Yeah sorry for that, it was either make a new thread or continue on with something that was kind of related to what I was after
DJR81, I haven't received them yet, will take pics and post them up once they arrive and are fitted.
Sorry to dig up an old thread.
The pic above, will that be enough to provide decent cooling using the factory ducts and the deflectors mounted to the lower arms?
I've got the front bumper off my R32 GT-R at the moment, doing some mods and was wondering whether anyone cuts through the inner guard to provide more airflow into the wheel well using the two horizontal slots that are either side of the main intake opening on the front bumper?
I'm sure I've seen at least one fast R33 GT-R at the track use this method (used plastic mesh similar to what you put over a gutter to keep leaves out etc to go over the hole).
I've attached a pic showing where I am talking about. I tried searching the forum but found minimal info about this type of thing. I'm presuming no one really does it because it's not worth it?
And isnt that going off these days since Aldis moved in lol
Sadly I've been to the pool place behind Leisure city, better off going to Q Room or Legends opposite Epping Plaza haha
Thanks mate, yep Meridian for the cage. They did a great job.
It's currently back in the workshop getting a HEAP of stuff done, will come back a completely different car. Can't wait to get it out on the track again.
Car is mainly driven to the workshops or track, very little street driving these days apart from the odd drive through the hills etc.
However I find the wings around the top of the seat very easy to deal with, it allows the seatbelt to come through normally and I don't have any probs looking right when changing lanes, looking to the left needs a little bit more concentration but the half cage in the rear is more to blame for that.
Haha I'm 6'0, about 103kg, which is why I went for the GT version of that Cobra Evolution I posted up on the previous page, fits nice.
Although I also agree with Roy, its easier to wind a bit of boost into it than drop a heap of weight
Just got a Cobra Evolution GT fitted to my R32, even driving it home (1 1/2 hour trip)from the workshop to my house in peak hour traffic I found it comfortable and the head restraints were not an issue (only a caught me out a couple of times when looking over my left shoulder to change lanes). I'm not small, so I found the head restraints offered a bit more support for my upper body as well over the normal style seat.
Nice work winning the rims mate! They looked sweet, were they the RS ones? I priced up a set for my GT-R.
You're car looked/sounded good out there, came past the garage a couple of times but you (or anyone really) weren't around.
