If youre looking for an in tank pump then you dont want an 044 because they're external, you will have to modify the fuel system to use an 044. My recommendation is to source a Walbro in tank. Talk to Trojan in Mitchell or ESP in Queanbeyan.
  4. There's one problem there. If your 32 is an Aus delivered edition you might be able to find a direct replacement, but if its an import - they didnt come out standard with indicators in the guards, so importers use aftermarket ones when they come into the country... Which means that they could be anything.
  5. Your choice in the end, but I dont agree with "Nick" at all. Ive had both engines and both have been lightly modified and I know which I would prefer. FYI - You only need a full computer replacement if you want to start playing with AFR's, Timing, RPM limits etc. or if you want to use larger injectors, you dont need a PFC to put an aftermarket turbo on. But good luck with the build up anyway

  12. They're not that much better here... I have been let go a couple of times but there are still plenty of them that will do you for 3 - 5km over. Youre better off not taking any chances. Look up "National Museum" in Where is.com and we'll probably be in the carpark on Friday night from about 9 - 9:30pm.

  14. If you want I can probably get you a Bosch 040 in tank pump for between $300 - $350 or you can try calling the boys at Trojan, they'll be able to help out.

  16. I didnt say that you get more torque from the computer I meant that you get more torque from an RB25 over an RB20... Im saying that it is easier to use an R33 computer for an R33 motor. The amount of work involved in splicing the looms is actually minimal as they're very similar, however if youre not an auto elec and you dont have a wiring diagram then it could be very hard for you. If you get a front cut with the motor, gearbox, computer and loom like I did then the whole process is a lot easier.

ADR used to mean that they're road legal but the RTA in all its wisdom has passed a new rule that states that all height adjustable suspension is illegal without engineers certificate - and to get one of those apparently you have to get the height adjustability locked out or removed somehow? Dont ask me where they came up with that brilliant idea.
  18. Ive seen some pretty damn good banners recently, I dont think that the quality would be comprimised to much once printed. I only whipped that picture up quickly with Paint Shop pro so I can change it in any way to improve it.

  20. Forget about running an RB25 on the RB20 computer, youre better off getting the 25 computer and loom in the half cut... You might get the same outright power from an RB25 as your old RB20 but I will guarantee that you will get more torque, and its torque that pins you into your seat and spins wheels. Your turbo will run just fine with the stock ECU, I had the stock 25 ECU in mine when I put my GT30/71 on it and the boost went from 9psi to 12psi at the manifold. The standard 25 ECU has an "air/fuel tolerance" built into it that allows you to turn the boost up a bit (not a lot). It will run a bit more rich than standard but thats better than lean. FYI - RB25DET computers are "un-tuneable" you will need to have an RB25 computer chipped to change any settings... My advice is to just source a plug in replacement like a PFC or get an SAFC if you want to play with the AFR's - Did I use enough acronyms there? P.S. > Thanks Scooby, I like my engine too

  24. HKS Air Pod (fully secured, but not in an enclosed box) ----- As long as your pod is secure it will be fine. Front Mount IC ------ If they see a front mount they will most likely send you to get an EPA emissions test. Boost guage on dash ------ Illegal if it is in the wrong position, youre better off removing entirely. Turbo Timer ------ Illegal without engineers certificate. tinted windows (think they will defn get me here) ------ Depends on how dark. full 3inch apexi exhaust (gonna buy a silencer to quieten before i go in) ------- As long as your decibel limit is under 90 youre fine. manual boost controller ----- Illegal without engineers certificate. Apexi Blow Off Valve ----- All atmospheric blow off valves are illegal. Strut Brace ----- Fine. TEIN Coilovers ------ All adjustable coilovers are illegal without engineers certificate. Be aware that if you have to go for an EPA test - you probably wont pass... If you take a stock VE Clubsport to be tested they dont pass, even if you take it there straight from the showroom. The rules are stupid. Also if you have "staggered fitment" wheels and tyres you will need to change them for stockies as they're illegal. This is exactly why I didnt drive my car that whole weekend... Cops are tops!! ---- Sarcasm.
