  3. No no not the 'twin turbo' pipe itself, im after the intercooler hose that connects to it.

Cheers for the input guys, i have some decisive info about this whole thing: I just got back from my engine builder, i took out all plugs etc, cylinder 3 and 4 plugs were a little wet around the bottom of the threads, 4th plug was blacker than all the others, others were fine. Anyways we chucked the camera down all the plug holes and found that all the bores are completely glazed, i saw for myself they look like chrome, no hone marks whatsoever. The outer circumference of the 4th piston is clean as a whistle, the rest of it carbon, it seems this ring isnt sealing, and 3rd not as bad but still clean. Im thinking the others wont be far away. We had 4th piston up, cranked it down and we saw oil sitting at the top of the bore, it started running down the bore. We also checked the valve stems while they were open, there was no oil on any of the stems. My car has always blown a fair bit of black shit since the tune (never revved it over 4k or flat stick before the tune), but i didnt think anything of it because i thought it was right. What the f**k has caused this to happen to my engine??

  7. No not MNP! Now everyone wants it haha... If youre going to go MNP dont go MNP1, because your model already came factory with this colour. Do MNP2 or 3, then people will know its custom paintwork, which is good (pretty much double the price tho)

  9. At this early stage im not expecting you to want to, but can you sell me the top right intercooler pipe? the one that goes from the chassis mounted metal pipe to the 'twin turbo' pipe. PM me if this is possible. Cheers!

  12. Well i was thinking that the shortening of the guide might have caused to premature wear on the valve stem, giving sideways play and then the valve not seating properly..? Yeah i know the 'porting' is good hey
  13. Expert opinion needed: Does this look like it could be a problem after some time? Before: After: Notice a fair bit of the valve guide has been taken away during the porting job.... Cheers!

  16. Cool. Yeah i agree with you guys as well on the blue smoke issue...but what about the intermittent low comp?
  17. But it doesnt do it all the time...straight after it was doing it, i tried to catch it and did a comp test quick, but everything was ok, and it suddenly decided to crank fine.
  18. Its easy to hear. Kinda hard to explain...if you pulled one spark plug out then cranked the engine thats what it sounds like. Im leaning toward valve stems and seals. After much discussion i think a problem has been caused by the head porting. The lower part of the valve guide was removed during the porting, and i think this has caused valve stem and seal wear, this could explain the intermittent low comp issue if the valve is worn from side to side, it would only seal sometimes? Is that a worthy point?
  19. Yes head was fully reco'd; revalve regrind reset clearances etc etc, genuine nissan stem seals used...i guess that still doesnt eliminate them though. Could very well be a turbo or two, would a faulty turbo leak oil only sometimes though? Once again theres no excessive oil in the IC piping or breather system. A vacuum leak or dirty afm wont cause low comp on cranking, what would, but only sometimes?
  20. Well, when the blue smoke happens, the car is at NOT, when driving, i always let the car warm before i drive it anyway, ive done that all its life. I never drive unless its at about 40deg. Haha ive got a feeling it is something serious...
  21. No chance. Maybe if you made brackets to attach the either side of the box to the strut towers?
