  1. Nice clean car... will not disappoint new owner
  2. Actually I'm in melbourne R33 EPROM Conversion Boards are now available, and will work with Nistune through external emulator (unlike usb port in factory ecu like other nistune options) or using NRE and multirom.
  3. How long between cleaning the Injectors and Installing them? Resistor - If Installing the std injectors simply unplug the resistor and join all wires together - IE all wires have 12V
  4. Details sketchy at best.... Has a Stillway plaque on the Plenum. Standard Inlet Plenum, looks like a full HKS TO4R (Not ZR lol) turbo kit, so HKS high mount S/S exh man. I would suggest extensive head work has been done. By the looks of it the Inlet Cam is around 7 deg Advanced, can't see the exhaust cam timing... Correct, was just relaying information, but I've seen the tag with my own eyes now and it's 100% HKS TO4R! Typical Jap handi work - Looks like a dogs breakfast!!
  5. Apparently it's run a 10.6 @ 137 MPH in Aus already...
  6. Well it was definitely missing... lol... Tried running 25 psi and it was making a lot more as it came onto boost, but the mis was too bad to continue...
  7. Maybe ignition breaking down More to come... ...hooking up some NOS in a few weeks with some more spark and a bit more tuning
  8. Posting for a friend RB20 - Maybe RB24 (Not Confirmed) CAMS - 272/272 (Not Confirmed) TURBO - HKS TO4ZR ECU - Remapped Factory ECU (Not by me unfortunately) POWER - 367rwkw We had to limit the boost to 23 psi as the std ignition system was breaking down and loosing spark. The 367rwkw was run with slight misfire, confident of more with better spark... Anyway, pictures tell a thousand words...

  10. What's included with your 'nistune' gear, and $$?
  11. YES IT IS! I have remapped several RB25s using both our own software, NRE, and Nistune. Sam. PS: I'm referring to remapping RB25 std ECUs, not RB20 ECUs to run 25s.

    R32 Remap

Daughter boards are now available to convert RB25 ECUs to run 27C256 Eprom for Map Data At LAST!!!

    R32 Remap

Can do R33s... just $$$ that's all... no problems with self learning etc etc...

    R32 Remap

Please Note: Mercury do not provide "Dr Drift" remaps, they simply have the software I use. ALSO: My Contract has now expired with Mercury, and I am again able, and willing, to travel to Sunny QLD for tuning visits. If anyone is interested please send me an e-mail through drdrift.com.au (opt in for the mailing list to stay informed too)
  15. Adelaide - I'd suggest Jeff from The Speed Lab (TSL)
  16. Where are you located? You may find a real time tune, not only suited to aussie fuel, but your car specifically, may yield some awesome results, and be cheaper than you may think.
  17. Spewing... I have some nice 'street tyres' here you could have borrowed... 235 semi comps
  18. A full diagnostic dyno will help identify the problem....
  19. Forgot about that one... was a favour for a friend Was a mint car with well under 50,000km!
  20. I'm aware of the Off @ Idle status of the factory ECU, I can only think that this may have been to prolong the life of the VCT solenoid by not having it switch on as much... I have not found any difference in drivability or idle. We don't connect the VCT input of the BC (don't have a manual in front of me), simply use the output, through a changeover relay, to the VCT on the 33 loom... I can't remember as we now map the 33 ecu and haven't done this for a while... If you hook the buddy club up to power, earth, and rpm, you can check the output (I think it provides a switched 12V output?) and use that through a changover relay to the required output (earth?) is on with ignition, and off at set rpm?? I can verify when I'm back in Melbourne next week and check my diagrams, just in Virgin Lounge at Melbourne airport on my way to Darwin to tune some cars.... mmm Hot Sweaty weather yay (not!) Hope this helps... Sam
  21. Buddy Club VCT Controller + Change Over Relay = VCT FTW!
  22. bump... Update?
  23. Where are you located? My recommendation... BCD are bad, they clamp the AFM voltage which makes your car run dangerously lean, and also leaves the ignition too advance for your desired boost... REMAP FTW IMO, Next option would be a PFC, or then complete aftermarket.
