  1. DoughBoy - I like your question.... ditto??
  2. ABuSD - Yeah it was a great day.... I think Funky got some nice pics?? Anyone else?
  3. RedLineGTR - Haven't tried to source it personnaly, but I beleive you buy it from BP at a 'cleaning' agent.... refer to other posts about it. SMB315 - Yes you can run more boost, but you'll still be limited if running the standard ceramic wheels. bigcarl- Yes I can and have tuned several link ecu's and I know why Ian won't tune them, for the same reason I won't recommend them. I only tune them if someone already has one. The older microtech's were fairly neanderthal but the new ones have full map matrix tuning on fuel and pretty good ignition mapping. Wolf looks very good on paper, only done a couple of these though with mixed thoughts. Personnaly my favourites are re-mapping the standard ECU's just wish i could do the RB25's economically. Also, for reference my old 180sx was running a pretty much standard setup with a remapped ECU, 1.1 bar of boost, and a 20% Toluene mix... Result = 13.5 @ 98 MPH
  4. Jamezilla - Come and have a look at the new shop and we'll have a chat about your 'long lost power' Doc.
  5. ok.. he want's more power, understandable that can be achieved with more or less boost depending on turbo sizing, but more power would generally indicate more exhaust flow... Can you please explain a situation where chasing more power would require a smaller gate? Surely a larger gate would prevent boost creep from not enough flow through gate?
  6. The re-mapped ECU has a higher boost (afm) cut than stock which allowed us to increase the boost a little. apart from that there were signifcant gains in mid range response, not to mention the removal of the 180 km/h speed limiter. All nissan ECU's are reprogrammable. I have found the adaptors for the RB25 and late model RB26 ones and just parts is over $900 per ECU All other nissan ECU's are easily remapped. Doc.
  7. WLD747 - If your interested in comparrison's pop down to BMT and I'll print you off around 10 different turbo packages for RB25's all with different characteristics. Doc.
  8. Genuine Reason for sale too: His wife tried to overtake someone and his boost.... lets just say she was lucky all that happened was she was facing the wrong way but seriously this car is in excellent condition and has more potential in it, it has a very conservative tune. Dyno sheets available on personal inspection at BMT. The TD06 is also brand new! For any info anyone can call me on 0411 878 961. ps: bump Doc.
  9. There's around 20 something plugs... could be the cause of the lost water, but not the cause of the tapping noise... Call me on 0411 878 961 and I'll try and work out what the problem is over the phone. Could be pistons or valvetrain. Sam.
  10. So if he's chasing more in the future and had to bear that in mind something like the turbosmart 45mm racegate or similar would be a good option?
  11. More than happy to do some discount toluene tuning as I'm keen on learning it's combustion properties???? Doc.
  12. unfortuantely a loud tapping noise in never good more than happy for you to bring it to bmt in fairfield, or I can suggest another good workshop who may be closer depending on where you are?? 0411 878 961 Doc.
