Flared Rear Guards for R32
Dr_Drift replied to Dr_Drift's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Got a couple of mad drifts last night (private road of course) with my 255's on the back, I reckon my castor being wound up to 5 degrees helps immensely. Once the grip is lost it is actually quite easy to keep it sliding, sort of like aquaplaning if you get my dorift? -
Flared Rear Guards for R32
Dr_Drift replied to Dr_Drift's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I reckon I can squeeze 275's on there by lipping the guard. I thought 295's would be an easy target, but 335's would look pretty fat? -
Does anyone know where I may be able to source some flared rear guards for R32 GTSt.... I was a little dissapointed yesterday to find out I could only just squeeze my 255's under there. My goal is 295's Any suggestions and pics of aftermarket flares would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, I'm sure you've seen the pics of my car already if not 've attached one more. Why not try a GTR front end second hand? The benefit is they are much more flexible as they are made from plastic not fibreglass. Should be able to source a second hand one from JMS in Adelaide. I like it as it's not to aggressive, but still looks far better than GTS one. Just a thought?

The paddle/finger/button clutch is made of a different material, and the smaller area means more pressure on the paddles. From what I've been told do not ride the clutch at all, you should get used to taking off gently without riding it. It will never be as gentle as a sprung organic (Standard) clutch though. Near the centre it's either a solid centre, or has a set of springs. The solid centre has NO give at all whereas sprung button clutch is slightly less harsh. After having a sprung button in my car I will never go back, the sheer grip that it has is unreal, however the loss of smooth gear changes may not suit everyone.

Can you provide proof they are only four months old? I'd rather go for a drive than pay freight. Please detail the whole lot with part numbers if possible, and your best price...... -

Where are you located? I am interested, and am in Melbourne. -
Ryan: Man that 180 i had was awesome, I'd spent quite a bit of time refining the suspension and allignments, combined with good tyres, that car handled superbly. Which reminds me, I've still got 205 mud and snow tyres from japan on my R32.... Could explain a lot. I'll make a new post after all the suspension work and new tyres are fitted, giving my thoughts on the comparison between the S13 and R32 chassis and handling dynamics.

Thanks for that Shell, do you have a list of all Red Devil Members? Kabab, cheers mate I'll be trying that on wednesday when I get my car back from pedders. Getting all bushes and adustable camber fitted to rear of my car, and adjustable castor to the front. Also fitting solid mount urethane diff cradle bushes at the sam time.... Can't wait to feel the difference, the car feels so unresponsive in handling compared to my old 180sx.

Kabab, True this does disable the HICAs Computer, but then don't the wheels turn under load or anyother side effect? XrSiSt, how do I get my Red Devils Member logo thingy at the bottom of my posts, Red Rocks!!!

My new toy, R32 GTSt, is having some teething problems. My HICAS light comes on, and my ABS Light comes on, both intermittently. Does anyone know how to manually enter diagnostic mode? Does any one know where I can aquire a technical service manual? (Prefer free?) Does anyone know how I can get rid of HICAS? I don;t like it. Any help, or links to downloadable documentation, or advice would be GREATLY appreciated, both by me and my toy!!!

Not sure how to wire up my alarm so the turbo timer still works? Is there anyone out there who can recommend an installation method for my R32?
-
Best bet is to call him on 0421058259... This intercooler is absolutely superb construction, and as new. It would have almost no pressure drop and be extremely efficient. I would've bought it if I didn't have a big Trust FMIC already. He's got heaps of people interested, but I think first to get to him with cash in hand would buy it!

GTSt - My friends selling his under a grand, it's an APEXi GT Cooler, about the same size, maybe slightly larger. Call David on 0421 058 259, get got a fair bit of polished stainless piping that goeas with it, most of it would be suitable for your application.

It's a big ass apexi GT core bar and plate front mount, not the crossover one either, as new condition... Should contact him anyways, I reckon it'd be perfect for RB20 or RB25, huge flow capacity.
-
A mates got a second hand I/C that's perfect for R32. E-Mail him on R32PWR@hotmail.com and say Sam said he'd look after you.

Low RPM Stalling - Possible Solution Number 2
Dr_Drift replied to Dr_Drift's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The TPS is your throttle position sensor, if you look under your bonnet and find your accelerator cable. This cable should turn the shaft in your throttle body, at the other end of this shaft is the TPS. Sorry no pics but hope this helps?
