  1. It wasn't so much the use of the L2 it was using the cams i've chosen and the tuner recommending not running them but run cam gears instead. Main reason behind this i believe is that he's spent more time tuning with cams gears and not cams as he pointed out it could take some time. Im hoping for around the 220/230rwk mark but hopefully with the cams helping boost come on a little earlier. Im not really looking for a magic number as such, but better drive ability with a good curve that i can overlap with driving the car on the road/track without being too aggressive and just winding more boost/timing to do so The old set up (prior to cams, injectors, Z32) it was pushing 205rwk at 14psi but given the size of the housing it was a little laggy but LOVED to rev
  2. Transfered 29/2/08 01:27:19 pm, receipt number: N022986488721 I replied to the sms and also sent you a couple of emails but didn't hear anything . Just checked again and the account details are correct (from sms) so you should of received it, no biggy though i just need the gaskets to finish the car hence trying to source them elsewhere. Not having ago at you or Cat just want to finish the car Trent and figured you guys have been busy
  3. Cheers cobber, Kuc helped me with my old Nissan powered Datto and also did the tuning and i was very happy with the results given what he had to work with After talking with him about my set up neither of us felt completely confident that we could attain the results im looking for but who knows how things will end up, if i cant find anyone keen i will more than likely let him run wild with it. Hey Simon i spoke with Jeff a couple of times last year and found him very helpful but have since decided to go with the PFC and do away with the remap from Dr Drift. Cant hurt to give him another call though but im not sure how many of the other guys would be requiring tuning work form him as most have switched to PFC and sought tuning from GT Garage Cheers Ben
  4. Got the heads up that the gentleman that borrowed parts/stuff from my car got caught doing the same thing today
  5. Because towing for 4+ hours, $600+ for the round trip on the boat with car/trailor, fuel, tune and staying over for the weekend would be pushing 2k After talking with him no as i think i can get more out of the set up from another tuner
  6. Make me an offer, its got to go.
  7. Look forward to seeing the results Jono, make sure you post them up
  8. Hey Dan my local Autobarn couldn't help me as "i" didn't have the part numbers, as you would see Trent replied last month about having them but i haven't heard back since transferring the money so the search continues so i can finish the car. I will call a couple of the AB stores in Melbourne/Sydney tomorrow and see if they are able to help out further. Cheers Ben
  9. Ok so im almost at the stage where my car will need a complete retune since being off the road for over 2 years In its time off since the last motor let go a new fresher motor has been dropped in and a few more mods What im after is an experienced RB/PFC tuner be it based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane that would be willing to come to Tassie to tune the car to save me the drama's towing it to Melbourne. I would pay airfares obviously (hell of alot cheaper than towing the car over) your time and if need be accomodation. I can organise the use of a dyno or track to tune which ever is preferred. What im after is anyone that would be keen to do so and a rough per hour charge so i can start sorting things out. The car/set up is as follows: 1990 R32 GTS-t RB20 motor with stock internals TD-06 20g L2 (10cm) - 47mm GReddy gate HYBRID GT FMIC HKS 264 cams TOMEI 555 injectors Nismo fuel pump Z32 Just Jap oil cooler and relocation kit APEXI power intake PFC This thread is purely to gauge interest if anyone (with relative experience) to tune the car that would be keen to come down, could maybe work it in as a little "see the Apple Isle" trip if keen I know people will say its a long way to travel just to tune one car and that who ever does it would be loosing $$$'s but thought i would through it out there and see, you never know if you dont ask Please reply/PM if you are said person Cheers Ben

  16. I've had a program like this for a few years now, the old man pointed me in the direction of it. Something to do with the fact of him getting sick of me constantly asking him i guess

  19. Hey Wayne no SAU club as there are not really enough members to warrant it and we are all members of a CAMS affiliated club within are region. Depending if you are going to be southern or northern based really, all clubs have pros and cons but if your going to be based in the south then look at joining Hobart Sporting Car Club where you will receive a discount anytime you use Baskerville Raceway as a member ($55 instead of $100) they run the Tasmanian Super Series (circuit racing) multiple club days, Tassie Drift Series and practice days and one of the longest running car clubs in Australia We will be having a SAU cruise/get together soon so hopefully you can attend and meet everyone Cheers Ben
  20. Voting ends tonight so if you haven't already done so you dont have long Oh and i thought i should let everyone know that someone was so desperate to have a SAU track day the signed up again just to vote
  21. Wouldn't consider a PFC subie??? If your prepared to pay 1k for Nistune a modded RB25/26 PFC wouldn't cost you much more with tuning, just some food for thought
  22. Still chasing gaskets haven't heard back from Trent, anyone else know where i can source them??? Cheers Ben
