  6. To clarify it the head had been off the car, and was put back on re-using original stretched head bolts. On every single occasion I've seen head bolts re-used they have stretched more and blown head gaskets.
  7. My 25 only sees drag/drift/limiter... But I do concede it seems abnormal for a stock 25 to make 305 rwkw reliably with 25 psi copy L2 and other budget bolt ons! Hell, even push them past their max efficiency... they just sing!
  8. We need to plug into the ECU directly for R33, send me a picture with the lid off the ECU and I'll let you know.

  10. Ok, so took the taxi out to calder for the drags... car has been retune to the tune of 305 rwkw! Best ET was 12.0 @ 122 mph with a 2.6 60' and sever lack of traction! R32 4 Door Burnout R32 4DR 122 mph Fly By Best MPH was 124, best 60' was 1.6 but snapped driveshaft on gear change and rolled just short of 400m Did a good enough burnout to make the home page of fullboost

Additional wiring is needed for an RB20 TPS for improved driveability, idle control, return to idle, etc, and a cheap VCT such as Buddy Club VCT controller etc can be used for the cam timing control, but it can be done to provide a reasonably good result. The best option is a remap of the R33 ECU - Nistune software can be used with an emulator, but not the functionality of Nistune boards in terms of simply pluggling the cable in and away you go, data is still required to be put onto an eprom when done. Any other real time emulation for 256k eproms can be used once the RB25 ECU is modified. Unfortuantely, when the dollar was still strong the RB25 boards were expensive, even more so now... But still cheaper option than trying to spurce a R33 GTST Power FC which are usually priced according to their construction of unobtainium.

I'd suggest it would be flowing more (less ignition) combined with the retarded ignition from the old map to prevent detonation, I would be worried if it didn't feel less responsive, would suggest the cooler is in deed flowing a lot better! Can't wait to re-tune it for back to back comparrison.
  21. Another downfall is idle control as the RB20 needs additional inputs from a idle switch rather than just the RB25 potentiometer, but if it's not a daily driver it's hardly a problem...
  22. Swap the yoke only, same length. Well using the parts I did it was spot on!
  23. The ECU has a speed sensor for reasons other than speed cut, also links to hicas control, power steering, idle controls etc etc... Remap your ECU and get performance gains as well as removing or raising speed cut.
