  1. Is there no-one kind enough to lend a fellow Skyliner a hand when they're in a tight spot?? I'm happy to lend you mine, but it comes with a catch... If it breaks while it's on your engine, you buy me a new one. OK?
  2. You forgot to mention the mountain of torque that it makes James... Thats why the clutch was slipping. My guess for the final figure (when all the bugs are ironed out) is: 253rwkw @ 14.4psi (1 Bar). 700nm torque P.S. It sounds like a chainsaw on steroids!
  3. How are those Hero's working out for you Zane?
  4. Sounds like it could be a faulty CAS (Crank Angle Sensor)... I had the same problem with my RB25 To check if it is the CAS get someone with an identical RB motor to lend you their sensor, plug it in and if it fixes the miss-fire or rough revs then order one from Just Jap or another Japanese wrecker (dont get one from Nissan unless you want to pay through the @ss for it). Start by checking the CAS, then if thats not it, move on to coil packs or ignitor. (By the way - the CAS is the big round metal thing held in by 3 bolts on the front of the motor.) Let us know how you go.
  5. The inner liner of normal street tyres can be affected by chemicals if they are caustic or corrosive , such as degreaser or turpentine etc. Just use a cleaner that doesn't contain anything too acidic and it shouldn't harm the inner liner at all. P.S. - Don't use a brush or anything that could tear the liner (its only very thin), just use a soft sponge or rag.
  6. Washing your tyres wont damage them in any way, especially if they are just street tyres... You can even use regular every day washing chemicals (as long as they arent caustic). Just use tap water and Morning Fresh and they'll be fine.
  7. Sorry I didnt wave - I only noticed it was you as you drove past.
  8. BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAH!!! Nice... But seriously, I hope it doesnt sell so you have to keep and turn it into a full track car Luke (P.S. Has anyone noticed that when you type in p-i-g without the dashes, it turns automaticly into the word 'cop'?)
  9. I can confirm that this car is SUPER reliable and very fast around a track... I have driven this car multiple times and found that it has unbelievable amounts of grip and control. Sensible mods done, strong motor and drive train, a well cared for car... This car has done low 1.09 laps of Wakefield Park with only 209rwkw. Its a shame to see it go Luke **BTW Free Bump**
  10. The 235/40R17 Federal 595RS and/or 595RS-R is recommended by the manufacturer to be fitted to wheels 8.0" - 9.5" wide, so there shouldnt be any problems fitting these tyres to your wheels. However, they may look a little stretched and will have almost no sidewall flex - ideal fitment for a 17x9.5 would be 245 or 255's. 595RS and 595RS-R's ARE considered semi-slick tyres, not only by the manufacturer but by CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsports). The term "semi-slick" simply means that the tread pattern has a lower void ratio than that of a "normal road tyre". You are probably suggesting that these tyres arent "R-compound" cut slick tyres - and you would be correct... The 595RS-R is not a race compound tyre, however it has a softer compound than normal road tyres and a reinforced casing that is specifically designed to resist folding under extreme cornering loads - making it perfectly suitable for track use. I hope this clears up any confusion
  11. Merry Christmas to all
  12. +1 - Call Angelo at Trojan - 6242 6277 (tell him that Mick from Federal sent you).
  13. No drama's... Yeah some guy stole my camera, took heaps of awesome piccies and then returned it at the end of the day!!!... Wierd
  14. Great show guys, a big thankyou to the organisers and everyone who attended from Federal Tyres NSW (I was the guy in the Federal stall handing out free stuff) Anyway, here's a link to some of my photos - Cliiiick
  15. What a great way to spend a Sunday! Awesome cars, awesome turn out from NSW members... Pretty poor showing from SAU ACT group though (yes that means you if you didnt come) Anywho, some pictures from the day:
  16. Either 595's or the 595EVO's (which are now available) in 235/45R17 would be perfect... I would suggest going for the 595EVO if you want slightly better grip than the 595's (the EVO's will be more comparable in performance to the Toyo T1R's), however - if you dont want to spend the extra cash the 595's will be great for your use and you should expect around 30 - 35,000kms if you drive hard... Keep checking your rotations and pressures regularly for maximum tyre life
  17. Ok, to recommend the best tyre for you I need to know: 1. What size? 2. Is your car a daily driver? 3. What is your car's approx power at the wheels? 4. How many track days, hillclimbs, motorkhanas do you compete it (or plan to)? 5. How many kms would you travel in a year? If you can answer these questions I can help out with the tyres
  18. Excellent day, had a blast... The Marulan track keeps you really busy behind the wheel! Nice photos Eiji... I hope you took some of my car in action as well.
  19. I'll be there Luke... Hopefully sometime before 6:40
  20. Aaaaaw - Youre just saying that to make me blush
  21. I'll give you my endless love and respect in exchange for the wheels Luke...
  22. That was me - BTW it's Silver not Gun Metal (its a bit dirty at the moment though). It was very slippery on the hwy this morning, its the left over crap from dirty rain on the surface of the road after the water dries up. P.S. I love the wheels on your car!
  23. I dont believe you Richard!!! You posed as a girl guide, knocked on the door of an old grandma, hit her over the head with your cookie box and stole that TV didnt you!! :jokes:
  24. I only got a few photos of the wide body white 180sx... It was pretty awesome.
  25. Dont take this the wrong way Eiji but the name "Team Red Stage" sounds like slang for "That time of the month"... For example: - "I had to get out of the house and go driving because the missus has joined Team Red Stage this week".
