  1. Hehe that looks funny. How do you set the pressure? Screw adjustment or different springs?
  2. I think thats a great idea. If the sound measuring equipment at future events is likely to be as bad as it was this time round, forking out money for a quieter exhaust seems a waste. Hey Russell didnt you run your car with the muffler on at Sandown no problems? That was back about this time last year. Was the gate in or out?
  3. ^^ your number plate probably wouldnt have helped haha
  4. Thanks Snow, Bris did mention the PIARC days as well. I will be aiming for one if possible. Still doesnt explain why many other loud cars were out until the last session. Anyway.. Yep Purple 32.
  5. WORST track day ive ever been to. Fair enough that they reckon my car was too loud. Thats fine, it is pretty loud, not that I ever expected to get booted for it; im happy to accept that. I got 2 sessions, $105 a pop, great value. Despite cruising on the second (didnt want to go home) they still booted me. The fact that Newton (as one example) was also done is a joke. His car is almost whisper quiet. They pretty much sent half the field home after the first 2 sessions. The other thing that really pissed me off is that there were still some cars circulating that were LOUD AS FARK! In particular the white late model WRX, last session. Favouritism much?? This makes it very unfair for those who had to go home early. WRX Club dont have enough common sense to ask questions as to why so many people were getting done for noise? Sure they said the meter was calibrated 4 times, so they say, but obviously there was a problem with it that this didnt fix. If they were so sure that their meter was correct why would they even do it 4 times?? WRX club/CAMS/PI/Whoever have failed to ensure a credible meter was used. Pretty sure ill never go to a WRX event again if I can avoid it. Im sure alot of other people are as bitter as I am. Edit: On the up side, the track was sensational. I really enjoyed the speed and the g's. Cant wait to get out there again.
  6. Holy shit im bringing 40L of fuel plus half a tank. I thought that was alot. 98RON. 320kw.
  7. So not the RS3s anymore? Or typo? O3Gs are R Compound semi slicks..and different manufacturer..probably price too. Imagine having them fitted by accident haha

  9. Hi Dave, Will be good to see what you think of them. What times have you done on KUs / RSRs and what tracks? Also what car? Will be good to get a comparison from another user of the KU / RSR.
  10. Thats good. The Advan stuff seems to be sooo pricey though. Would also be keen to see how the Dunlops Snowy just suggested go; considering their victory in SL clubsprint class. They must be decent! Whats a set of ADs worth? GTR specs
  11. I think it must depend on how you drive it and how you treat the tyre, with regards to how youre bringing it to temp etc. Our mate Johnny has been running his 32 on 235 KUs around winton, the tyres have done literally 8 sprint days. Between me and him doing double entered sprint days and him now doing quite a few more the tyre life has been awesome for him. Plus some street driving. On the Queens birthday weekend his tyres were farked. Edges gone and tyres were almost slicks. I dont believe you can get a 1:38 on 'rock hard' KUs. A PB for him and the car that day. He also completed the second most amount of laps out of 80 cars that day. Crazy kid. I love the KUs, I think theyre great. Ill definitely give the RSRs a go when im due for tyres. See what theyre like as well. Hopefully they come in wide 17s. edit: One thing I have noticed is that the grip really drops off after 3-4 laps if you slide alot with the KUs.
  12. Just some real life data: I sent my CAMS Tuesday morning this week, and received it this arvo. So still plenty of time to get your CAMS sorted.
  13. Carbon cover now sold, offers welcome on the white cover. Cheers.
  14. Hey dudes, cheers for the interest, got a guy coming tomorrow night, so will let everyone know how that goes. I dont think these would fit a 4 door, the floor pan is the same as the 2 door but where the actual seat sits who knows.
  15. I know which id prefer to have holding my bonnet if it popped up, especially at a track as fast as PI.
  16. OK, SO, theres no ciggy burn actually. That was the front I was thinking of. Cheers.
  17. Thats not complete and thats not all you would need for a standard plumback setup. You still need the pipe that runs across behind the intercooler as well as the other piping that actually plumbs back into the intake pipes which is another 3-4 pieces.
  18. Hey Fellas, For sale here, the rear seats out of my 32 GTR. Good nick, no rips or tears. I think theres one ciggy burn though. Comfy as! Pics to come. Fronts NOT available! Located Melbourne. $150ono Cheers, Mat. 0400 558 030
  19. In as well. Busting my PI cherry! Pretty excited! Whats the status of your thing Snowy? What are the boys up to?
  20. Rev my car then rev Russells? haha. There wont be a difference you could actually feel while driving the car...well maybe Tarzan could, thats about it! You wont regret the FReddy. When I made new intercooler piping on the hot side of my car, I actually considered replacing the 3" with 2.5" or 2.75" on the cold side, but cbfed since there is already an AFM in there, but it wouldve been sweet.
  21. Theres no real advantage apart from the throttle response of the ITBs. The GTR plenum has a 3" inlet FFS. Not the mention the volume of the thing is even too big for anything pushing any less than ~400kw...same goes for the 3" GTR piping. Youll net a better result with a FReddy plenum, stock throttle body, and 2.5" piping everywhere and heaps cheaper. The throttle response and boost response will be alot better than stock and boost response better than any 3" pipework...
  22. Nice one mate, glad to see its coming along well. Hurry up and join the club where we actually get to drive our GTRs...! If youre not working late every, single, night, youre not working hard enough.
