Im pretty sure he was waiting for it to arrive but didnt want to miss out on the drift day Put a 1.9MM metal gasket in (should pull the compression to 10:1) and it will handle that on its ear. Rev better than any worked Rb20, more torque and about the same cost as building a forged 20 I know which one i would be going (i need $$$ )

Matt what size overbore you looking at??? I can get new forgies for Rb20 for a similar price of what your budget is GMB

Ok so most of you would be aware that we are running another drift day at baskerville Sunday July 30. Now i want to try and organise for as many SAU members (or non members with a line) to come along so i can get some footage and some pics for something i am working on. Now this would be a great time to get yourself a SAU sticker (see other thread ) so we can support the site and get it out there in the public eye. There are some quality Skylines in Tassie at the moment and i for one would love to see em all in one place. Be a good chance for everyone to meet up/catch up with everyone else and also to check out each others pride and toys So if your keen or have another suggestion then feel free to post up and let me know Cheers GMB

Its only Optimax mate. So considering what you can buy Martini or Sunoco for (much better fuels) i wouldn't waste my money. I would run with 95RON and some Martini OB (will bump it upto 98.3RON) and its a lot cheaper doing it that was as well GMB

Well add up what it costs if you blow a motor (Rb26's are not cheap to rebuild) and finding parts is just a pain in the arse. Compare it to a R32 GTS-t with a lo comp RB25DE, strap on the hairdryer and dial in 16psi and you have 270rwk's and lots of torque. We all know that torque equals fun The main reason Adam asked this question in the first place was becuase he only had the GTR and we had our first Drift day here on the Apple Isle. He now has a drift pig and i believe the GTR will be left for its daily driving duties Cheers GMB DrifTas

Loving the pics. My old man raced a humpy for years (obviously before i was born ) he is building a replica of the Morris Holden (Morris Minor with Holden running gear) which Jack Perkins built and race back in the late 60's. Its amazing some of the photo's that are around today for motorsport, i wonder if we can use them to show CAMS that they are over the top sometimes Keep those pics coming guys, love to see the old stuff. There are a few guys that run martini (as i have borrowed some when i got stuck) but most run Sunoco (which is more expensive) and if you talk to most of the top runner in Targa (specially the skyline guys) majority of them that i have spoken to the last few years run Martini or use Martini OB Its the best smelling fuel (not that i get a kick out of sniffing it ) i think the only thing that is better is happy gas or jet fuel Its long overdue for better fuel to come to Tassie and i cant see it being related to a cost factor cause i would say its a safe bet that over 50% of people that are using 95RON premium would use 98+ in the cars. Lets just hope its sooner rather than later to get to the pump!!! GMB

Nulon is not bad but i would still go Martini over it. Just better bang for buck in my opinion!!! Well keep us all informed on the progress, and maybe tell the distibution bloke that we are more than happy to test/plug anything they want so long as its free Thats one of the best ideas i have heard yet, i think we should take that straight to the big guy (Mr BP) and tell him that he cant get better exposure for product that than all the Tassie Skyline drivers!!!
