What other mods are you running to require such large cams??? You shouldn't have any drama's with stock springs unless your running more than 9.5lift Im about to install HKS 264 9.3 cams into my 20 and from the info i got when i was researching which cams for my set up this was about the maximum i would get away with before i would have to upgrade springs and grinding required. It really depends on how healthy your stock valve springs are and the amount of boost you plan on running but if the lift is only 8.8, you have healthy springs and you dont plan on running say more than 1.3-1.5bar i cant see you having any problems.
