  1. why you think that? have you driven a 32/25? its like putting in a v8 compared to the 20. the torque of the 25 and weight of the 32 is amazing.
  2. eh...no modifications are ever straight forward or 'bolt on'. i hope the results are worth the frigging around. keen to see how they go back 2 back - car seems like a weapon already
  3. You still havent answered the question as to what type/thickness FMIC youre running. Have you made any effort to ensure all airflow actually travels through the rad ie sealing and cowling of the radiator to the rad support???? Same with the oil cooler? Any type of cooler works 1000% better with ducting/cowling. It appears the car is mostly used for drift??? You need to make the most of the little airflow you get... Again a pressure test shows absolutely nothing about the cooling ability of the radiator.
  4. The holes around the outside of the filter are are the IN side. Use this info to determine which is OUT of the engine and IN to the relocation.
  5. You need to change the 'RB20 and RWD. Can't go wrong...'
  6. Saw this car Saturday night @ Glenny. Looks pretty nice mate, one of the nicer 34s around. Fitment is spot on, love it. Only thing that ruined the car was the SAU sticker lol.
  7. Yeah aka series 1.5. Is there spark? Are the injectors pulsing? If you take the CAS out and spin it with the IGN on you should be able to hear them. Id be concerned about the large white plug. You need a pinout of it to see what runs through it. Might not run without one single wire connected. If you PM BH_SLO32 he may be able to tell you what important stuff is in that plug. He knows heaps about RB wiring. Its good you have power everywhere, good start.
  8. Yeah spoke to Chris yesterday....or was it Monday...anyways its all coming along and hes gonna call me soon. Hes working on getting the bottom half done. Top half should be ready to go i think.
  9. Pics Price is nego, reasonable offers welcome.
  10. Only cos you aint got it But its been proven you dont need it to win DECAs...2010 top 3 baby
  11. You cant compare street VS dyno because you would never see some of the loads you see on the dyno. Not for a quick squirt in 2nd or 3rd anyway. SO dont assume its fine. Black smoke / knock could be plugs or coilpacks shitting themselves up top. If not those something more serious. Because youre running 18psi, my bet is what Sean is saying. The oil is building around the PCV and then on decel it sucks the oil into the engine via the PCV. I had the same problem around the track, every gear change id have a massive plume of smoke from the exhaust. It was the PCV sucking oil from the rocker at constant high revs. Try blocking the PCV and removing the recirc to the rear turbo to check if it goes away. You may also need to remove the resistrictor in that recirc hose to let the engine breathe a little better. Surely the dyno operator suggested all this?
  12. Its fairly easy. Just find yourself a S2 loom, uncut, chuck it in, and there will be a few wires you need to power up for it to run. Theres a grey plug on the P/S side which is power for injectors and coilpacks etc. Wire a couple up to power and thats done. Then there will be 2 or 3 white plugs which require start signal and a few others to run. It ll be tricky...Pinouts and wiring diagrams will help you. If you want to run the 33 dash then thats going to be a bit (alot) of work. Just run a Monster tach or something for rpm! OR if youre really keen, transplant an entire R33 loom into the car! That will make things alot easier with wiring IMO. If youre willing to do it yourself itll be alot cheaper than having an auto elect wire up a full standalone such as a WOLF or something else. Youll also save on tuning if you can run a std ECU or even a PowerFC is alot easy to tune than a universal ECU and will run better.
  13. Thats a silly suggestion. Clearly theres a more serious problem at hand, clearly only a bandaid fix IF it did do anything. Too much oil in your head and you may eventually spin a bearing from oil starvation, the Nitto pumps pump alot of oil. As others have said, a smaller restrictor may be needed. Take car back to engine builder? What is his take on the problem???
  14. THIS deca thread sucks...what happened to 10+ pages leading up to the event...we need more shit talk. Ill start by saying Russell's win last year was a fluke thats why hes too chicken to run this deca...he instead pretends he has a wedding to go play music at...
  15. Hmph does this mean im sitting by myself
  16. Hey guys, For sale are my beloved wheels from my GTR. They are: RAYS Gram Lights 57s PRO with TITANIUM LIP addition in 19 x 10 +22. Amazing wheels, very unique, people always commented on these wheels. These appear BRAND NEW, no marks or rash etc etc. Even the insides of the wheels are clean and mint. Have done a total of maybe 1-200km if that since new. Theyre fitted with Bridgestone RE001 275/35/19, top of the range street tyres, still with the mould flaps on them, pretty much 99% tread. Fitted to my R32 with no guard rolling or flaring. Suits 33s and 34s perfectly. Im after $4500 for these including Genuine RAYS centre caps and tyres, as you see them. Located in Melbourne but can arrange freight if required. Cheers, Mat. 0400 558 030
  17. Yeah Howard wants about $800+ GST to make a set of hats...which I thought was rather excessive. Engineers wouldnt charge that much...
  18. GOT IT thanks
  19. Try selling on some different sites...SAU isnt big on these unfortuantely, great ECU though. Try some Datsun, Toyota or sport sedan sites, maybe even my105.
  20. I think youll find almost everyone will be going, a large bunch of us went last time...it was pretty good.
