  1. IMO the alignment was rubbish! Toe always has the ability to be adjusted...having said that there is no reason for it to be 2mm out! If there was play in the ball joint then they should have picked that up and told you. You've made a mistake not taking the car to Kents, they are automotive engineers...they would have been able to pinpoint the problem (bent bits in this case) and tell you what needs to be replaced and do it. Im sorry but you cannot shift a strut tower or bend the front of the chassis from hitting a gutter. I dont understand what Vu is going to 'pull out'. You havent had a 'heavy collision' so to speak. Some other suspension links, the camber arm mount (unboltable), the subframe or the upright/kingpin assy must be bent. Ideally, you would set up some string lines and see where exactly the front hubs are sitting in relation to the rest of the car....that would tell a few things.
  2. Yeh guys ive gotta say this 'cheap job' is as good if not better than most 'top notch' jobs that kents pay thousands for :\ looks great from far but up close there are no nasty surprises. For the money paid it is bloody insane value for money thats for sure! Patti Panels are a great alternative to say DT Panels, if you want a cheap but great job, hit James up for a quote, you definately wont be dissappointed. And as Russell pointed out, they can also do a showroom finish if thats what youre after. btw im in love with the new look of Russ' car!
  3. Just another couple of pics shown on an old car of mine...with standard camber and suspension they really sit tough!
  4. Cmon guys these are the most reasonably priced wheels on the market :\
  5. How do you know the injector pulse time at idle? Check that you have supply voltage (12V), continiuty of the signal line to the ECU, and check the ground(s).
  6. Isnt that what couple usually do? I feel sorry for Dean, he will be the third wheel Thursday night.
  7. Yeah I say Mexican hats are in order for sure. Can we use them while on the skidpan in the arvo?
  8. Hey mate, nice car. What gearbox is it running? The RB20 one or a R33 one?
  9. Not expensive my ass. Theyre like $96 odd from nissan so its not cheap. But having said that its the best thing you can use. Have you pulled your manifold off yet? When you do just have a look which way all the pieces fit together. The factory ones are in 7 pieces too but theyre an assembly.
  10. Does any blue smoke come out of the exhaust?
  11. Well I know they will definately fit on a 34 GTt...check out WARLORD BAS' D1Rs for sale, theyre the same width and offset as these wheels. Im not sure how 33 GTSt guards compare to 34s...but you wouldnt be able to use the 285 tyres thats for sure. With stretched 235s or even 225s (if you use 50 profile tyres), and fairly lipped guards, these would fit and look absolutely insane.
  12. Heatshields. The Nismo dumps dont come with heatshields.
  13. Is that a fact? I dont think so. Why do you want a Tomei or HPI copy? Ill tell you whats better. Stock 34 GTR dump pipes. They flow awesome (400+), theyre stainless steel, and they will never even crack or fail like cheap shit copies.
  14. Well we did what we could with what we had, theres not much more than that to it, but yes we all know the circumstances are not ideal. Yes the AFM numbers were tweaked to make it work but the tune is still very safe. The car runs a bucketload more fuel pressure from stock which gives us a little bit of headroom, which again is far from ideal but has proven to work just fine in the past if correctly executed and this case is no different. Having an extremely clean and well maintained fuel system is paramount, moreso than usual. The dyno is not a happy one, many cars have been in and around to dyno days and such and have made the same figures. To help back that Bas made very close to the same figure with this very turbo, on Trents very reliable hub dyno. We do believe this turbocharger is a freak one! The happy dyno argument is one thrown around without much thought sometimes. Cheers for the positive replies Trent and others.
  15. Well you hit a big ass rock so was any fluid pissing out??? ie engine oil??? if you attempt to roll start and the wheels lock (given that you have a fair amount of pace up) the engine could be seized.
  16. PM 'WARLORD BAS' Hes selling a full T67 setup. Trustworthy guy to deal with.
  17. Pffft...clearly you guys know nothing about expensive wheels....these would have been big$$ new, youre forgetting the p zeros are bloody expensive tyres not to mention 19s in general. Just because theyre second hand doesnt mean theyre worth nothing. Free bump for awesome wheels!
  18. nice one russell!!
  19. Yeah I got a stocko HG on 360kw.
  20. LOL why would you put a SR20 turbo on? Its more trouble than its worth...theres so many better options available. Why dont you want a RB25 turbo? The VG30 turbos are laggy on RB20s. What power do you want to make? How much money do you want to spend? BTW a typhoon turbo (if youre talking about a FORD turbo, thats a GT35 haha) too big. A mildly hi-flowed RB25 turbo would make decent power with good response, if you want to something even better, get a HKS 2530. That will give you awesome response and 220-230 with the right mods.
  21. You have stock 32 GTR dumps? Throw them away they are RUBBISH! It would have been really silly not to attend to those when you the turbos done...oh well. Get a set of 33 or even better 34 dumps which are stainless. These units can flow to 380kw. Yeah the 32 N1s were not the best turbos...BB or not they dont flow as good as the 33 or 34s.
  22. It could run 20 but id imagine there would be too much heat generated and power would go backwards... Yeah this is sold.
