  1. Nice pics, what viscosity is that Pepsi? Managed to get out there in time to catch the last event on Saturday, the cars looked great, the GT-Rs sounded awesome! Some nice machinery there. Well done on the results.
  2. GTRGeoff, Take it somewhere else, got nothing positive to add to this thread then don't reply. LTHLRB, Yes you just turn up on the day and enter like a normal Friday night Calder meet. Justin911, Yeah if you enter the 13-second bracket you'll be racing against other 13 second cars. Some people might do what you have suggested, the only other way around that is to do Dial Your Own racing, but I was outvoted on running that type of elimination for this event. There is a 2/3 hour test session before eliminations so that people can get a good idea of what their car will run.
  3. I was in 4th in that pic and its a GT-R not GTS-T.
  4. Yep I have the same problem, been told a wire has to be cut? I'm sure a search on here will find something, surely its been covered before. Pain in the ass when it happens though
  5. Thanks Gavin for adding your input to this thread. Ghostrider, we'll notify you next time the car is out in public so you can come down and have a look . Thanks
  6. Thanks furyous for the run down. The car I posted pics of was the one that was changed to car 15 for Bathurst 1986 from what I've been told.
  7. Because saying something on here obviously isnt enough for some people, however I'm not going to go out of my way to prove something to 3 people, its not my car I was only posting the images as I thought they would be of interest to some on the forum, at the end of the day it doesn't bother me, and the owner sure isn't bothered by it either. It does have the books, and I have since found that it was entered as the number 15 car in the 1986 Bathurst race, however campaigned as the 30 car during the season. Next time I get the opportunity I will take shots of the undercarriage, inside the ashtray, up the exhaust and anywhere else is necessary... A few other people have raised some good points, I have nothing further to add to this post... the defence rests.
  8. thanks for posting it mate, any chance of changing the title of the thread to include the date/location etc so it gets more attention? If there are any questions about the event please let me know as I am one of the organisers... Cheers Ben
  9. thats cool, you have your opinion, i have mine, we can leave it at that. If I get the chance to 'get' more proof I will take it and post it here, until then we'll agree to disagree. BTW the car isn't mine incase anyone thought so, its another member of the NDSOC.
  10. I agree with you... there was not much that could be done regarding what the previous owner did however. I did state that the current owner intends to remove the extra fittings to revert it back to its original status. <_< Not quite, sorry to disappoint...
  11. Or perhaps you don't know jack about the owner and think you know it all about the car. FYI the car has the logbooks, it was well researched before purchase and the owner is an ex-Gibson Motorsport employee, so I suppose he wouldn't know much about it then. Nobody is going to pay big dollar for a mockup circuit hack... I don't think anybody here was/is a 'dumb ass jerk' nor did I try to roll anyone with posting the pics. The fact that you ripped in with the tall poppy syndrome led me to believe why bother, and thats why I edited it all. For those still interested, pics are here (wouldn't want anyone to think I am trying to scam them):
  12. All the mods were done by the previous owner/s. As i stated previously, the current owner plans to have a bit of fun with it before reverting back to its original specifications (remove bodykit as well as a few other mechanical parts and possibly motec system)
  13. See a few where I am in the northern suburbs, just never when I am driving mine
  14. edited due to know it all, mods feel free to delete
  15. Raced mine last Friday, first time out with it, managed to run a 12.75 at around 106mph after a couple of high 12s, which wasn't bad, full street trim. Just tricky working out how many RPM to launch it at, too little it would bog down, too much and it spun heaps...
  16. whens the rotary going in?
  17. nice work mate, will have to come over and check it out sometime
  18. the fullboost DVD also has a bit of Skyline stuff on it amongst a heap of other things, you can check out more details at www.fullboost.com.au
  19. Name: Ben Age: 22 Location: Thomastown Car: 1990 R32 GT-R also have a 13BT Datsun 1200 Coupe and RB Gemini Bought the GT-R a month ago and have been using the forum a lot more since, a lot of good information around. Theres the GT-R Theres the Datto
  20. I got it from CarBra Australia, they are located in Reservoir (even though its right at the end of Thomastown). Heres the link to their website: http://www.carbra.com.au/ They had the R32 GT-R pattern/template already made, although the vents next to the number plate had to be cut out. Quality seems pretty good, price was around $370 I think.
  21. I got a carbra for the R32, in the pic it hasn't been adjusted properly thats why it isn't sitting straight over some of the openings. Looks good and will keep all the bugs and shit out of the cooler... Hope everyone has a good day!
