  1. 4 hours later and using an english service manual i discover there are about 5 fuses stashed away in the boot of the skyline R33 all good now
  2. Noticed i had a bit of a "black eye" this morning so i replaced the bulb and all was well. Later i found it not working. Fiddling in the bonnet i managed to get it workign intermittendly, then i saw the tiniest of sparks and now nothing... Right Low Beam still works 100% Left Low Beam now never has any voltage. All fuses in drivers side fuse box inside the car seem ok. Where are the relays / fuses for the low beam lights, as i dont think ive found them yet. Would help if i could read gook a bit better, but i dont remember enough. Or what else could be rooted, i read around but no one elses solution has done the trick so far. /end rant *Luke
  3. Bought it today, 13K - goes like a rocket Thanks all
  4. Just fixing up all the things in my R33 that the seller didnt tell me about. so far ive foudn the rear water sprayer just pumps water into the boot, how do i get in to hook it back up to the nozzle part. Im looking at ripping out the wiper motor, unless some one can save me the hassle? Cheers
  5. It charges it fully, if you leave it long enough (overnight if its totally ^^^^'ed, dont drain it too often, each time roots the battery).
  6. www.carpoint.com.au email them all asking for more pictures to be emailed to you, go from there.
  7. Oh it has tons of power, compared to my current 1984 4cyc 1.6L engine, but point taken. I just think if im still into skylines when im 25+ ill go all out with the turbo and all the rest....Im just happy its R33, manual, and not going to cost an arm and a leg.
  8. OK, thanks everyone who replied, i successfully convinced the insurance i have a "genuine non modified engine". Now to negotiate with the seller. *Luke
  9. Ok ok, thanks So does anyone know if there are other differences between the japanese "taxi" spec R33 RB20 and the "normal" R33 RB25 Clearly its 0.5 Lt bigger, but are there differneces to the gearbox / diffs / cooling ... that i should know about. Seems to be a common reported problem that R32 RB20's are crap as they aparently over heat, is that a known problem of the R33 RB20?
  10. I'm looking at buyign my first skyline. As advertised....GTS R33 1994 (non turbo) I was under the impression that _ALL_ GTS R33 had RB25. This car has R33 stamped all under the bonnet, but is also stamped RB20. Does anyone know if this is the original motor, or if it is a replacement (dont ask me why ud put a smaller one in)?? Also is there a simple visual difference between the RB20 and RB25 that is easy to pick? Thanks in advance *Luke
