  1. Sub 2 minutes?? - Come to Wakefield with us one day and you'll find out first hand how quick a real driver is Steve
  2. Im positive that he'll still be quicker than you Steve
  3. Its all "in the forgeing process" James...
  4. Frink (Luke) is spot on... Not every car will perform the same on all fuels, my advice - shop around and try a tank of each and pay careful attention to how your car feels. My car has quite a few power mods and programmable managment and I have had good, bad and very bad experience with different fuels in the past. When I had my engine tuned using BP Ultimate about a year ago, it was very nice and smooth and power delivery was almost instant, but after about 6 months (or less) using only Ultimate I noticed that the engine wasnt as smooth and after a while it was starting to ping! The reason is that apparently (so I have been told) BP changed the chemical composition of the fuel which screwed with my tune. So I started trying different fuels = Shell Vpower (not good at all), Caltex Vortex 98 (still no good) I settled on Mobil Synergy and within a week the problems almost disapeared (but I still needed another tune by then). I use Mobil Synergy now and find it the best for response and power.
  5. I would vote for Bluprint (Mark) to take part but I know that if he was forced to drive his car "in anger" his head would probably explode due to stress overload.
  6. Stevo - Simple effective power mods: Step one: Front mount intercooler kit (decent size) about $600 - $1,000 depending on brand. Step two: GCG Garret turbo kit (you can get bolt on RB25DET kits that are pretty straight forward to fit) $1900 - $2200 depending on size. Step three: Splitfire coils + cooler spark plugs (if you put a bigger turbo on and turn the boost up you can easily blow out the spark from standard coils, helps to limit pinging aswell) - $750 - $1,000. Step four: 550cc injectors (more boost needs more fuel) - $750 - $1,000 depending on brand. Step five: Power FC - Best bang for your buck computer you can buy (to control it all) - $800 - $1,000. Have your exhaust looked at, dont just assume that it will flow enough for a bigger turbo and modified engine, the one that I got with my car was almost completely blocked and had to be replaced. Most mods will cost you a few hours labour to fit if you dont want to do it yourself - Call the boys at Trojan and talk to them about that. With those mods you should see about 240rwkw (depending on the tune and what size turbo you go for). You dont need an aftermarket Fuel pressure reg, or a Z32 air flow meter unless youre going for big power, otherwise the stock equipment is good for about 240 - 260rwkw... Happy modding P.S. I have done all of these mods to my own car, had 4 dyno tunes and almost every problem you could imagine, so feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
  7. Hehehehehehe, great mental picture :laughing-smiley-014:
  8. Great stuff Michele, looks like an awesome experience... Are you going to race it competitively or just at club level? By the way if your neck is stiff you should go to revolution race gear and get yourself a helmet brace - they sit on your shoulders and hold the helmet as still as possible, it will help a lot with your neck pain. P.S. When I get my CAMS license can I have a drive?
  9. Dont do it Michele, you'll have a very hard time finding a neater GTR than the one you already have...
  10. Welcome - That sounds like one SERIOUS R33, must make a sh!tload of power... You will definitely have issues with ACT rego, most of your modifications wont even be accepted with an engineers certificate, such as: "Turbo smart 45mm waste gate with dump to atmosphere." - You will have to plumb this back into the exhaust as ANY atmospheric exhaust that doesnt pass through a catalytic converter is illegal. APEXi power FC with H/C - For this to pass you will have to go Sydney and have an emissions test done, this means you will probably need to replace the exhaust with something A LOT more restrictive as the emissions standards are very very tight, not many cars pass this first time. Everything esle will have to be engineered, I hope you have deep pockets because it will cost at least $1000 - $1500 to engineer all of those mods. Call Canberra Motor Works in Mitchell and speak to Ray Spence - He is the only engineer that I recommend. Good luck.
  11. Thats it... Youre all CUT OFF!!!
  12. Im wanting a trophy... My display case has an empty spot that needs to be filled!
  13. Welcome... Nice, good to see another R32... It must be a bitch to keep clean being black. Any power figures, dyno runs to show?
  14. Whoa, looks mint... Gangster style, I like
  15. I knew that Im popular but I didnt know that you talked about how wonderful I am when Im not there...
  16. Well, my tune was done yesterday and I am very happy... Even though I didnt get much more power from it as we have reached the limits of the turbo and AFM, the boost response, mid range torque, fuel consumption and overall driveability have improved. This tune was more about getting the engine to run spot on so that I wouldnt have any drama's with pinging while on the track. 9 / 10 for John and Angelo at Trojan - Power FC RB25DET Dyno tune, great tune, right price and anything small and incidental that needed doing (such as rubber grommets / hoses) was done at no extra charge... Very happy. Pic attached: - Check out that awesome power curve!!
  17. I thought that it would be good, it sounded like a good format in their proposal...
  18. Its Beige James, not Bone, face it...
  19. Scary? - Youre soft James...
  20. Youre welcome mate. The JJR kits arent that hard to fit really. Let me speak to the boys and I'll get back to you...
  21. Im up for a BBQ, as long as the snags arent burnt to a crisp... And there's onions!
  22. DID YOU JUST AGREE WITH ME MICHELE??? Who are you and what did you do with the real Michele
  23. I'll tell you what Stevo, you buy the cooler kit and I will fit it (with some mates help) for a case of beer (good beer - none of that VB crap) Does that sound like a fair deal?
  24. Prepsol is probably the best product that I have used to remove tape / residue, you can get it from Repco - they call it Wax & Grease remover Soak it in Prepsol and it should peel off no problems.
