  1. Sounds like it was a good cruise. I hope to make the ItsNotStock cruise just as good. See the Events board for more info.
  2. I'm looking at doing a manual conversion for my R32 and a friend of mine is also going to do his R33. We both have mechanic friends who will give us a hand at doing the conversion. However, who is the best place to buy the conversion kit from? I'm currently getting prices from Japanese Motorsport in Adelaide. Does anyone recommend someone in Perth who are well priced and not dodgy?
  3. Cool, wish i'd known that earlier I just bought a HKS Type 1 turbo timer from PerfectRun. I'm starting to wonder if it would of worked out cheaper buying it locally. Freight was the big killer at $40!! and it's been 3 weeks since i first ordered it.
  4. Nice work Rev. How much did that set you back? If you don't mind me asking, who or whats Nengun
  5. You guys think you've got it bad for fuel pricing, at the moment and past I have been paying $1.08/L for 98 RON and thats apparently cheap here. I think i'll be driving the g/f's Excel around for soon. I drive R32 with cat-back exhaust. Lately i was getting ~ 20L/100km. Found out, when the guy did the timing belt, the exhaust cam was 1 tooth out. Now there is no idling problem, alot more pickup and boost. I'll let you know how the fuel eccon goes.
  6. Red Sky II, Cheers. I did mension they had the R33's. Just not the R32's
  7. My fuel pump has gone in my car or is very near death. I only have major problems when starting it. I'm getting it fixed under warranty, however they're going to replace it with a Brand new Pintarra fuel pump. Does anyone know if this will flow the same as the oringal or am i going to be worse off? The dealer got quite agressive when tried to talk to him about it. I'm going to let him cool down and ask if i can pay the difference for a better one. I heard the Bosch VL fuel pumps plug straight in. Is this true? Any advice would be appreciated.
  8. Jay95R33, Yes i noticed it was old after i read it properly I'm going to the call the guys tomorrow and find out if they can do a better deal and if the mat is any better. I'll put some pics up of my dash. Then you'll know why i'm getting a dash mat.
  9. Erh, I didn't know he organised it last year. He went with the Shevron mats. They aren't as good as the protomat's. Actually those mats look like crap!! The guy i work with use to work for Protectomat. I will talk to him tomorrow and say that someone got the same deal we did and i'll go negociate some better prices.
  10. Jay95R33 Cheers for the post. I know meercat personally and I'm going to give him a call. I didn't know he was organising this too. I thought I was getting a good deal, But I will make phone calls tomorrow. Sorry about this guys. I'll investigate.
  11. Sorry guys. I can't get the exact picture of one, because it will be custom molded on my car (R32). Here is a link to their website though: http://www.protectomat.com.au I'll be getting one for my car, because my dash has already bubbled in places and the centre air vent is half broken and has popped out (NOT HAPPY). I'm told this is a common problem(?) I had one of these dash mats in the good ol' Camry (Its not a grandpa car with out a dash mat). It never slipped around and was stuck by had valcrow(spelling?). This let me take the mat in and out. Although I never did. If you've got the money and you want a real pro job, they can do a custom-pro fit. That will cost $120.00 and they'll need your car over night. You won't buy anything better then that. You can buy different colours, Grey/Blue/Black etc. You Perth guys can even go see their showroom. Just see the website for more details. Don't talk to anyone about our group buy, because it's a bit of a hush hush secret. As i mensioned earlier, they will be around $48.00 each, and maybe cheaper. Depending on how many orders I can get. For now i just ask for expression of interest and deffinate orders. Once I have enough orders, i'll let everyone know of the exact cost.
  12. Hi Guys, I have contacts with the Protectomat company. They have a very good reputation at making the best dash mats available. They do not have a mold for the R32, But I am prepared to leave my car with them for them to make a mold. If we can get a group of us together interested in R32/R33 dashmats, then we can get the mats cheaper. ~$48.00 instead of $70.00 I have had a problem with my dash, it's started to bubble in the sun and this is very common in the R32s. I would suggest to get a dashmat. These ones are very good quality and can even make the dash look better. They are moulded perfectly and always fit. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
  13. I called them today, i think it's either under 20 or 21 they don't insure.
  14. I live on 5 acres of land with virtually no theft. Didn't help me in this situ! However, i now have 3rd party insurance for $305. It's all i could get. Ahh well!
  15. I have decided that if you are under 21, own an import and turbo car, live in Western Aus, you have absolutely no chance of finding insurance. If you do, it is over $3300!!!!!!!!
  16. I've tried, RAC, SGIO, HBF, WQBE plus i have an insurance dood looking around for me. The best he could find was $3300 All I ask, where else do i try?
  17. I'm interested in the rims, but not for $450. blx was selling R33 GTS-t for $350. Any budging on the price? I don't mind if they don't have any rubber on them.
  18. Hrmm. Well i'm 20 and finding it very difficult to find insurance. You guys have a bit better chance then what I do. I've been with RAC for 3 years with however many % NCB that is and only. Soon as I mension Import or Skyline, i'm rejected. However, I have an insurance guy running around looking at insurance for me. The best he came up with, was $3300 and recommended I go for it, even if I have to take a loan. I though, nah F**K that! I think he just wants whatever commission he gets! I know you guys have talked about this previously in your other posts, but I think i've been through nearly every insurer. Anyone got any last suggestions, even for 3RD PARTY!!
  19. What do you think about Personalised number plates? Do they attract more attention to your car? Are they really worth putting on?
  20. I'm looking at buying a HKS Type 1 from them aswell. Did you install the TT yourself AlexR31? Whats your opinion on the HKS ? To me perfectrun.com.au seem very cheap on their parts.I've found their parts to be very reasonable on price.
  21. Greetz to Eon and Neil Look forward to joining you guys on the next meet. Ive met you both before, (Neil was going to do my stereo) but I doubt you'll remember me. I'm now in the process of getting my new Line. You've prolly seen it Accents. After a few months of negociation, I got Gordon down to a reasonable price. http://members.ozzienet.net/~ozmac/new%20car3.JPG Hope to meet up for a chat sometime.
  22. I'm in the market to buy a new turbo timer. I've been shopping around and I found the HKS Type 1. Has anyone here had any experience with them? I want it because of the extra features, http://perfectrun.com.au/real_size_image/e...sturbotimer.htm Does anyone know how hard it is to install? Or recommend another type of timer? Cheers
  23. I dunno what my rims would look like on yours, but heres what they look like on mine. http://members.ozzienet.net/~ozmac/new%20car3.JPG' target='_blank'> It's a Versus Sesto Turismo. Conspired by Rays
