  1. Yea my first system i had 6X9's amped in the rear parcell shelf with the low pass filter and running around 50hz at the time and they produced some pretty good bass for speakers that were $100. But you can't go past a sub for convential bass and its a lot tighter, easier to tune and better quality sound is my 2cents. Good set of splits tuned right and a sub in the rear, no real need for rear speakers is there. The sound of them is shooting up and from behind you, your ears face forward when your in the car (unless there is something we dont all know about  ) so unless you were to fade them to the front more and just run them as a high pass i can't really see the need for them. But in saying that you do what suits you and what you like the sound of, its your system and thats what counts at the end of the day.
  2. Cool, ust with a blow dryer or a heat gun and its better to try and do it on a hot day or a warm environment right?
  3. What sound is that boat???
  4. That seems a bit rough but if there is problems with the unit then its better to get another one installed and start over. But if you talk to a couple of pro installer like Chris ROgers im pretty sure they will tell you that $350 is fairly pricey, even for the best guys. The guy i was talking to originally to do mine was going to cost me $200 tops. Thats was to install the alarm/immobiler and central locking and boot release kit in my R32.
  5. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA i'll take one as well. I dont know about you guys but im in the market for getting a BOV thats similar to the sound a WRC makes with its wastegate. Its more of a high pitch squeal than a conventional "WHOOSH" sound. ANy ideas?
  6. Yeah i have heard its ok and im sure it will do the job, do you recommend heating it up before application Fhrx?
  7. You only doing these for the R33's or other cars as well? I have a R32 and might be interested?
  8. pics to [email protected] What have these been pressure tested too and the overall pressure drop?
  9. COULDN'T OF SAID IT BETTER MYSELF IF I TRIED SKYGTRLINE. ITS A PITY THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT INSIST ON FARKING IT UP FOR THE REST OF US, AND ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT LIKE TO HAVE CHEAP SHOTS AT OTHERS THATS NOT EVEN RELEVANT TO THE TOPIC :kick:
  10. Yeah i realise that guys, but my point being is when i did a general search for a topic there related threads throughout al of SAU in different areas, that was all my point was. I think the conjoined audio and security will be good and like someone else mentioned then maybe a technical sticky for certain threads regarding installs and reviews and how too's. Just my 2 cents
  11. Sounds like the regulator mate, take it back and get them to pressure test the system and check the lines.
  12. Ended up buying the Stinger roadkill to SD the front doors. Got it locally and wasn't a bad price. Im sure it will do what i want it too
  13. WHO says i dont know, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out numb nuts. Like i said SAu is about helping people out, not sledging people or having a go to publically humilate people. If you dont have anything contructive to say and all you want to do is have a go at me then you know where i am. Leave it off the forums and stop hijacking peoples threads with posts that have absolutley no realevance to the topic :usuck:
  14. WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE TOPIC, PLEASE KEEP THE SUBJECT ON TOPIC WOLVERINE11 AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME KEEP IT OFF THE FORUMS AS ITS NOT THE TIME OR THE PLACE :bs!:
  15. You can fit an amp in same location but it requires some work like i said. You need to move the rear wiper assembly motor and new mounting holes for the amp. You need a bracket for the front end of the amp so you have something to affix too. Your better off fixing the amp somewhere else like the back of the seat, spare tyre well or the side of the wheel arch depending on what else you ahve in your boot. Play around with it and see where works best for you and the install your doing as there are plenty of options to mount it in there.
  16. Been looking for similar information myself Jaff, but for a HR32 GTS-t. You will find that most of the local pplaces like Bob Jane, Beaurepairs, Hancook have all pretty much the same thing and very hard to get a wheel with the right offset for the skyline with a 5 stud pattern. Not impossible by any means but limits your options. If you ask me ou can't go past some of the import wheels that come from Japan. Im looking at getting a set from thre myself and have a few pics if you want i can forward them onto you? Good luck with find new rims
  17. I would pay $150 for it
  18. Very easy to access, you can fit another amp there i suppose but it might take a little bit of messing around as the stock amps are usually very small. You will work something out though im sure.
  19. What type of brand BOV is it???
  20. There not Aus approved therefore insurance company will not cover your alarm as part of the policy. If they find out its a non approved alarm (like i know one person did) then kiss getting insurance anywhere else goodbye as well. Viper to me is purely wank value and not really a great alarm unless your willing to spend $800 -$900 and upwards. Dont get me wrong protection is important for ya ride and worth every penny, but there are pleny of alrams out there (australian made/legal) that will do the exact same job and for half the price. Look at Cyclops, Vision and some of the others that you can buy locally. Talk to people in the business (CHris Rogers aka Audio Express) as they are always willing to help you out and steer you in the right direction. I didn't even buy my alarm from Chris and he gave me a phone call and helped me out and we live at the other ends of Austalia. To me that is a guy that cares about his job, know's his stuff and is willing to give up his time and knowledge to help out fellow car enthusiasts, we need more of these people and there are plenty of them on SAU. Look around and you will realise you can get a better alarm and save yourself a few dollars along the way. Think of it this way, the money you save on the alram itself, you can put towards a professional install. My 2cents anyway
  21. Nothing really on there as they are all 4 stud
  22. He's talking about Tassie mate, not your GF  JK
  23. Please explain why that would be???
  24. He obviously not into the racing seen either as you would go a GTS-t over a GTS4 if you were going to race. Its like the GTR's just more things that can go wrong. I was looking at a GTS4 the other day, black on that was in pretty good nick, can't be registered but it would suit someone that wanted a club/race car and it was a very good dollar as well.
