  1. Dude i would if it was any other weekend. I have my nephews 2nd Birthday on Saturday and my Niece's 1st birthday on the Sunday. If ya cant find any other poor bugger to help ya i'll let you know, might be able to get away for a couple of hours GMB
  2. Will do Well there's something that you can play around with then Dave I know that most of the bigger factories use encryption in there tunes so people cant d/l them and re-use them!!!
  3. Hey Lucky it was only minor damage and not more serious Dave (not that it would of happened at all if the low life oxygen thiefs had not of taken it) but i suppose you have to look at the bigger picture!!! PM R34 T88 Widebody im sure he would have the bit kicking around down here somewhere for you When it comes to an alarm i wouldn't skip and get a cheap one cause its cheap. There so appealing cause they are cheap but doesn't take much to get around. I put in a cheapy Ebay alarm fora guy in his 32 a while ago and it stated that it was 2point imobilisation (it was effectively only one) as they werent a seperate signal) it didn't have battery back up, BGA or cut the fuel pump!!! If you need a hand with an alarm or anything else give me a yell
  4. Nah didn't get a PM I've been having trouble with PM's on here and NS.com (think its cause of the Mac ) So you've moved to WA cause Tassie just wasn't warm enough hey compared to Japan
  5. I know that they can read/burn eprom but most of the smart tuners "encrypt" there maps to stop that!!! Thats why i was asking Dave if he did/does the same Good to hear ya back big fella, how's the car coming along??? GMB
  6. yeah Al's car is manual and im pretty sure he has narrowed it down to a dicky turbo.
  7. yeah i know who crashed and i think it just comes to show that the people involved obviously look at it from a drivers point of view. How long have they run the DOMAIN course and how many people have crashed on the straight (still got me buggered how you spin on a straight stretch of road ) but anyway its been done now!!! I'd put my hand up to be in on that... There are plenty of great roads that are ideal for it and i think a mini hill climb series would be awesome. Like i said i would put my hand up to do something like that and im more than happy to go and test all the roads Thats going to be fun for you Greg seeing as the box's in the clubman's aren't all that user friendly trying to get back into first I suggest holding it in 2nd and clutch kicking Sounds like someone needs a
  8. Yeah as Benno said its Kuc or Andy I can just hear you sounding it out while typing that K-ou-t-z
  9. LOL can i be next then??? It all comes down to personal choice i think when it comes to brake pads. Sure we can give you our opinions/recommendations on what we have used. I have had good results on the track with PAGID/HAWK/EBC but also used ULITMATES with good results. This was all in my R32 GTS-t RB20. Are you just doing the occasion club day or are we talking about a track car??? GMB
  10. Looking at your "to do list" and your currrent plans i would be looking at something that has already had money spent on it like this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A%3AIT&rd=1 if your only beginning then you dont want to spend too much money on a car for drift as its unlikey you will ever get your money back!!! Good luck with it though cobber and look forward to seeing you out on the track GMB
  11. Im pretty sure i still have a set i pulled out of one my cars, i'll have a look and see. What happened to the box that Benny G had for the bellhousing???
  12. Hey mate glad to hear that you finally got the car and you are happy with it (sounds like your over the moon) As for the oily crap it would of been spraid for quarinteen when it came in (if it is this then your best bet is to go to shiners to use there cleaning bay then you can either finish it off there or take it home for a good hand wash and then polish (the joys of owning a car!!!) As for the number plate on the front well you should just be able to use some 10MM bolts to screw it straight into the front bar (should be a support) and then your ready to take your first big cruise (i suggest a trip to Orford Look forward to seeing you around with the new toy GMB
  13. Yeah a couple of us were talking about this yesterday, sounds a little gay if you ask me but hey they have to do something to slow things down i guess!!! Funny thing is i think it will only cause more people to spin/crash and do more harm then good with the placement of the chicane!!! Entry list looks interesting and should be an OK event but it wont compare to the previous years, the track just doesn't cut the mustard if you ask me GMB
  14. Still doesn't explain the mixed results everyone has been getting with the 98. I can understand those that haven't had tunes not seeing any difference but for the many that have paid for dyno time and have ultimately taken a step backwards, it doest really say much for that!!! Like i mentioned before i run the truck (454 big block) on 98 and it does run better (pulls better down low and easier while towing) but i have also used it in a few other vehicle (cars & bikes) and i haven't seen any difference and not going to rush out to tune with it at the moment either!!!
  15. Well without heading up north to see Brad or going to the mainland your locked into seeing either Kuz, Howell or PA here in the south. I would just go see Kuc cobber and get him to do it. Are you going to tune it for 95 or 98??? Power with those mods you should see min 170 on low boost
  16. Hallock had on from Shell's old motor i think so PM him
  17. Glad you got it back Dave, even if there is further damage. Give me a yell if there is anything i can give you a hand with GMB
  18. Dave where abouts was it stolen from, i'll be out and about most of the day so i will keep my eye's out for you Hopefully it turns up with no more damage and nothing missing. GMB
  19. Do you know of any 33 wheels that aren't 5 stud??? Pretty much all GTS-t wheels will fit 32, you can run into trouble with GTR rims though
  20. Its funny how people have an opinion that 98RON is worst than the 95RON PULP that they use at the moment on there stock car!!!! REMEMBER that your car hasn't been tuned to 98RON and there are a number of factors that can influence performance gains with tuning. Just filling the tank up with 98RON instead of 95 isn't going to give you magical perfromance gains. It does seem that the first impressions of some people that have had there cars tuned to 98 is a little disappointing considering the rest of Australia dont seem to have these problems that we are experiencing here in Tassie at the moment. Having said that i run the 4X4 on PULP (was running a worked 202 now has a 454) and i found that once we got the 2nd float running right in the carbs and replaced the pick up that the truck ran better on the 98 than the 95 and its not reving as hard as it was original when we had a load on. Now this is a little different given its not forced induction, its not EI and we run a set of 34's with cruiser diffs and now a different box, so the ratio's are different and i know that contributes to the rev factor, but while towing a load it does seem to run better on the 98.
  21. There are a few people in Tassie with Eprom gear now. Look forward to seeing the dyno sheets, are you able to copy maps that are already on a chipped ECU??? Dr Drift tried with the one that was on mine but it was encrypted!!!
  22. After speaking with a few people over the last few weeks since its introduction there have been mixed results with 98RON and re-tuning. One thing i have noticed with most people's varied results was that they all still retained the stock ECU and was just running a SAFC/AVCR or manual boost control. I will retune my car to 98RON with the new motor (being done in Melbourne by Dr Drift) and hopefully i will see better results (more torque ) so its even better to slide!!!
  23. Hey everyone just asking to see if there is anyone in the north of the state that maybe able to help out current Super Drift leader Lindon Reynolds and his partner with accomodation. Lindo is on a very tight budget and it would be great if anyone can spare a room for him and his partner at all They are arriving 2morrow and would leaving Sunday i believe so if you can help out please let me know ASAP. [email protected] 0411 431 149 Cheers GMB DrifTas
  24. I know what your saying Wogboy and i do agree but i have done it on a R33 and if you take enough time and dont rush you can do it without it look dodgy There is another grommet about 10MM away from the main one one that you can fit the speaker cable through (this is what i used) But i do agree that drilling another whole and puttinig a grommet in is alot easier (and can be neat) but i think some people would run into more trouble taking off gaurds and getting them to line back up if they haven't even had experience with pulling audio cable through
