  1. Thanks Ross I'll see what I can put together for prizes for a few of the categories...
  2. Possibly...
  3. Good price for a nice sleeper... GL with the sale
  4. AMEN Sin!
  5. $1800 for a pair of 2860-7 Garretts is a bargain! Now I just need to figure out how to hold up a bank and get away with it.
  6. How much are you looking for?... Got photos?
  7. Depends on the width and offset of your wheels and the height of your suspension... I have seen R33 GTST's with 275/35R18's that fit snug under guards and they are within 3 - 4mm in overall diametre and similar width to 275/40R17's.
  8. All I can say is... Whoa!
  9. Does anyone get on to Modern Warfare 2 online much (PS3)? If so, whats your user name? Mine: Tr1gg3rR32
  10. I think that you mean either 225/45R17 or 235/40R17 as there arent any Federal Tyres available in 225/40R17. Where did you get those prices from? If you join SAU NSW as a paid member you can get huge savings on Federal Tyres as they support the NSW club.
  11. You might assume from looking at the tread pattern of each of these tyres (KU36 and 595RS-R) that the Kumho would be the better wet tyre, but from my experience using the 595RS-R as a daily driven street tyre - they are surprisingly good in wet conditions and I have used many different tyres over the years on my R32. I cant compare though cos I havent used the KU36's
  12. Hero is Federal's lower tier brand (think Bridgestone and Firestone), they are made by Federal and are very similar in construction and design but generally retail for a lower price. The tyres that Zane has on his R32 are the HZ1 performance tyres.
  13. I'm afraid that this statement is correct... NTW used to sell direct to the public, but as we are a wholesaler and have a network of retail dealers who not only sell tyres but fit and balance them as well, we have changed our policy on cash sales so that we can better support our dealers. I will happily recommend tyres for you and supply the details of your local dealer, but I cant sell directly to the public for cash. The best way for any SAU member to get Federal tyres for a good price is to become a paid member and send a PM to DrDoof as Federal support the NSW club by supplying tyres at a discounted rate for paid members. My apologies to all... P.S. - PM me if you have any questions please.
  14. I think you will find that the Federal 595RS-R has very stiff sidewall rather than a "soft" one due to the steel reinforcement in the wall... Something which I dont think that the Kumho KU36 has.
  15. Ebay may be a great website for buying cheap DVD's, furniture or other random items but I would be very careful when buying items like ECU's - there is no way you can tell if you are actually getting what youre paying for... Its a big risk when you consider that if it isnt what you paid for and you plug it into your engine it could cause catastrophic damage. I would suggest buying a brand new plug and play ECU like a Power FC (if you can find one) if you want a new computer... Just my two cents.
  16. Sorted I'll call you...
  17. Spotted Zane, Reece, Melly and someone driving Reece's Clio on the Federal Hwy heading back toward Canberra at 7:30 last night... You guys must have just been to Marulan I'm guessing? Oh and you wouldnt have seen me (I was driving a 2006 Subaru Outback). P.S. I like the big number 32 on the side of the Skyline Reece
  18. I have to say that I have never liked X-Trails... But this is one I could live with Nice work, thinking outside the square and doing something that not many other people would even think of... Make sure you keep updating (I wanna see this when it's all finished). Cheers
  19. Why would you say that?... You asked for advice, all he did was make a suggestion and you tell him that he doesn't know what he is talking about? This isn't nissansilvia.com, try and treat people with a little more respect?... The bottom line here is that there is little to no performance benefit in stretching narrow tyres on to wide rims... If you want traction, go for the manufacturers recommendation for the width of wheel that you have (as they do a lot more testing on their own tyres than anyone else does)... For example: 19 x 8.5" = 235/35R19 or 245/35R19 and 19 x 9.5" = 255/30R19 or 265/30R19 - these sizes would be just about perfect (depending on the brand of tyre). If you want the stretched look then just down size from the sizes listed as manufacturers recommendation by 1 or 2 widths. But be careful running over stretched tyres though, it puts a lot more stress on the sidewalls and can easily damage the tyre, cause the bead to be pulled off the rim, a blow out or delamination. Also, it's a good idea to check with your insurance provider about what their policies are before fitting tyres, because if your tyres don't match their policies then you won't be covered if you have an accident. BTW - Yes, I do work for a national tyre distributor and have done for quite a few years and I do know what I am talking about. I hope this helps.
  20. To quote Miranda in that video - "hehe that's cool". It looks hardcore when it's rolling (must be the sick black on yellow paint job) P.S. It sounds like its going to need a large muffler before it goes out to the hillclimb or they'll kick you off for being too loud
  21. After speaking with a professional about this, I'm afraid I have to withdraw my offer... There are too many variables with your problem Speak to Angelo at Trojan Motorsport about getting a working second hand CAS (they have a lot of spares on the shelf) = 6242 6277 Tell them that Mick from Federal sent you
  22. Ok, ok I know I'm digging up a really old thread here, but seriously... I need to rant! Why is it that almost every time I drive my Skyline I get hassled by idiots in Falcodores or Commonwhores!!?? Yesterday morning, I was driving to work on the Monaro Hwy, in the left hand lane minding my own business when a white VR ute with 20" chromies and white walls and a Blue VE SS came past me (sitting almost inside the tailpipe of the Corolla in front)... When the guy in the ute saw my car he slowed down and let the Corolla in front of him get about 100m away and then proceeded to pump the throttle over and over (so that the ute lurched forward). I think he as trying to incite a race or something (although I have no idea why cos we were in peak hour morning traffic). I ignored this and kept pace with the traffic in the left hand lane, so eventually (after getting bored) they both took off. After about 2 minutes, I turned off the Hwy on to Hindmarsh Drive to head into Fyshwick... So of course sitting in front of me at the lights were the white ute and the blue SS (revving their V8's at each other) and when the lights turned green the two of them chopped and weaved between the cars until they had a clear road in front of them to speed away (at what I can only guess was well over 100kmh in an 80 zone). This sort of thing happens to me at least every second day... Is it just because I drive a Skyline or does every Falcodore driver have something to prove?? -End rant-
