    I had to choose between Compak Attak at WSID this weekend or Superlap, but I've decided to stick with going up to check Superlap out. Will be cheering on the Vic guys!

    Yeah thats true. Thanks for the advice. Last time took about just over 8 hours to get home from the track (only stopping for fuel).

    Thanks mate, I normally stop at Gundagai for the night whenever I head up for this or WSID meets, done it a few times now, the return trip isn't too bad in one stint at night because the roads are quiet.

    Summed it up nicely, worst motorshow I have been to since I can remember (I've been going for at least 10 years now), even the cars for auction weren't as good as previous years (even though there isn't much that can be done about that, but still lol), inside was quite disappointing.

    Not sure if this map will work, but check out where Oran Park is and then maybe search wotif.com.au for accomodation in some of the larger towns near there. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=oran%20pa...l=en&tab=wl I'm planning to drive up and stop half way on the night before then travel straight home after the event.

    Thats true, last time I was out at Sandown with MSCA, I was held up for a few corners by that GT before finally getting alongside it on the straight and passing it.

    I still have the standard sump in mine and run an extra half to one litre of oil, a few of the Vic guys do that from what I've read. A catch can will help especially once out on the track and an oil cooler will definitely help out as well.

    I used Castrol Edge 10w60 for a while but have swapped to Penrite Sin 10w70 and haven't had any issues. You will probably get 10 different answers to your question as everyone has a different opinion etc...

    I agree with Marlin and Sinful's first posts. Did about 10track days last year and found that the standard GT-R seats lacked support and I was bracing myself a lot more through corners etc to cope with the movement. Will be fitting a proper fixed back race seat and harness soon.

    Haven't noticed many redbacks, but every couple of months I find whitetails inside the house and normally there will be two at a time for some reason (sometimes spaced by a day or two). Nasty little f**kers.

    Probably shouldn't comment on here, but... John is an awesome driver. Known him for a while through the NDSOC and MSCA track days. If I'm half as quick as him at that age I would be rapt.
