Was good to meet a few of you while I was up there... I'll be sure to come back soon... Was nice to have so many cars well prepared and ready.

RB's sound WAY better... pity there so much heavier....

R34s - These require a lot more work to make programable, the two options are either the grid board from japan, or the bikirom which costing a bit more has a lot of extra features. There is also considerable amount of time fitting both types of board to the factory ecu. I still haven't finalised prices on these, or developed a good per-tuned map for. We made some good gains on dan's R34 using the bikirom on friday night too...

CC - thanks for pointing that out. The problems with the daughter boards vibrating loose only happened a couple of times years ago, and only in S13 SR20's... All S13 SR20's now have adhesive foam stuck to the lid securing the board in place. I am also now using the PLMS boards which have never had a failure to the best of my knowledge. All the CA, RB20, and RB26 remaps all use gold plated machine pin sockets which hold the single eproms extremely secure. All the S15's and R34's all have larger boards attached with fine pitch ribbon cable and secured to the factory case with four screws. Sam.

Sorry, been extremely busy with the new shop didn't notice this thread.. I've extended my stay till monday evening and have 12 spot left Thu & Fri, and 2 on Sat. Not much e-mail access so please call on 0425 818 755 if interested... drifterx - hey does gavin have the ability to tune the factory ecu's in real time with full map tracing and live updating (no switch off switch on etc), if not he may be interested in my tuning package which is available for trials to selected workshops, as he's obviously experienced with factory ECU's he would surely see the benefits in actually tuning in real time.

Hey All, I've managed to get a couple of extra days here while I'm remapping a few clients cars and will have one spot left Thursday and Friday for some real time tuning and remapping of factory ECU's in Oxley (Brisbane), and 2, maybe 3 spots, left for Nerang (Gold Coast) on Monday. What is remapping? If you do a search I'm sure you'll find some positive feedback from clients who've already had their cars tuned/remapped in real time. I have some new software and hardware that allows total control of the factory ECU in Nissans, and can be tuned in real time with outstanding results! Yes? What next? I wont have ready access to my e-mail for the next few days, so if you would like to get your car remapped, or need some more info, please call on 0425 818 755, i may not answer if I'm on the dyno so please leave a message and I'll call right back. I'm sure you'll see some results posted soon from some of the locals who are already booked in. Sam.

Looks like I'll be in Brisbane or on the Coast 19th to 22nd of January.
-
Dan - I will be in QLD early next year and will be bringing my emulator which works with bikiroms for real time tuning.
-
Can I pleeeease??? That would be so cool if you'd let me Seriously though, won't be back qld way till early next year... Sam
-
badbiki - As you are aware I have the same emulator as you. If you are prepared to send me a board for the R34 I will install it into a customers car and do a full product review for all to see. Darkhalf - The same offer if you like? I'm more than happy to provide an unbiased opinion on both products. Sam

Pauls inlet was already set around 2/3 degrees advanced, which is why we didn't see the gains that Bass did. Summary: Moving the adjustment of the inlet cam gear from the back to the front is an excellent idea. If your cam timing is not right, you can expect some noticable gains. I would highly recommend this modification to be done when the timing belt is being changed, or the cams are being upgraded. It is a very simple procedure that provides extra flexability when tuning, and may help find some 'lost power' that some 33's are missing. Sam.

I thought that was a valid question... The way I understand it is that Matt can now tune in real time R34's with the limited address table. Still needed is TP scale for 'calculated' map tracing, k constant and injector dead time for swapping injectors, VQ map for swapping AFM's, speed limit, af limit (boost cut).... Only when we have all the pieces will the daughter board make the PFC inadequate and also provide a solution for auto's... hooray!!!! Matt, Please update us all with your progress on the adress file identification? Sam.
-
lol..... ok... how much do you want? PM me and I'll gladly contribute to your research.... but seriously, I'm only doing this for the love of 'lines and to help out some 34 owners... really I am

Darkhalf, Cheers for that, I can't wait to plug my 16 bit real time emulator (with working map trace) into one of these.... have been using it quite successfully using the current PLMS boards, as well as 8 bit single eprom ecu's. Just wanted the address file locations for the ER34 so I can start putting an engine config file together for our software. Hopefully you don't mind sharing? Sam.
-
darkhalf, Can you please send me what information you have on this? I would like to put a board I have in Ian's R34, and hopefully we can use some of Ian's expertise in finding out the rest of this address file? Sound good for you Ian? Sam

so so busy.... Sorry bass will have to wait.... Paul said you wanted to come round and witness the results? More than happy to oblige...

I'm booked till 22nd August... We can do it then if yo like Paul??
