HKS gears are a bad idea dude, as they only have 3 securing points they are known to fail.

Matt: price for AP 330mm rotors and where from and how thick please? Thinking about adapting those to my 315mm Alcons. Cheers!

Yeah Prinny kebabs are pretty good, you guys should hope for the girl with the big bazookas to be there serving Alis is still better though.

Yes that is a bit lean... Although it depends if were talking about a forged or standard engine. Definately not safe for a standard engine making that much power... Try a SARD reg. Top quality product.

Owners of posts #90 and #91 clearly dont know much about women. We're (SAU) all being taken for a ride here, by this thread, close it.

Hmmm...pics from Saturday night...

Id say most likely not, shes probably changed her mind again. I used to know a girl like this, good thing I got the f**k outta there. Now shes in deep depression, failed uni, dropped out and trying to do all sorts of bad things to herself to get attention LOL. Life's test = FAIL.

WOW what an insane weekend! Thats all I can say! Firstly thanks to Ryan and Bec for arranging a spot for me, I know the tuesday entry was a big ask! Cheers! Thanks to everyone else who had a part in organising and running the weekend! A great job was done! Russell that pic is awesome! Thanks Martin, some great photography in there! Launching all weekend was great fun!!! There was some great driving out there this weekend! Was great to meet new people too! I have quite a few phone pics from Saturday nights events...ill post them up as soon as I can. I thought the food was pretty good, although the 2 hour wait wasnt, oh well, gave us more time to drink all those fishbowls!

So skyline drivers (yourself included) are 'cock smoking knobs' ay? Considering thats who were talking about here right? Thats a real nice one. 'I should be able to drive a GTR and not be a target for cops.' The operative word being should. Yes you should, we all should be able to, but its simply not the reality of the situation. Anyone who doesnt realise this is just plain ignorant. It never will be an ability that skyline drivers will have. To drive around and not be targetted. Its a simple nature of these cars. So recognise the fact.

Cheers Birds for seeing the argument the way im trying to tell it and elaborating further, youre spot on, you summed up the arguments well. Im just telling it how it is...if its too harsh, too strong or unfair then bad luck. Lifes unfair sometimes. Its really how it is. Its not unreasonable. Sometimes you need to be cold and harsh to show reality to those who are ignorant and fail to see the big picture. Anyway like Birds said 'driving a sports car goes hand in hand with police attention', so at the end of the day whether our club is shown on the news in a bad way or not, being unfairly treated by the police is inevitable, and I just think people on here should stop complaining about imports 'being given a bad name' due to a minority thats all. Its something we have to live with. Get used to it. I dont want to see the club turn to shit, its a great club, we wouldnt be on here if it wasnt, yes it is worth arguing about lol, and I do understand youre trying to make an example of how members of this club should and shouldnt act, Ash. Yes most of us do our best to behave as well as we can, so hopefully people can see us as an enthusiast club, not a hoon drivers club, and we can enjoy cruises and trackdays in future without being down upon by the community.
-
Well it seems alot of people whinge about these kinda things more often than not. So hardening up would be the operative as opose to crying about it. Its not about being mature or not. "You cant just join the club, slap on our stickers and then go and do burnouts on the street and say "I can do whatever I want"" But you can join the club and do whatever you want. Just dont get caught if youre stupid enough to do it. When I became a member I signed up and put the stickers on my car. Im not saying I do burnouts regularly but I could of done it with members of the public watching and degrading our club. How do you police it Ash? One guy who gets caught on TV...fair enough find out who he is and take his membership away from him. My point is that hes not the only one...and yes SAUs do cruise/drag Princes, it happens WAYYY further out from where you live though. Ive seen SAUs doing stupid shit driving home at 5pm in peak hour. You cant stop it, just have to live with it.
-
Yeah hes well worth the postage costs (not much).

Then buy a family car if you cant hack it. The fact of the matter is that things like this will always be happening, it will never stop. If you buy a commodore, same thing. So go the family 'segment'.
-
You cant compare your car to an EVO9 because its a MIVEC-Turbo. Youll never have that response. EVOs are slow anyway the top end isnt that great I dont think. Dont EVOs run like 20psi factory anyway? With GT-SS or even 2860-5s (a tad larger), standard cams, and a PFC tune from Racepace, you will have insane power, response and fuel economy. You WILL be happy with that! Give the EVOs a run for their money!

I wouldnt even bother with the whole 'east side' thing. One place and one place only: Race Clutch (07) 3847 9999. Speak to Jim Berry, he will do the job properly and at a decent cost. He knows everything about clutches. I had my HKS twin plate rebuilt by him. Cost me $1400 and its perfect. No dramas.

Anyone here actually used to go Calder park every week to watch and go do drags? I say every week because thats what most of these people actually did when it was open. To say there are track days winton sandown blah blah blah is no argument. They dont compare to weekly drags. Are they on every week track days on every week at a club? NO. Do you need membership to drag at Calder? NO. Do you need to pay 170 to do a run at Calder? NO. Its simple to see people that visit Calder Park weekly have moved elsewhere. Its the same crowd. If you guys' local LAN Cafe was shut down youd be cut too, and move elsewhere at any expense to get those CS hours in. Im not saying what these people do isnt illegal and sometimes stupid, but seriously, who cares. Let them. Most people on here need to harden the f**k up, instead of sooking when a SAU sticker is seen on TV etc. Whether or not a cop recognises the sticker on the side of your car youre still going to be treated unfairly. You all would be surprised to see the amount of SAU stickers on Princes highway on a Friday night doing stupid shit. 50% of the people out there drive sklyines. SAU members arent angels thats for sure. This isnt 'SAU - Anti-hoon Vic' its a club that anyone can join and do whatever they want, so its expected you get some idiots. If you dont like seeing SAU stickers on TV with people doing the wrong thing, stop whining and take the sticker off your car! Leave the club! Buy a family car. Pretty simple.

femno replied to femno's topic in Wanted to Buy
Hey man. Yeah grabbed the drifteks from Trent at Mercury. The condition was as expected but I didnt expect them to be mis-matched. 2 were 5 stud and 2 were 4/5 stud. Bit dissappointed but what can you do. I havent tried them on yet but will do soon enough. Then a nice strip and 2 pack full gloss black -

Thanks guys I now have a set of 17s that fit. Cheers. -
Well youre kinda asking for an impossible thing. You have cheap and very good condition in the same sentence. My guess is anyone with a set of these for sale wouldnt be contacting you as they would expect a low-ball offer back going by your request, or something along those lines.
