  1. Ive always liked you Leigh! Ill be there along with my lovely ladie friend.. Luke (Frink) should be there too... And do I hear a faint hoorah from Mark (Bluprint)??
  2. No you shut up.... Im so much more mature than you!
  3. I cant believe how full of "it" some people are! AND... I cant believe what I am reading! There is nothing wrong with and never will be anything wrong with modding an "ageing" car and anyone who says that it is a money pit or a time sink is kidding themselves! eg: *R31 Aus spec 4 door average purchase price $3000 - $5000 for a good one. *R32 Gtst Import - $10000 - $16000 for a good one. *R33 Gtst Import - $16000 - $21000 for a good one. *R34 GTT Import - $24000 - $30000 for a good one. Consider those prices as a stock car purchase (no mods) now... I know R31's and if anyone wants to argue that point PLEASE DO! A good R31 RB25DET conversion can be done for under $7000 I know because I did one! As for the brakes and suspension - The brakes dont need major upgrading unless the car is going to see track every now and then just a good set of High temp pads and slotted rotors is enough plus the obvious things like new fluid, wheel bearings and mabye a caliper rebuild, all up - under $1000. Suspension - Bushes $500 for a full set of urathanes - Fitted, Lowered springs $150 an end and shocks $200 an end. As for engineering ($600 at the most) - you shouldnt have problem passing it with those mods as long as nothing has been done "bodgy" and the car is road worthy.... Once again I know because I have done it! All up if the cars exterior is in good condition which isnt rare you shouldnt need to do much else to it apart from maby service or rebuild the diff - $750. SO - For uner $14000 you will have a VERY nice R31 with ALOT of sleeper apeal and it will be great to drive (and it will upset alot of V8 boys from the lights). Where as if you buy a later model like a 32 and put an RB25DET in it you will have already spent at least $17000 buying the car and front cut. So Gus If you want to do it then BLOODY WELL DO IT! People said that I was an idiot for building my car but look at what it is today and the benifit of it all is that not every joe and his dog has a modified 31 (unlike certain other Skyline models). Oh and Gus - If you need help with any Parts or work at all let me know cos I can get anything for very cheap (which means it will all be cheaper again) and there is nothing I cant do to a 31. There Ive said my piece....Now i sit back and wait for the fall out.
  4. Woops double post
  5. Woops triple post maybe i loose a bit of my brain every time i shave my head!!!
  6. Good man! Ill be there ( I always am)
  7. I think that your sh*t out of luck looking for a front bar or bonnet in Canberra unless you go to J'Racing and talk to Jerry about it (he's not cheap though because he will not do a half assed job) but if you want good parts at a reasonable price for Skylines, call Just Jap auto imports in Kirrawee in Sydney and get Tony or Darren to send you a bar and bonnet and ask them what you need to do to put the headlights in... Trust me when I say that they are the most cluey guys when it comes to Nissans and they will help you out no problems at all. Also when you get the bar and you want it painted talk to Prestige smash repairs (I think they're in queanbeyan Im not sure tho) cos they resprayed my friends car and it is immaculate (I would know cos I was a new car detailer for 3 years).... Hope I could help man
  8. If you think that Aristo's are a nice car (as I do) then you will be interested to know that High perfomance imports magazine have bought one for thier new project car (the 2JZ -GTE type) should be a good read...
  9. Bugger the 2 weeks, Im giving up now... And Luke - Shut up you schmuck
  10. da33a - I have to agree with Luke (Frink), that IS one really sweet set of wheels you have there, I saw it at final battle last year and got a few pics.... Much respect dude
  11. I wouldnt be a spoil sport if it didnt happen on a regular basis... Anyway! You be quiet you non skyline owner! Hehehe Jks
  12. Ok Nick.... Thats is a resonable excuse I guess
  13. Spotted a D*ck head in a white R33 a couple of days ago trying to drift his car (badly) at the end of my street.... I know exactly who it is but for now they shall remain nameless... This is a warning though! If you do that Sh!t in or around my street again I will report your rego to the cops (and it only takes one complaint for your car to made to go over the Dickson pits) because I have no time for idiot hoons who give the rest of us a bad name!
  14. Well, its on again tonight people! I have to say it again... Lets get some interest back into Tuesday nights, even if you cant bring a Skyline (who cares) just come for a good time with your fellow enthusiasts!!!! If no one shows up within 2 weeks then Im giving up!! Cos I used to really look forward to Tuesday night, but now you dont know if anyone at all will be there! I know I only started going about 6 or 7 months ago but the times when we filled up 2 tables (as Jayce said) were so much fun! There is no excuse! Even if you have indoor sport or a buggered knee, there are ways to get there! Anyway.... I will continue to go because I consider myself a DIE HARD ACT SAUer (I hope that Jayce will back me up here ) and I even went to the Central coast for this club so how hard is it to make it to Jerra pub for a few dinks and laughs!!! Hmmmm????!!!! Rant over...
  15. So WHERE WAS EVERYONE!!!??? Especially Richard?? You guys are so BORING! C'mon guys it used to be so much more fun when we had over 20 Skyliners there!
  16. Well, Christmas is over and the new year has passed so that means that everyone should be back in thier normal "routine" by now... SO WHY IS NO ONE COMING OUT TO TRIVIA!!!???? It has only been about 4 - 5 of us so far, come on people lets get some more interest in meeting and having a great time with your fellow Skyline enthusiasts! I expect there to be at least a dozen people next Tuesday NO EXCUSES!!! ....... Please
  17. Drove to work this morning behind Slither (most of the way) and another Black R33 GTST with what lokked like R33 GTR rims. I dont know how that car can be daily driver Slither, it so stiffly sprung that I would have to wear a kidney belt to drive it.
  18. I might be comin out tonight to show off my new "addition" to the beast, but no guarantee's
  19. When you do get the chance to drive a GTR (properly) Leigh, you will realise why they are so much more appreciated than the GTST, I have driven a very serious R32 GTR before and since then I have lusted after one ever since (particularly an R32 GTR Vspec2... Hmmmm I wonder who has one of those?) but I simply cannot afford one, let alone the insurance price tag, but ONE DAY! I will have one! Jayce..... If you happen to die of "natural" causes can I have your car pretty please? You know Ill take good care of it!
  20. I keep spotting Nicks Gtr on hoist everytime I go past Integra on my way home from work.... Whats going on Nick??? Its taking a while to just "fit a new radiator".
  21. OH.... Hatsu as in Dai-Hatsu.... Heh heh heh, my bad, I take it back Andrew, I guess Im the idiot (thanks for making me the idiot Jayce )
  22. Andrew your an idiot its HATCHI rocku not Hatsu... Cant you speak Japanese? Anyway.... I have decided to vote for R32 because I personally prefer them over the 33 and that is enough of a reason for me. I personally have driven most kinds of Skylines (R31aus4door, R31 GTSx, R32 GTR, GTST, R33 GTR, GTST, GTS4) and I would be happy with any of them because they are all skylines... All this arguing is pathetic and pointless because it all depends on your personal tastes THATS ALL! But if money was not an issue I would have a Ferrari F40 4.2 twin turbo limited over any Skyline Hehehehe;) Just my 2 cents
  23. How many rear wheel kilowatts does your car have Andrew???
  24. ok well ill just take yours back then Mark.....
