  1. Youre such a smoothy Michele...
  2. I had the nearest miss ever a while back... Frink will confirm this on. On a "spirited" drive out at the cotter with a few other Skyline driving mates, we were all overtaken by an idiot in a Ford Laser TX3 turbo in one move on the wrong side of the road (double lines too). This naturally pissed me off, so at the T intersection a bit further down the road Luke (Frink) caught and over took the Laser, I decided to follow Luke and teach this Laser a lesson (blind corner) but the problem was that Luke knew what was coming on the other side of the road and I didnt... When we got passed the blind corner of the intersection I was side by side with the Laser going about 80kmh and headed straight for me was a Land Rover with a big bullbar! Luckily the Laser and I both moved over to our left and so did the Land Rover, we went passed each other 3 cars wide on a 2 lane road... Really dumb move I know, I almost had to hit myself in the chest to get my heart started again.
  3. RH9 made 1066hp at the wheels to win the Hp award... I think its about 795kw... Using NOS. Not bad at all but I think that Twoogle was the most impressive - making 502kw with low mount turbos and no NOS.
  4. Hahaha! You traitor Scott! Its all good, I know that one day you'll come crawling back to me for some 595RS'
  5. I'll give it a miss... Im not real keen on spending $80.00 on fuel to drive around asking to be pulled over and defected by the PoPo because Im driving a "hoon" car... Trust me, because of the holidays the cops will be out in force.
  6. Im not at a Federal Dealer... I AM Federal! I actually work for the Federal importer / distributor... Youre welcome to e-mail me if you like, PM me and I'll give you my e-mail address. Cheers
  7. +1, Agreed.
  8. 15psi wont hurt a healthy RB25DET, I run mine everyday on 18psi at the manifold (21 at the turbo) and its a daily driver... I do have an adjustable computer though, so my AFR's arent stock.
  9. I didnt say what kind of AFM it was I just said clean it... I know that it improves the response and smoothens the idle if you do it properly because I have done it on multiple RB25's and RB20's and it has worked everytime.
  10. Unfortunately the 595 EVO isnt available in your size yet, its still a very new tyre and we have limited sizes available. But we have the 595 available and I personally use them aswell as a lot of other Skyliners here. They are in my opinion the best "Bang for your buck" tyre available on the market. Ask around and you'll get great reviews
  11. Im sure that its a simple problem. Use the "process of elimination" technique. Buy a can of carbi cleaner from Repco for about $10.00 Check and clean your air flow meter first with the carbi cleaner, if the thin wire inside is caked in crap that will cause the computer to lean the engine out because it doesnt think its getting enough air flow, this will create a miss in the top end. If that doesnt fix it run the engine and spray the carbi cleaner CAREFULLY* over the inlet manifold, if the revs pick up and the engine seems to run smoother then you have a blown inlet manifold gasket. *The reason I say carefully is because carbi cleaner is highly flammable and you dont want the can blowing up in your hand Third, if the first steps dont work, find someone with an RB25DET that will lend you their Crank angle sensor, if you swap yours over for another one that you know works and it makes the engine smoother and more responsive then your CAS is on the way out. Fourth - Check amps and pulse on the fuel pump, see if it is getting constant flow. Fifth - Pull out your coil packs, clean them thouroughly, tape the plugs and tips up with decent masking tape and spray them with a heat proof enamel black paint, this should help to insulate them and stop any spark arcing out the side before it reaches your spark plugs. If these steps dont work, I would do a compression test and see to see if your rings and valves are still ok. Good luck
  12. Hey, Welcome. Nice, R33 GTR's arent to common around here I think that an obvious way to tell if youre car is genuine V-Spec would be the brakes? I think that the R33 GTR V-Spec has Brembos on it and the normal GTR doesnt... I could be wrong. If youre after tyres... I can help
  13. ^^^ ladybytes - THREAD HIJACKING!!^^^ BAN!
  14. Seriously... I would have thought that 3 Big Brother's was enough, now their going for number 8!? Its almost as bad as Survivor. What is so interesting about watching people do nothing all day???
  15. "Turismo" will need decent tyres before he "kicks serious butt"
  16. Another R33 Gtst in Canberra, wow Jokes... Welcome. As for your question, if youre running a stock side mount cooler and stock / near stock exhaust, my advice would be - dont turn the boost up at all. Get yourself a decent front mount and 3" mandrel turbo back exhaust, then turn the boost up to 12psi (thats about as much as the stock turbo will handle). If you turn the boost up without doing some inlet and exhaust upgrades you wont be happy with the result and you have more risk of damaging the turbo. Oh and an oil catch can is a good idea to because if you turn the boost up on a standard turbo they usually start to blow oil through the inlet. Just my advice, take it or leave it
  17. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :laughing-smiley-014:
  18. Big Brother = A waste of good air space that could be used for more exciting programs like, "The highlights of watching paint dry"....Sad... Very very sad...
  19. HAHAHAHAH!!!! "Salami Slapper!" You made some calls... Were they 1900 numbers Steve??
  20. Yeah the Missus loves Sydney too, she's getting into Autosalon more and more every year we go so no problems there. Thanks I love my car too... I had that stripe made up by a mate of mine who is a sign writer, only cost me $150.00 and he put it on (looks very proffesional that way) but Im not sure where you can buy one off the shelf, you might have to shop around some sign writers and see if they will make and apply one for you. Just make sure that its a different colour to mine - you wouldnt want to be classed as a "strap on" would you?
  21. RAOFLMAO!! Steve... You ordered a porno in someone elses room!!?? Thats so FUNNY! No wonder you were tired on Saturday!!
  22. If I may voice my opinion... Well if you want to get the most from your engine set up (RB25 / 30DET) then I would suggest a fairly large low mount turbo such as a Garret GT30 / 82R, dont bother high flowing the one you have. Im using a GT30 / 71R (slightly smaller than the 82R) and it is good for about 250rwkw, the larger GT30 / 82R will be better for your engine because you have more down low power because of the larger capacity and it will probably spool a larger turbo pretty quick. If youre going for out right power then you will need a fuel pump - go for a Walbro in tank or Bosch 040. You'll also need to upsize your injectors as the standard ones will max out pretty quick, go for some SARD 550cc brand new squirters, dont bother having the standard ones high flowed. As for your intercooler, I have been using a Just Jap / Cooling pro 300 x 600 x 76 front mount for a while and Ive never had a problem, I would highly recommend one for the price. Get in contact with GCG in Sydney for the turbo, Powerflow injection for the pump and injectors and Just Jap for an intercooler. Im using similar equipment in my RB25DET (550cc injectors, 040 pump, GT30 / 71R and JJR front mount) and my car makes 230rwkw and 550nm at 18psi, very conservative AFR and it has bugger all lag.
  23. You sold a 2001 SS Commodore for a series 2 R31 Skyline?? WTF?
  24. I wonder who this goofy looking guy is??
  25. Yep... Just one from me.
