  1. For a run about daily driver, I reckon that you cant go past an R31 Aus delivered Skyline, ultra reliable, not bad on fuel, comfy and roomy... And best of all - still a Skyline! I have a mate who is selling one for $2500 - $3000 if youre interested?
  2. Spotted - Me driving Nathan Weissel's Drift Australia RB26DET powered R32 GTST from Fyshwick to Mitchell... Damn thats an angry Skyline! I now know whats its like to drive a purpose built drift car on the street = Handful! I had a smile from ear to ear the whole time.
  3. I agree, if youre going to do it, do it right... Not all oil cooler cores have the same flow / cooling abilities, go for something brand name for sure.
  4. Stevo - K&N pods are some of the best you can buy, but you will need to make up a bracket to fix it to the car, for rego.
  5. Hey Stevo welcome back, Good to see you back in the Skyline game (even if it is only an R33). JJR coolers are fine if youre not looking to make huge HP, I use one on mine and it flows great... With any front mount youre going to have to do some modifying. For a good all round bolt on kit though, you cant go past the Blitz kits, they're really high quality and bolt on, but they're not cheap. If you need a hand with anything on your new ride, you know that Luke and I are happy to help mate. Cheers Mick
  6. You guys are hilarious... We'll see what happens on the track... Michele - Careful what you say, remember who posted a faster time than you at Texikhana?? Youre playing a mans game and I wouldnt want you to get hurt
  7. John at Trojan has tuned some serious Skylines in the past, I have personaly seen the work that they have done in action (on the dyno) and I was very impressed... I have discussed at length what I want from the car with John and he sounds very confident. John does hire a dyno to do his tuning and he has tuned multiple Skylines (that I know of) so Im pretty happy to give him a go. I'll be sure to keep everyone informed as to the result. When I said that the second tune that Ed did on mine was pretty ordinary, it was because there was a problem with the exhaust, I since found out that it was almost completely blocked, so I have replaced it and Im pretty confident that it has solved the problem. BNR32t - 2 out of 10 for who?
  8. Frinks stripes are red, mine are blue (see signature pic).
  9. In all honesty I just hope that my car makes it through the day without breaking something
  10. Damn... Sounds nice. Good luck
  11. Yeah my folks never loved me I thought that I might get that sort of response I was just picking on you deliberately. Youre so easy to fire up Michele... Im glad that Im not your mortal enemy (yet).
  12. I think that its time that we had a tuning shop recomendation / results thread where people can ask about other Skyliners experiences with Dyno / street tunes and how happy or unhappy they are with the work done. I have personally had 2 full dyno tunes done on my RB25DET + A'Pexi Power FC by Autotech in Fyshwick - Pete has always been very helpful and informative and the first tune that he did was great - No knocks, good AFR's and smooth power delivery. Pete does like to tune RB's a little rich though (11.5:1 - 11.7:1). I would give my first tune an overall rating of 8 out of 10. The second tune was done by Ed at Autotech and he was very helpful and aproachable also and he tuned the engine for great torque and mid range power (see picture) - however I wasnt really happy with this tune because a few days after the engine started knocking. In his defense Im pretty sure that I had a partially blocked exhaust system when he tuned it. = 5 / 10 I have now booked in with John at Trojan motorsports for my third (and hopefully final tune) and Im hoping that there is someone here who has had their tune done by John and what the result was?
  13. How much are you planning on spending? You can buy my GT30/71R ball bearing for $1,900... I wouldnt mind upgrading to a GT30/37
  14. Incorrect - It matters more that you use the best quality wax that you can get rather than just putting more coats of an average one on. I never bother doing more than one coat with a good polish (or wax) because you simply dont need to... Bluprint - Its all in the forgeing process (I thought Id get in first)
  15. R32 - R33 Gtst 1.5way lockers wont feel very different at all if they're the same brand... Only an extremely experienced racer like Tsuchiya or Inada would be able to tell if they were driving an R32 or 33 locker diff just by feel.
  16. Youre right about guitar hero, I suck at it and thats why it sux! P.S. Im glad you like the Federal's... Now you just have to learn how to drive
  17. Youre such a GEEK!! Just send me the f**king trophie! P.s. Guitar hero sux
  18. I'll be nice and guess 53kw...
  19. Hey Stevo, Ive paid the $93.00 - Send me a trophie!
  20. CeJay (R32 GTS4) Towlie (R33 GTST) 33 Sedan (R33 GTST) Trident (R33 GTST) ZCR (R32 GTST) Nick (VL Turbo) GZ R33 (R33 GTR) Mad Max (F6 Typhoon) LadyBytes (R32 GTST) LadyBytes (R32 GTR) Tarmac- (R33 GTST) Turismo (Starlet) TailsTails (R33 GTST) SupaFly Skyline (XR6 T Ute or R32 skyline) BNR32t (R32 GTR or mustang) Bullet32 (R32 GTST) Ok, I'll play... I'll come along and represent SAU. By the way, I never meant that we shoudlnt invite the Supra guys because they'll blow us away (power wise) I just meant that it will be an easy win for them if we are doing it as part of a 3 event challenge. I dont like to lose It will be a good day anyway, so Im in.
  21. Hey Jayce, whats happening with the old girl?? Still no go with the build yet?
  22. Im not embaressed, I just know that the Supra vs Skyline thing has been going around and if we were to do a Dyno Day with them we would lose... P.S. At least I know for sure that mine will put down a great deal more kw than yours
  23. Im very keen for this day, we seem to have enough interest aswell... We just need a solid booking now. By the way "Silver RZ" lots of power might be good for dyno days and the quater mile but on the track its a different story... There are a few light little GTST's here that pack a good punch on the track without having big power figures... You might get us on the straight but look out for us through the twisties
  24. What would the overall price for option one be? (Ballpark figure)...
