  1. I have a spare RB20 ECU to use a changeover.... PM me if interested and we'll leave this poor fellows thread alone... Doc.
  2. gaffa - I can help you out with the whole lot for a good package price... come and see me some time. 0411 878 961 Doc.
  3. Meggala isn't running a RB25 box, but all the bolt patterns are the same, just different length boxes.... No idea about tailshaft in melbourne, that's just what it used to cost for my datto coonversions.......
  4. Hey guys Just thought I'd share my experience with e-manage. The only significant limitations I've found so far is that you cannot use the ignition control harness on automatics, and the speed limit as previously mentioned. We can supply and fit them with all the optional harnesses for $1200. As far as tuning goes they are a superb unit, and work well when doing AFM upgrades, eg Nissans using the 300ZX afm instead of a stock one. The basic air flow adjsut map works ok, much better than an SAFC, but the true benefits can be found after tuning the injector pulsewidths and you start to tune the timing. For the value for money I reckon they're one of the best interceptor style engine management systems around. Doc.
  5. The sensors can be swapped, you will need the front yoke from the RB25 tailshaft, and a custom shortened shaft made up, I suggest a single piece one, and you'll need to fabricate a custom gearbox mount. Tail shaft shouldn't cost more than $200. Doc.
  6. Whistla: NP - Spoke to dave today, didn't know you guys had hooked up with him.... I'll be there to say gidday as well, give you all a chance to look at our new place before we move in. Please call me to let me know what time... Doc.

  12. sorry not for sale .....
  13. Fact - Most bleed valves do have boost spikes and wastgate creep. I've seen up to a 5 psi spike from turbo smarts... Fact - Some bleed valves work better than others Fact - Some EBC's are better than others..... Doc.
  14. I'd like to correct you all, one of my previous cars was a 1991 Laser TX3 which ran a 13.0 flat, and the full time 4WD was excellent, even managed to hose a few slightly mod'd GTR's.... Just watch out if the TX3 has the 4WD badging otherwise you should beat them all....
  15. I had a bleed valve on a customers 180SX which was running 18 psi, the boost started to rise earlier, and from boost till redline there was 0.3 psi fluctuation. There are good and bad bleed valves, and how they installed also makes a difference. If you want to make the turbo spool up quicker a simple pressure gate to prevent boost creep can also be fitted, and is very helpfull on sensitive actuators that open easily. Doc.
  16. The 33 is driven every day to and from work and behaves superbly, with very smooth throttle response...... That is of course on low boost with and the silencer in... The 32... well that's another story....
  17. Yes dave likes monsters Wait for the 32... expecting 500+ rwkw !!!!!!!
  18. The HKS34 was setup by revzone, but tuned by me prior to dyno run, and yes it was peters R33 GTR that I also tuned for the dyno as well. An intersting note on HKS34 was it made 1080 NM of torque, nearly up there with dave's 33 at 1180 NM.... They're alll maddddddd cars Doc.
  19. That's right fella's.... Daves 33 did make the 396, and he also has the R32 Drag car with a lot more than the 33. The 32 is currently undergoing a RB20 transplant to finalise compliance and rego, and the RB26 will be rebuilt and tweaked some more... watch out Auto salon.... mwahahahaha.... Doc.
  20. Currently the workshop is at 34 Lambert St in Richmond, it's just temporary till our big workshop is fully operational in 2-3 weeks.... Dyno pit getting dug next week.... mmmmmmm dyno......
  21. Hey guys, had some fune tuning cars this week .... HKS34 Made 300 kw at all four in the dyno shootout and took home 2 trophy's, and the silver 33 made 288 at all four and took home a trophy..... Nice looking cars and thanks to their owners for letting me tweak them Doc.
  22. Guys..... T25 and T28 are the same flanges and appear on CA's SR's and RB26's, RB20's and 25's run a T3 flange..... As for the cooler we just ran 396 rwkw through a stock 33 GTR cooler and lost around 15 kw on subsequent runs from heat soak. We could touch the cooler and it was still cold with inlet temps of 65 degrees?? As it turned out there was a lot of heat soak in the inlet manifold of the RB26.... Just some food for thought....
