^^ It would probably be better not to. Glaze you got pics of your beast? At least show us the result and make this thread even more interesting! Yes yes you do indeed get what you pay for...you cant expect the job to be perfect considering the money you pay and how quickly they move cars through there. Now if you went to a place like say MP Smash in clayton you would pay alot more but they spend x10 more time prepping the car and all of their customers are x10 more happy with the end result. But hey lets take it easy in here because it is in fact really good to read about peoples experiences with something as crucial as paintwork without the thread being closed.
  3. How the hell did you fit a 6 cylinder in there?
  4. its not the ride....its the rider.
  5. Good work Russell!! That is awesome mate, youve been wanting that win for so long now! Also what does DNS mean? Is it jumping the start?

  7. Nah do the cooler before upping boost, as excess heat generated by the higher boost wont be handled well by the stock SMIC. The best next steps are I think: Dump pipe and Front pipe: Gives you a slight increase in boost just by freeing up the exhaust gas flow. Also dont buy any ebay items. It sounds like you care about your car so dont punish it by putting ebay shit on it. The minimum I would consider is Just Jap's Dump and Front one piece pipe. They fit well. FMIC: Buy the Just Jap return flow cooler. No cutting, its legal, and the cooler compressed air gives you more power. Again no ebay shit here. Up the boost: No need for a bleed valve, grounding the stock solenoid will give you about 10psi, if you dont already get it from your free flowing exhaust. You can read more about this if you search.
  8. Yeah dont write them off yet, give them a go. They can work great if you do it right.
  9. Yeah I was going to suggest the same thing. I know you want to be a cheapskate, but if youre going to all this trouble you might as well make it go fast... Having said that please do the oil pump instead of the water pump! It is WAY more crucial to the engines survival, not to mention its piss easy to change the water pump later if you have to.
  10. Hey guys, As ive decided to can my 26/30, im now selling off all of my 26 parts, which means selling off this head. Mid last year I had this checked and prepped and has been sitting ever since. The head was hot-tanked, valves checked, surface lightly skimmed, and valve clearances checked with the standard cams. The head cam from a perfectly running engine with 70,000 odd kms, no smoke of any sort. At the completion of work the head was fully lubed up and wrapped tight to prevent any foriegn articles entering the head. Lucky I got some snaps in before it was wrapped up. Im after $1600, this includes everything you see, and if you want them, the head bolts, cam gears and cam gear bolts. Located in Melbourne, no problems arranging competitive freight. Cheers, Mat. 0400 558 030
  11. Did you ever try running it with VCT unplugged? As stated above it should lose midrange and gain up top... Also I know its not much of a help now but running a 25 loom and ECU/PowerFC wouldve eliminated alot of bullshit that you cant be sure of at the moment, but each to their own. I havent had alot of experience with 3.0s but GT35s on 25s love boost. So does any big turbo. Each psi from 20 upwards gives you like 30kW each step up. Well not that much but you get the point. They also like lots of timing. ie much more than 16 under full boost.
  12. This thread sucks. Needs pics of RB25 in Torana.

    Pcm Valve

    HAHA thats gold!
  14. Its a matter of trying them and seeing how much better they are. Sure for the money 595s are great, but if you want ultimate traction in a street tyre theres plenty of other options not too far from 595s pricewise.
  15. 595s are shit. Go Hankook S1 EVOs or Conti SportContactIIs or the Kumhos Russell runs. 245s are plenty too.
  16. pistons have no markings but build appears to be fully jap, they measured at an amazing 87.5mm, and considering there is only 4, theyre useless good for paperweights or ashtrays.
  17. Hi, As topic states for sale is a Sump and Front Differential Assembly removed from a late model R32 GTR with approx 70,000kms, in perfect working order. Not much to see, but if you really need them, I can take some pics of it for you. Its just a standard sump that has had a quick degrease. Includes LHS Internal shaft, input shaft, diff cover etc etc. Located in Melbourne and competitive freight can be arranged. $350 Thanks, Mat. 0400 558 030

  19. HAHA @ Angry Marks performance at DECA. Were very proud of your smoke shows and the cloud of dust was funny too! Just want to says a big THANKS to Ryan, Chris, Bec and the many other people that help make this happen so successfully each time, especially the timers and other volunteers. I had a great time as per usual, was just a shame that I only saw Saturday night out to 10:30pm :\ I miss The Aussie antics. Also thanks to Martin and Anna for getting some awesome shots, hope to see more soon. My next-DECA resolution is less drinking for more consistent times!
