  1. Yeah, dont go putting a GTR V-spec bar on it... I dont want people to think that we have the same cars Nice ride though, if you need advice or tips on modding, maintenance or rego, I can help... Ive been through it all.
  2. Put me down for a shirt in Medium and maybe one for the missus (small), that design is awesome (even though its not an R32 )
  3. I cant help with a skirt or two but I do know that Frink is a big blouse if that helps...
  4. Youre welcome... The 140 treadwear is only on very few selected sizes - the official rating is 180. By the way if youre in the market for some street legal semi-slicks then you may be interested to know that the 595RS has recently (in the last few weeks) had a large decrease in sale price... So if you visit your local Federal Tyre dealer now, you should notice the better pricing compared to about a month ago. If you have any trouble finding your local dealer call - (02) 9526 7456 for Sydney and surrounding areas or 1800 050 060 for ACT and southern NSW areas. Happy hunting!
  5. Thats actually not a bad price (retail) I paid about $125.00 for a 2.5L around a year ago.
  6. DAMN Leshy, that SUX man! It SH!T's me when I hear about this sort of thing especially when its someone I know!

  8. Good question, I hope this helps... Firstly I have been informed that the KU15 is no longer planned for continued sale in Australia. Secondly if you have a closer look at the specs on the tyre you will notice that the Kumho is not in the same category as the Federal 595RS (probably not the RT615 either). The Kumho KU15 has a treadwear rating of 220 where as the 595RS is either 140 or 180 depending on size - this can mean that the compound in the Kumho is not quite as soft as the RS (or the 615). The KU15 would be close matched to the Federal 595EVO (see picture) - which has the same sort of tread design and a similar treadwear rating (240) meaning that both the KU15 and the 595EVO are in the Ultra High Performance STREET tyre category. These ratings are official UTQG (Uniform Tyre Quality Grading) specs. You will find also that the 595RS is more of a track tyre than the Kumho because of the difference in tread design... One single continuous circumfrential tread block aswell as across the tread face makes for a very stiff tread pattern - meaning less tread squirm, better steering response and higher levels of traction under load (cornering), where as tyres with separated tread blocks can have more tread squirm. Just a bit of info for you to help with your tyre choice.
  9. Just thought you'd throw in a sales pitch there ey Shawn?
  10. Hey Ben, Im looking at having some paint work done in the near future... Can you PM details please?
  11. I'll actually be doing some work on my car mechanically and asthetically on Saturday, so I might not be able to make it by midday, especially as I have to vote aswell.
  12. I'll put in for a Redline Shockproof 2.5L and a Motul 8100 Xcess 5L if you can get them cheap.
  13. For boost control through the PFC you need to buy the add on boost solenoid kit, which will set you back about $500 - $600 on top of the cost of the FC itself, which should cost around $1,000 from Nengun.com Be careful which FC you get though because I think (and I could be wrong) there are 2 different types for RB25DET, one is for non VCT (early models) and the other for VCT (later models). Make sure you shop around, there might be someone on these forums that will sell one fairly cheap.
  14. That was only because I turned the boost up without having it re-tuned - it screwed with the mixtures. My bad
  15. Geezus some people are so picky. Not every car "polish" contains a cutting compound... And Meguires "Tech Wax" is a synthetic polish that contains only man made ingredients, it may be called a wax but it doesnt actually contain Carnouba Wax (which is incidentally the main ingredient in car WAX)... Polish is a term used pretty losely when youre talking about cars, you can say I "Polished" my car when in fact you waxed it... You dont have to cut and polish every time you polish or wax your car, I personally dont use hand cutting compounds because Ive found that most of them dont work - especially on decent paint. If your paint needs a cut back then do it properly and get it machine buffed. I just gave advice on the best way to clean and polish or wax your car, you dont have to pay any attention if you dont want to... By the way... How long did you spend as a proffesional detailer?
  16. Power FC is probably the best plug and play replacement computer for Skylines / Silvias etc. Most tuners around will have the FC tune program aswell. I use the PFC for my RB25DET and its been perfect... Never had an issue.
  17. Youre welcome... If you have a wheel to repair they're the guys to see, I had them machine and paint my rims and they look brand new. I would recommend them to anyone
  18. Nope, Im still using the TEIN's... I cant remember last year, I keep remembering the year when I had the R31. My memory is fading with age
  19. Hey if you like Nankangs then thats cool... Im just a bit bias towards a certain brand (as you may have noticed) If you like the Bridgestone adrenalins then you might like the 595 EVO (see picture) its still very new and we dont have a lot of sizes but its definately a sticky street tyre...
  20. Polish your car before waxing it??? What are you talking about? I never said anything about waxing... I dont use wax based polish anyway, its to thick and messy, synthetic is the best. Windex has never failed for me, I have used it on almost every car I have ever cleaned and it has never once left corrosion or marks of any kind. If you read my previous post I said "Use as little as possible" - this will prevent streaking especially if you use a clean cotton rag. Also, if you get window cleaner on the body of the car when cleaning the windows it makes four fifths of f*ck all difference if its polished or not, because window cleaner dries without leaving residue and a clean soft rag will wipe it off with out leaving a mark, but if you want to clean before polishing go for it, it really makes no difference.
  21. Youre thinking in reverse Luke... The lower number if it is in positive the wider the offset is (depending on the width of the wheel). For example +22 will sit further away from the strut than a +32 in the same size and width. You should buy these wheels Luke they would look GREAT on your car especially seeing as they have a red inner lip! (Its just a pity that they have horrible tyres on them). DO IT!
  22. I think someone just got burnt.... I feel your pain, you cant live with em and you cant kill em.
  23. You have to admit... Its a dumb idea having so many show / street / race cars all in the one place if you dont have good access though. Once you've driven through the dust your nice clean car gets a fine brown film all over it.
  24. No no, its the "anti shoe horn shoes" that do it...
