  1. No worries mate anytime, thanks for the interest in the car.
  2. Thanks Matt, had a good run with you in the GT-R on one pass. I had a pretty good day, the drag radials didn't go as well as I'd hoped on the GT-R, but I'm getting semis fitted to it all round next week so that should help, ended up doing a 12.2 in it. Had a ball in the Datto, it went 11.6 (about 0.15 off its best, the 60-foot times were way off), enjoyed doing a bit of opposite lock off the line on a few passes. Also took the opportunity while it was quiet to teach my girlfriend how to race, shes only driven the car a couple of times before on the street but still managed a 13.3/108mph and beating one of the lancers in the process, just got to get her to launch right now Thanks to those who organised it, was a good day. And to the idiot in the WRX that cut me off on the highway on the way up there, did it help you get there 5 seconds quicker?
  3. Thanks Bec. I haven't raced the Datsun for around a year, since last years drag day I think. Looking forward to it.
  4. Will be faxing my entry off on Monday. Got tyres sorted so can't wait to get out there and give it a go.
  5. I'm going to bring both cars, borrowed a set of 275mm wide MT drag radials for the GT-R and will be racing the Datto on slicks (might do a couple of runs on street tyres first), hope I don't break anything!
  6. We sell them where I work, they seem pretty popular, the boss has been on one and reckons its a bit of fun, and of course it would be, thrashing someone else's car on the track
  7. Happy birthday mate
  8. Any pics from when the wheels were on the GT-R, curious to see how well they go on the car. Thanks
  9. I'm pretty keen to enter, just have to sort out new tyres for the GT-R
  10. What sort of support are the NDSOC members showing to this day? The last drag day held by the club the turnout was pretty disappointing, I'm considering heading up, but not if there is only going to be a handful of cars there.
  11. Damn gotta be quick around here, I'm interested but not sure whether the width will be too wide for the R32 GT-R?
  12. Like Greg, I've also done two of the NDSOC events over there, great fun and both tracks are great to drive on. One of the guys is organising a trip over there in February as well at the moment (the trip is not affiliated with the club), the two groups might pass each other haha.
  13. Did you get one of their big stickers to put across the rear window? Those stroked VN motors go alright.
  14. There are a couple of places to stay in Heathcote, just off the highway.
  15. What other mods have you done to yours? interested to see what it makes once its been tuned.
  16. Thanks Al but I'm right. I get people offering that all the time when I say I want to race both
  17. At worst I'll be there in one of my cars, but hopefully I'll have both there
  18. I'm currently looking for new tyres for my R32 GT-R. I've narrowed some choices down to the Toyo RA1 or Dunlop RSV98 in the standard 225/50/16 size. Can anyone recommend anything else similar to these two? I've been quoted around $315-$320 a tyre for these two.
  19. What size did you get these tyres in and what sort of price if you don't mind me asking? I am looking for new tyres for my GT-R (standard 225/50/16 size) and the local Tyrepower recommended the RA1s to me. Was quoted around 315 each from memory... Don't know whether to go for a high end street tyre or more of a comp tyre like the RA1
  20. Might try and get out for this one as well.
  21. Damn I will be in QLD on holidays during that time, definitely won't miss the next one.
  22. Great pics mate, do you have any more that size? Also another vote for the 1990 or 1991 scheme...
  23. A doco sounds like a great idea, I do know Gavin, he would be more than happy to help out I'd imagine, you can generally find him most months at the NDSOC monthly club meeting. I took a heap of pics of the GIO car at Phillip Island earlier this year which I will put up on the net soon.

    Drag Day Wrap Up

Thanks for posting the pics, I ended up running a 12.1/115 which was a pb for the car along with a few 12.2's and 12.3's with passenger. Car also did a 1.67 60-foot time, which was pretty good for the street tyres. Any chance of getting this pic in a larger size? Cheers
