Thanks for the comments guys. Didn't do it to raise the value of the car, I don't believe it has/will, would be better off getting a standard glovebox and selling that one on ebay or something if I ever sold the car haha. But I guess it does make the car a little bit more unique compared to the other ones out there. Couldn't really embroid it as its hard plastic? And yeah Skaife sure is very hard to get hold of, I was lucky I reckon Cheers

There is an auto paint place in Thomastown on Settlement Road near the train tracks, its opposite the pool place. Not sure if they are open on Saturday. I don't know if they have that, but they are more specialised regarding auto paints than the usual retail outlets

Hey guys, During the week I had the stupid/crazy idea of getting Mark Skaife/Jim Richards to sign the glovebox lid from the GT-R the next time the V8 Supercars were in Melbourne. With the Sandown 500 on this weekend, it was as good a time as any, so I went along today with the high hope of getting them to sign it. Here is the result I got Jim Richards to sign it when he returned from his Porsche cup practice session and he was great about it, when I told him it was for my GT-R he said "Oh Top Stuff" and happily signed it and the cases of two 1:43 scale race GT-Rs I have too. Mark Skaife was a much harder man to catch, after waiting patiently along the fence near their trucks, after nearly an hour I decided to walk into the fenced off pit area behind the pit garages and track him down. Luckily I did only a couple of minutes later. He seemed very busy and not that interested at all, but I expected it (and fair enough he does have a lot of stuff on) but I still told him how much I appreciated it. Anyways just thought I'd share the pic, I thought if all the HDT/HSV owners do it with Brocky etc, I can do the same with my car, and I don't think too many GT-Rs would have that sort of thing. Cheers

Thanks for organising the night, was a pretty interesting place to check out. -
I never said Supercheap were the distributors for K&N, Rocket are, and if you read my post correctly, you'd see that.
-
If you know what the K&N part number is Supercheap Auto can order them in through their account with Rocket Industries, the Oz distributor for K&N stuff. If Rocket have it in stock it should only take a couple of days, get them to call and check first. Hope that helps.

As much as the Jeep would make a good tow car for the Datto, I will decline that. Will enquire about getting a comp test done, the motor is standard/unopened with no apparent problems. -

I also forgot to add that I am not interested in swapping the car for anything, especially another Skyline. Thanks -

thanks guys for the comments. Also forgot to mention the car has an immobiliser/alarm which meets Aus Insurance Requirements. -
I have decided to put the GT-R on the market to see what sort of interest it gets, I am interested to sell it, but if it doesn't get the price I am after I am happy to hold on to it for a bit longer. Here is a reasonable run down on the car, more pics and any questions can be answered via email contact at mazdarotary.net Thanks Ben For Sale: 1990 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Gunmetal Grey 2.6l Twin Turbo 4WD Engine Modifications: HKS 25/30 Roller Bearing Turbochargers, Malpassi Rising Rate Fuel Regulator. Full Stainless Steel Exhaust system including Mines’ Dump pipes, high flow 3-inch Cat, Jazma muffler, really good system, gives the car a mean idle and sounds tough on boost, Twin Plate Clutch, HKS Electronic Boost Controller, HKS Pod Filters Suspension/Brakes: Tein Coilovers TEIN EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Control) System, this allows you to adjust the hardness/softness setting of the suspension via the incabin controller. There is a big difference between the hardest and softest setting and is nearly my favourite feature of the car. Near new DBA 4000 Series Slotted rotors on the front with EBC Green stuff pads, very good brake combination that gives very little fade and pulls it up strongly. Standard (5000kms old) discs on rear. Yokohama Advan AVS ES100 street tyres, very good street tyres. Interior: MOMO Steering Wheel, aftermarket gearknob, rest is standard GT-R in very good condition, no holes etc in dash, seats are extremely good, no tears/marks or stretching, tailored car mats. Switch for disabling 4WD system (turns car into Rear Wheel Drive only) installed under dash near the boost/suspension controllers. New Sony 6x9 rear speakers which are not hooked up, still has standard head unit and front speakers, the radio is set to the Japanese 75-90fm frequency, I used the FM transmitter on my ipod to get around that problem. Exterior: Gunmetal Grey in very good condition, one very minor dint in right hand front guard, front bumper has several small stonechips, rear spoiler has minor scratches on the supports underneath which have been touched up. Paint has not faded at all and the exterior is in very good condition considering the cars age. Performance: 12.25/114.5mph quarter mile, very consistant mid to low 12-second car, has the potential to go a little bit quicker as is, better rear tyres will put it in the 11-second zone. 248kw at the rear wheels on 14.5psi (PET Modifications Dyno, March 2006) Other information: Car was purchased in late November 2005 with 57K kms on clock from a fussy collector. Car then had all belts changed, including timing belt, along with a full service using Castrol engine oil and Redline Shockproof gearbox oil, NGK plugs. Work was done by CREATD Motorsports. The car was recently serviced in late April once again using Castrol Edge 10W/60 oil and NGK plugs and has now traveled 63K kms. The new front brakes were put on at this time (the old ones will come with the car as they were still ok to use). This work was done by PET Modifications. The car is also maintained inside and out using Meguiars products. It is about to have the rear subframe bushes replaced using Whiteline parts. There are no mechanical problems with the car and it drives very well. It has been extremely reliable, never breaking anything or damaging any parts since I have owned it. It also has a genuine Nissan Owners Manual for the car. It is an awesome street car for the price, very little will keep up with it around bends or in a straight line takeoff, a few more mods will get the power to near 300kw at the wheels. There have been some sensible, good modifications done to the car which eliminate the problems the factory components create (turbos, clutch etc) while the exhaust, suspension and brakes are also a great upgrade. You will find some GT-Rs advertised for $20K or below, but compare them to a car like this and the difference is more than a few grand, in both the long run and the cost of modifications that are done to it. A aftermarket/retuned computer, bigger fuel pump and injectors and you are looking at 300rwkw+ I am the first registered owner of the car, and have been very fussy with it. Am selling due to not having enough time to drive it, and wish to pursue other automotive interests. There is probably info I have left out but cannot think of at this time. There are no problems with it at all, the reasons for selling are completely genuine. I just do not have the time to spend doing things with the car anymore, and it is a lot of money to have sitting under a cover. Asking price is $26000, with registration until late November 2006. Currently has Z1LLA personalised plates on it, but these do not come with the car, normal Victorian registration plates will be reissued on it. RWC will be supplied upon deposit ($1000). Please email contact at mazdarotary.net for more photos or information about the car. ABSOLUTELY NO TIMEWASTERS, TEST PILOTS or TYRE KICKERS, PRICE IS FIRM AT $26K Offers below this will not be considered at this point of time at all. Note: Malpassi not fitted in the above picture

the MR MAD torana was awesome to watch, the last? pass I think it did where he backed off then hit it again to run a 7.1 was fantastic. Flew up from Melb for the day to check it out, had a great time, plenty of awesome cars, spewin I missed some of the earlier GT-R passes.

at the meeting at bells hotel last night i noticed they had plenty of posters up saying that the fight would be televised there, its just down the road from the casino.
-
I rang Crown about an hour ago and they told me that it isn't be screened anywhere inside the Casino. They mentioned some other pub nearby so they must have had a few enquiries about it. Spewing cos it would have been great to watch on that screen they have.

Cool thanks! Will trophies be given out at tomorrow nights meeting? Or in June's one?
