No problem, just trying to help out Apart from the differing brands, they all have different internal diameters and filter types which means that they would have different flow characteristics. You want one with bolt on flanges - don't get a weld in one, they're a pain in the ass! This one would be my choice - Zane is right, if youre to rough with the studs on the back of the turbo they can snap or strip the thread. Every time I have removed and installed a dump pipe I have had very 'sticky' exhaust studs. Soak them in WD40 for half an hour or so (respray them every 5 minutes) and they will be A LOT easier to work with. OR - You could get the boys at ESP to install it all for you (although you will have to pay for it obviously) - tell them that Mick from Federal sent you

Your best bet is to buy from an enthusiast who has advertised in the For Sale section of these forums... At least three quarters of people who sell through SAU have looked after their car and are reluctantly selling it.

Don't bother getting an exhaust shop to supply and fit a dump pipe and cat for you... If you're reasonably handy with a spanner you can easily do it yourself. I was using a Just Jap mild steel dump pipe from the turbo and a high flow 3" cat (also from Just Jap) with my standard turbo and I can tell you from experience that turbo response does improve because put simply - with a larger diameter dump pipe and free flowing system you allow more gas to pass through the turbo quicker meaning more boost response and faster pressure build up (less lag). With a large diameter dump pipe you also allow the wastegate to exhaust gas more efficiently as well, allowing you to control boost levels better. Oh and you wont need a hot-dog muffler to keep the noise down, there wont be a noticeable increase in db just from fitting a bigger dump and cat... You'll probably only notice that the exhaust note will be deeper and more rumbly (which is a good thing) "I was told by the guys at the exhaust shop that this would cause the turbo to spool 1500rpm earlier" - Not true, the most you will notice will be around 400 - 500rpm (depending on the condition and type of turbo you have). Haha - Nice thread hijack samuri UWISSH - I don't know if you will find many R33 GTR owners who run your exact size and offset wheels with 285/35R19's as well... But I'll see if I can help. If you have 275/30R19's on at the moment and they are running fine without fouling on guards or suspension I would recommend sticking with them if possible. However, if you want to up-size to 285/35R19 you'll need to do some measuring first because there is a significant overall diameter and width difference between the 2 sizes... Also, remember that different brands will have different widths even though they have the same size printed on the sidewall, tyre sizes are only comparable within each brand, not brand to brand... I have seen differences of up to an inch in width between tyres listed as the same size in different brands. Here's some info on these sizes: 275/30R19 - Approx O.D = 647mm (depending on tread depth), approx width = 260 - 275mm (depending on the brand). 285/35R19 - Approx O.D = 682mm (depending on tread depth), approx width = 270 - 285mm (depending on the brand). Thats a difference of approximately 35mm in diameter and there could be a difference of between 10mm and 25mm in width (you won't know until you physically measure the new tyres). My advice is to get under the car while it's sitting on the wheels and suspension (not on a jack) if you can maybe use a 4 post hoist so that you can measure the room you currently have between your tyres, suspension and inner guards... If you don't have enough room in height and/or width then it's probably not a good idea to upsize. I hope this helps

I hate to give you bad news guys, but 225/50R16 is not on the cards for these tyres... Sorry.

They're on the cards... In the next 12 months the size range will increase by at least 4 or 5 more lines... Be patient young Jedi.

This testing was done by an independant driver training company called 'Risk Assesment' and it was actually at Morgan Park not Lakeside (the IRS round referred to was at Lakeside) 3 almost identical vehicles and 4 different drivers - results were averaged out. The FZ-201 proved to be about 1 second per km quicker than the 595RS-R and after each session was completed they were between 3 and 5 seconds quicker (depending on the pressure used, temperature etc).
