is the ratio in autos from the factory higher than 4.363 cause they are 4 speed?

u guys are lucky mines even shorter, rb20 with s13 ca auto diff must be like 4.3:1 im looking at 4000rpm in fifth gotta get a 3.9:1 too by the sounds

get the mechanic to put it back to stock boost control solenoid/setup then just ground the black wire between the solenoid and plug, seriously its that simple (or tell im to do that) ie cut it and attach it to car body - ground or even grab one of those turbotec boost controllers in forced induction section $22 thing if u want a few more psi

u have a manual boost controller so the standard boost control solenoid as you said is unused hence modifying an unused part is well useless/stupid

dont know about very slow, but u have standard ecu now?

yeh its in my blood too, my old man is in his 60's and he is still burning around in a modified r33 its fun i just race him in my rb20 180sx only thing is I wish i saved more for things like travel overseas n stuff, whenever i go away for a while i think dam why do i spend my money on the car and then get back to the car and sydney and its on again oh well

phew lucky i saw this am getting some recaros put in atm will be getting the custom rails certified, apparently gets added to the engineers certificate for the rb conversion

just convinced my dad to let me have a crack at his r33 and do this mod, went for a spin and hes happy with the improvement from 2-2500 up to over 4000rpm great stuff simple easy mod

looks nice for sure, good deal with warranty and all imo wouldnt bother with the turbo timer for the complications u have listed bit of a gimmick just dont thrash it in the last few minutes of driving b4 turn off if u want some power look at a 3" exhaust system or somin, if doesnt already have, but yeh nice car!!

i sent a couple of emails last week with no response so just ordered one on ebay and got delivered very quickly

pop the turbotech inbetween that nipple on the intercooler pipe and the wastegate actuator nipple ie remove hoses from the solenoid and dont use it i suppose i put one on my rb20 which didnt have a solenoid, works a treat

thanks SK and rhett, hmmm, yeh got that little link hidden in the controller fine and had the controller plugged in first and got the db25 cable from jaycar should be the right one i hope. elbee said maybe the dot and line chips are the wrong way around, would it do that i dunno, might give that a try too

yeh its a bit of a pain but ive learnt a bit while putting them together and in the car....its funny messing around with the ecu wires lol dont know what im doing really dam screen comes up with blocks on the top line and no numerals or letters on the lcd sooo if any ideas

im trying to use one, got it in the car but not happening at the moment, im gonna get one of those $22 boost controller things while i try to get it working

so i turns the screen on and all i get is blocks on the top line of the hand controller, light comes on ok and turning the little plastic screw works makes the blocks on the top line lighter and darker..... problem is there aint no letters like output input or h or l like there should be, its connected to the IEBC and is installed in the car all wired up anyone had this happen, any ideas?? have i stuffed up the IEBC somehow im sure the hand controller is constructed fine its basic
