Maybe we (SAU) needed some extra funds...thus a HUGE ad at the top of the page....

Whats he like pricewise? Obviously not CHEAP because he does a decent job, but hes reasonable? MP Smash in Clayton did my paint, top notch, Showcar finish AND STRAIGHT OUT OF THE GUN! Most panel shops rely on the buff to bring their work up to scratch, stealing away previous layers of clear.....but good shops dont

Haha cheers fellas, just hope the mods get some ideas and answers out of it.. but hands down to the mods as they do a good job here on SAU, its just that this isnt one of their best decisions...

For one, I didnt even know that editing has been removed on purpose, it is only until I searched around and found this thread that I now know that you guys got rid of it. I too, dont even know what the report button did until now. It seems only a few of the same people in this thread have posted here. Imagine the rest of SAU who dont know about any of this. THOUSANDS THATS WHY YOU HAVE NO REPORTS I think its stupid. People make mistakes in things they type and the way they type it. Why have to go thru so much BS to change a few words around? As if theres not enough FS threads already...now everytime someone wants to add something to a thread they have to create a new one! WTF! Ive had a thread going for ages and its worked beautifully being able to edit. since 2006. Having to read through the thread to see if somethings sold is BS. Most people dont know how to manage their thread effectively, so they get PMs re things previously for sale. Then they dont reply, then people get shitty. Now if I change something on my car once a week and want to sell or swap (it does happen), thats a new thread for every week. Doesnt make sense at all. And you're worried about storage space? Its not hard to avoid dodgy traders. Its common sense. 1. dont buy from someone with neg feedback. 2. dont buy from someone who signed up a day ago. 3. dont buy from someone who has no posts. Its easy. This is a 'bandaid', 'knee jerk reaction' lol I HOPE YOUR NEW SOLUTION IS PUTTING THINGS BACK THE WAY THEY WERE.

Thanks man, that was exactly what i was looking for. Its amazing how you search and search on google and you never find places like that!

Well if you only changed a couple of things then it has to be one of them. The 'bought some vacuum hose, ran it from the engine to the intake pipe and with that hose i tee'd off a 2nd hose wich i connected to the bov plumback outlet' sounds a bit sketchy....
-
^^ Hes probly sad cos he dun have a car worth stealin
-
No 33GTSt is not the same as 32GTSt and wont fit. Why couldnt anyone just say that?
-
Ha. No catch cans have 4 inlets/outlets. And since when were you meant to have manifold vacuum direct to the catch can? Are you really supposed to? Wouldnt it draw through the turbo intake and create a leak? If it was me i would just put it in between the hose on the right (turbo side) that way the oily vapour wouldnt go through your turbo and cooler, which is what its meant to do....

Fs/swap: Kakimoto 3" Catback Exhaust For R32
femno replied to jakez88's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I have an Oval Tannabe s/s Catback for 250. PM Me if youre keen, im in Melb also. -
Well since the aftermarket dumps come out at 2.75" it seems silly to go back to 2.5...but I understand where you are coming from Ash as 2*2.5s flow the same as a 3.5. I have thought alot about this. 2.75" and 3.5" Pipe and exhaust components are hard to come by...3" is very popular and I would imagine i would have more of a choice with mufflers etc. I have never seen 3.5 inch mufflers for sale anywhere, the only ones i know of are Benno's hand-made ones in this 3.5 systems...they could be slightly out of my price range... So not much of a difference. What im asking is where I might be able to find mufflers that are good for twin setups, compact cats, and also 'X' joiners to act as balance pipes. Cheers.

Latest pic of mine @ Sandown a week ago with the shitty race rims on... And an older one...but a goodie! Not much had changed since this pic anyway.

WTF are all you people on about LOL Its tape left on after the respray...thats all the guy wanted to know....

On the hot side. ie as in where there is boost.

Hey all, Over the holidays im going to make up a twin 3inch from the dumps back for me GTR, and after searching i have a couple of specific questions. Now im wondering what mufflers people have used at the rear as twins and where to get them. I want to use stainless ones. Brands and body size. Id also like to know if and where I may be able to get the smallest cats possible instead of using the big conventional bolt up type cat that everyone uses on a single. Weld-in ones would be ideal, no need for flanges. Balance pipes. Are they a must? I notice none of the jap units have them but is it because they are supposedly tuned-length? I understand it would be difficult to get the pipes the exact same length...If not will there be any power loss and is it possible that the exhaust will be more droney than usual if i dont have them? Im in VIC so if anyone can recommend any shops that would be great too. Yes i know theyre going to be loud so I dont need any advice in that Thanks in advance. Mat.

Yeah bloody shitty facebook...

Good idea and all, but theres too many bits that can go wrong... If the unit fails (which seems complex) then BANG engine bye bye. Keep it simple i rkn. If you cant handle the noise dont drive a car that makes alot of power!

I have a tank in my boot with braided lines and it stinks out the car, but all you have to do is open the windows and 5 mins later its gone Mine is all rubber mounted but its still pretty noisy. On idle you can hear it, but cruising not really. Like Ash said have the music on to overcome the buzzing

If someones going to help you well need some more info. Like what kit you bought. If its the JJ stealth one you dont have to do any cutting on the chassis. If not there will be cutting involved. You may also need to cut the rio and/or front bar. Brackets if supplied dont usually fit straight up so some improvisation is always needed.
