  1. Hey guys i've gone through most of this thread and updated a few of the times for the tracks and will continue to do so for this year as well. If you have a laptime to be updated just shoot me a PM with the details and i'll make sure its done
  2. its funny you posted that cause i just sent them an email (from my personal account of course) and i've already come up with the cover story "it was ordered and paid for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before xmas but they were low on stock so i had to wait"
  3. It shouldn't really make that much of a difference with back pressure but personally id just wait till you can fit the 3" muffler correctly and not worry about the 2" Its strange that the 2" muffler you have (if its stock like you say) already has a 3" flange???
  4. Did they elaborate on why they thought it was the timing belt??? New oil (thicker the better) isn't going to hurt but it defiantly sounds like bearing knock from what you've described. Cant really compare the two though mate and given its age and being NA 200+ is getting high in ks considering it would of sat around for 2-4years prior to being imported in the first place. Throw that new oil in and see what happens but if i was you i wouldn't be driving it unless it was absolutely necessary
  5. Due to all the travel i was doing i decided to have the second head removed so i would "blend in" when i crossed the border. I dont get charged excess baggage anymore either which is nice but i still get some funny looks when im wearing my custom leathers at the track
  6. With a head like yours it should ALWAYS be a closed helmet X2 but its what your comfortable with, plenty of peeps out there wearing opened helmets but more so in tarmac/rally Wonder if the better half would notice a very late xmas present to myself
  7. I've been towing/carting a fair bit with my AU ute of late and cant fault it. It has the upgraded tow pack on it but it can be a little thirsty if there are any big climbs compared to when using the 2.8TD (rodeo) or the 4.0TD (cruiser) I towed the car/jetski when we had the VY wagon and that wasn't bad and a mate has used a S2 VT wagon for about 5 years as his tow car and never missed a beat. At the end of the day what ever it is we use to tow with and towing i make sure its secured down like a mofo, im only cruising and will never tow anything over its maximum weight allowance as its just asking for trouble IMO.
  8. Cheers Jess i'll look into it. I have my officials licence and have been a flag marshal, drift judge, pit lane marshal, dummy grid and worked side by side with the clerk of the course whilst running the local drift days here in Tassie so happy to help out anywhere i can
  9. Man this thing sounds like all sorts of fun, looking forward to seeing what times you get once its all sorted.
  10. Im keen to come over and help out if need be, are there any places close by to stay near the track???
  11. Get it checked out ASAP mate and go from there there are plenty of options if it is
  12. Yeah mate remove the black cover and expose the circuit board the best you can to see if you have burnt/damaged any of it. Id say that you have and that's causing the "beeping" but whether or not it can be repaired is another thing.
  13. Much of a muchness with strength as any decent whack is going to break either of them. FRP is going to be easier/cheaper to repair so it really depends on the look your going for. Personally id go the CF if there isn't a huge difference in price and just be bloody careful everywhere i drive
  14. Certainly sounds like a big end, i've never heard it describe in that way before though Duncan
  15. Unscrew the back of the cluster to get a better look mate, you will soon see if there was any damaged caused. It sounds like you have fried something but to what is hard to say without having a look at it.
  16. And im pretty sure there is something in the tutorials section as well!!!
  17. Dump pipe.
  18. Middle wire of your o2 and you should be right. Craved beat me to it
  19. If you dont want to cut it then you either have to move the exhaust or use some heat wrap on the bar to help minimise any damage.
  20. When you say you have "power" do you mean you have wired it in eg: power/signal/ground???
  21. *cough* co-driver *cough*
  22. Talk to Geoff from the SPEED LAB, Sam - Dr Drift or Toshi as they all have experience with stock ECU
  23. Coils, cam gears and other stock parts all still available.
  24. Sell it All jokes aside, it really depends on what sort of set up your chasing, if you want it to remain legal/street registered or a trailer queen? Whats your budget, auto/manual, are you only wanting to do engine work or rest of drive train etc??? Give us some more details and we can offer some advice
  25. Mate if its gas you want i've got plenty i just dont know if its usable though
