  1. Really? I didnt know that, Cheers Steve
  2. If you go to an exhaust shop like Powatone in Fyshwick for example, they will cut and weld on a flange for you and make up a rego muffler for about $150.00 - $200.00, and its always worth having the muffler for the future because you never know when you might need it.
  3. What the hell are you guys on about?
  4. Put me down for a set of braided lines when this one starts up again... (R32 Gtst)
  5. Even though 595RS is a street legal tyre it is more focused towards track use, therefore giving it a fairly short life when compared to a street tyre. You will find that a relatively soft UHP (ultra high performance) street tyre like the 595 (240 tread wear) should last you about 30,000km if you look after them. A comfort tyre (not as soft as UHP) is usually around the 420 - 500 treadwear range which will inturn give you around 50,000km of life. However you do usually sacrifice overall dry grip when you go for a longer life tyre. The 595 RS has 2 different tread wear ratings depending on size - 140 / 180 which usually results in you getting about 15,000 - 18,000km out of a set (depending on how much time you use them on the track). I always advise against using the RS on the street as they perform at their best when they are hot and street driving will NOT get them hot enough to reach their full potential, but they are street legal so the choice is yours to make. (these are estimations based on treadwear and proper tyre maintenance, if you do not rotate your tyres or check pressures regularly you will not get the desired life from them). I hope this helps
  6. I dont think that it will fit then. Sounds like your exhaust from the cat back is all one piece, which means that you will need to have it cut and flanged somewhere around the diff so that you can keep a "rego muffler" on hand for these situations.
  7. I'll take one in blue... For R32. I have an R33 RB25DET in mine though, will it still fit?
  8. I know that this has most likely been asked a dozen times but.... Any chance on getting one for R32 Gtst?
  9. Thats what I like about you Michelle, you tell it like it is...
  10. Someone is on thin ice right now.....
  11. The reason that the 595RS in 225 / 45 R17 is slightly heavier and has a higher load rating is because it is an extra load tyre, designed to be used on vehicles requiring a higher load index such as Subaru Forester GT or XT for example. The extra load casing also provides a stiffer sidewall and carcass which helps to reduce flex under hard cornering, meaning that you dont roll the rim over onto the sidewall and risk damage to the outer casing... A stiffer sidewall also makes the tyre more predictable in over / understeer situations and improves steering response. I hope that answers your question.
  12. Great, thanks
  13. Not neccesarly... You cant compare tyre O.D's from one tyre brand to another because they are only relative within their own brand. The Federal 595's in 235 / 40 R18 have an O.D of 642mm and the same tyre in 265 / 35 R18 is 643mm Not one tyre brand has exactly the same measurements as another because its not an exact science.
  14. Yeah Ive got an R32 Gtst silencer muffler, its flanged just before the diff, if it fits you can borrow it
