hi yeah its in good nick. but again, i havent used it, so its only a promise im passing on. i was promised its in good nic. only thing i spose i would agree to is promise the the syncros are fine and that there is no whines etc. but the moment its fitted to a car someone can go do a big launch and kill a gear. lol cant promise anythign else really But yes still forsale Make an Offer someone and take it, i need the cash for some other mods thanks mick

yeah its cool mate there are nice ones for sure as well. just saying there are many than need a fair bit of fixing up, and they are high maintanance. hope you get a beast mate. mick

mate who purchased the car for you? did they do an inspection? i have a mate that shipped about 25 R32GTRs over about 18months back under 15year old rule and i think about 10 of them either blew turbos or enignes within 1 month or so. You get what you pay for. I imported one for over $30k, but its got the fruit. but like the others say, importing a gtr from japan 'CHEAP' just about never happens

Ok well, i pulled the dump off and inspected the exch side of the turbo. seemd all ok, all blades in tact looking good. no shaft play. so thats looking ok. went to remove front pipe, and i have rounded off a bolt. fark... lol

i purchased the gearbox from another member of this forum. i was asking the same questions. All i got was a promise that all the syncros are in good nic and the box is in gerneral good condition. They wasnt really wanting to sell it to me as it was a good condition spare they wanted to keep. so i cant say anything more than that, as i purchased it, and never had to fit it. mick

have you done a comp test or even a leak down test? mick

i dead set would get an rb26dett and rebuild it. with that money your going to be so many steps ahead doing that.

and hi Jsikalias. i am not 100% sure, but i am sure r32gtr gearboxes do fit rb25, but have to remove the transfer (which this one has without anyway) i dont know if you need to do anything else - best find out yourself - im really not sure sorry. michael

hi mate yeah its worth considering for sure, but its hard to arrange shipping from my end. its always much easier for the buyer to arrange. so if you wanna get a quote, we can discuss the price a bit etc. michael

yeah man PWNED. cost a fair bit of cash too. spewing, car runs so smooth, has so much potential, just want more boost!!! i just dont want to rip turbo off and get it rebuilt for the fun of it lol.

Just a quickie. i know all the way i have convinced myself this cant be the turbo. could it be? Any experts want to share an opinion? i mean its not the turbos fault the wastegate cracks open and lets off the excess over 0.9.... if it was the turbo, then it would struggle to make teh boost, but the wastegate would stay closed yeah???? thanks michael

really? thats just what i was after, someone thats had same exact symptoms? same thing, would just keep cracking open at a lower boost level? and you never heard any leaks etc? where exactly was the hole in the bottom of the plenum? I am going to tripple check everything tonight - gunna pull off every intercooler pipe and refit. mick

well for the ones liking pics. here is new wastegate fitted also with 1.3-1.7 spring. Having same issues. Cracks open at approx 0.9bar and screams away. so bought a spanker wastegate - what else could be issue? some sort of backpressure problem? defo droping the exhaust tomorow night. (remember its a big freeflowing effort no cat) (andwastegate is venting to atmo) thanks Michael

damn i cant beleive you posted that mate - your a legend. except i hadnt checked back in this thread since i last posted. and i have since bought a Brand Spanking new HKS 60mm GT wastegate. And dam, still have the same problem! arrrgg. i wish i saw your offer. lol

yeah attitude counts big time i got pulled over in my r32gtr on the M1 with heavy mods, carbon bonnet and roll cage etc. tires looked a little second had, water washers wastn hooked up etc. talked like a normal good bloke, he was alrright and ended up letting me go. could of gave me loads of stuff all about how you talk to them etc etc. mick

do rb25 and gtr gearbox mate up to rb20? i do have a gtr gearbox i'm selling if you want. But yeah Defo - Contact Mercury. Trent Cam and the boys are tops. mick

yeah my rear seats are in my gtr still, but its engineered for only a 2 seater thanks to having a cage. mick
