Hey man, Im also from Ivanhoe. A good place that would only be a 5-10min drive from your house, that specialise in turbo upgrades and other types of auto enhancements is PRO-TEK. They are also really good guys 2. Its located at 273 Dundas St Preston 3072 PH: 9484-3117

-
I need to know the same thing, at $30 a litre i cant afford to buy more than i need
-
Go down to calder park on a friday night see some drags and burnouts then go for a cruise down to safeway carpark off chapel st and see some more burnout action
-
Try Ace brake and clutch 93285591 on spencer st just out of the city, was just there today good guys good prices and they get quite a few skylines, a r33 gtr was there today!

thanks man u got an address or fone number to that place?

Ok so you were after opinions on the FTO, put simply they look gay, got no power (even the mivec has shit all torque) which = goes nowhere and will get munched by a stock vs commo. There also overpriced for what they are your better of getting a 32 or 33 gtst, they will rip it in every way, especially pulling the chicks B)

Ive been goin to alot of exhaust places around melbourne and non of them seem to have the ability to mandrel bend 3inch pipes, if u want an exhaust they need to weld up pieces of mandrel bends, either that or buy a jap exhaust Do any of you guys know a place that has a mandrel bending machine that can do 3inch's???? Or is it just not possible??? Thanks.
-
Ok fair enough...I was just wondering though if the difference in performance will be noticible between the 2?

Hi guys, I'm just about to put a full 3in exhaust on my r33 gtst. I have been looking around and have come across two different types of dump/front pipes, one is just your standerd single dump/front pipe and the other is a twin dump/front pipe. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the main performance differances are and what is a better buy? WEB SITES TO THE dump/front pipe THAT IM THINKING ABOUT PERCHUSING.. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=116177 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74022

Finally the budget allows for a turbo back exhaust to be fitted to the 33. I was just about to buy a nice looking Trust stainless catback system, then chuck on a front pipe etc, when a mate told me it would be cheaper to go to an exhaust shop and just get the full thing made up. It will probaly work out cheaper as well as allowing me to choose the exact muffler i want and also the angle it points out at the back, the only problem is will a custom exhaust be less flowing, due to welds???

Stock R33 ECU's have self-learning capabilities? so who's right? will an ecu reset put forward any benefits? its hard to belive a program can start learning how to perform beter once an exhaust and pod have been added to the car. I know how to reset it, but will it make a difference, and is it true you really need to thrash the car heaps after doin it, or is it just more fun to do it that way
-
yeah it probably is the more hammered engines producing less power theory coupled with shit driving, i dunno about the tyres though coz ive got Simex, as far as i know they are the cheapest worste tyres money can buy, just got them for complience lol.
-
yeah true there is alot of maroon ones now that i think of it...

I went for a cruise last night down to chaple street and noticed something ive noticed alot before, it looks like most r33s are white! Theres heaps of them, i have one too so i was just curious to see via the outcome of the poll in percentage terms if most of them really are white, or its just my imagination?
-
I want to put an exhaust on the 33 to get it sounding a bit meaner as well as getting the 15to25kw increase in power various mechanics has told me it would unleash (turbo back that is) but I dont have the money buy some sort of new ecu to tune it for the exhaust and pod. Ive noticed that when i have dragged some guys that i thought would rip my stock r33 due to their ones having exhaust and big front mounts, they are actually slower, and im not imagining my cars fast or something, it was proven by comparison times at calder park mine stock 14.6 others with the above mentioned mods (at least) same at best but others still getting low 15etc, they were manual gtst's as well. I know there are heaps of r33 getting 12, 11 and below but im asuming these guys would have spent $1000s on new computers. So back to my question will modifying the car without getting a tune result in worse performance?

I was just reading through an issue of WHEELS mag from last year, they test drove the xr6t and the best time they managed to get after numerous goes was a 14.3 in the manuel. My r33 gtst is 100% stock and at calder park a few weeks ago i got a on my second go [email protected] and im not a profesional driver that I assume these guys would be. So to answer the question what would win xr6t vs r33gtst pretty much the same performance, but i doubt the xr6t in 10 years time will still be pulling the numbers a 10 year old skyline can. Go the Skyline!! PS Fords are shit

[Times came down ALOT without the 60' time decreasing... What shift methods were u using? Im guessin the 1st run was diff from the 2nd and 2nd from the 3rd etc Wierd you have similar 60' times and similar trap speed but way different times Very good work in a complete stocko 14.6!] I thought it was wierd too, i wasnt using any shift methods i was just hammering it the best i could! lol

Hi guys, after having my 33 for a couple of months now i thought it was about time to take it to calder and see what she can run 0-400m in before i start with the modifications, so i have something to base improvments on. The cars stock and i mean dead stock, no exhaust, stock boost, no pod, not even a fancy panel filter just one of those yellow paper ones in the stock airbox. Its a 95 GTST 5speed, these are the times i got: 1st: 15.611 @ 94.94 2nd: 14.902 @ 96.45 3rd: 14.661 @ 96.23 I was pretty happy with the 14.6, I was wondering what kind of times you guys have got when your cars are /were stock?

r32 skyline market value for stamp duty?? (vic)
tezflow replied to gt-t_r34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Stamp duty is 4% of total purchase. So for example a car you buy for $10,000 you will need to pay $400 stamp duty (in victoria). When I called up a few insurance companies to ask about the "market value" of skylines, I was told that since they are imported the usual "market value" price estimate is not available, but that really doesnt matter, on the registration form you can pretty much write down the purchase price as anything, Im just taking a wild guess but since your car is a 89 R32 GTST (assuming its just imported) you may have paid around $7000 for it? Just right down that price, pay the $280 and bobs ur uncle! -
Thanks for the pic Big Rizza, i reckon it doesnt look too bad, I appreciate it!
