yes wider wheels can give you more traction, but what ric is trying to say is that cars are designed with those wheels in mind... so certain suspension components are also engineered to work in with the standard wheels.. and a large change from standard specifications can have adverse affects, such as the wheel bearings.. if you go too wide with a very drastic offset, you'll start to load the wheel bearing beyong thier engineered tolerances! so the limitations imposed by vicroads and adr, are not there to stop you having fun with which wheels you want to put on your car, but as a safety guideline.

Have forsale a spare TPS from a manual R32 GTS-t i thought my tps was stuffed.. so i went and bought a spare one from a wreckers... turns out my tps was fine.. so i do not need this tps anymore $80

Ok, Ive just put an Rb20det into my S12 Gazelle and all the wiring is complete... came to start up time the other night and it idles nicely! however will not rev! plugged the computer into the consult port and get an Error Code #43 tps (throttle position sensor) now i have put a forward facing plenum on the rb20det so i had to extend the wires for the tps (both plugs) theres a plug with 2 wires going into it and theres a plug with 3 wires going into it, both for the tps anyways the computer is telling me there is 0 volts registering on the tps, and when i open the throttle it doesnt change. however i believe i have extended the wires correctly... so i got out my multimeter .. pulled the plugs off and tested it... the 3 wire plug gave me 5.12V incomming from the loom with ignition on and the 2 wire plug gave me 11.96V incomming from the loom with ignition on are these values correct? if so does this mean my tps is stuffed? and why is the computer reading 0 volts when my multimeter is reading 11.96v and 5.12v? could really do with some help guys... thanks

lol you guys are funny! i always say it, and i will say it again "something is only worth what someone else is prepaired to pay for it" so when someone offers you less its because they arent prepaired to pay your asking price! get over it, especially in this economic climate.. you might wanna get used to it! i personally dont think an n/a will ever be worth more then a turbo one... i don't care what p plate restrictions say!

i love how people put dollar values on cars... i stand by this well known quote "something is only worth, what someone else is prepaired to pay for it" so i spose you then test the waters.. start it at $13k as i see you've done (although i dont think a s1 is likely to sell for that value, its a good starting point) and you progressivly drop it depending on how desperate you are to sell the car until it does actually sell! i'm in the market for a S2 R33 ... and i know how much i am prepaired to pay for one that takes my fancy! and unless someone can better me ... i feel that is all the car is worth... as upsetting as it is.. well all need to be realistic about car values,... especially with the state of the 'economy' at the moment

Pat, the vicroads weight is not worth the sticker its written on! my gazelle's rego sticker says it weighs 1400kg ahahahahaha what a joke! r32's are legal for the old system of 125kw/tonne.... ive never heard of anyone being done for power/weight in an r32 gts-t ...

i understand what your saying, and i feel sorry for that bloke if that was the case.... however what this guy did to me is straight out THEFT! and from talking to other people who have had their s15's taken recently... sounds to me like im lucky i didnt have a weapon pulled on me! im thankful to be alright! thats my first main priority.... we'll wait and see what happens with the car, it will either turn up or it wont its just a matter of playing the waiting game! however i have full comp insurance and theft is obviously covered! and theft is exactly what has occured! i DIDN'T say to him "sure thing mate, just take it... i dont care!" i was still half in the car when he took off i had one foot in and one foot out of the car.... he took off hard.. stopped to let the door slam shut then continued on his way with my car

sorry guys, i dont know what condition the car is in now! but picture a pewter s15 that rolls off the production line back in 2001.... and thats what mine looked like! no scratches, no dints, no damage no stickers when it was stolen it had a brand new red leaf air freshner hanging from the rearview mirror. just been tire shined, wheels had small amounts of gutter rash, but nothing huge and whole car was immaculately clean! still no word from the cops, so either he still has it, or its been dumped and no one has found it!

it was stolen at 3.30 this afternoon near the westgate bridge... he headed off over the westgate bridge towards the western suburbs,... so if this fits the time frame.. it could well have been my car... did it look all clean and shiny?
