My R32 GTS-t has a speed alert chime at 110 (makes a 'ding dong' sound).

I was told by an engineer that if you want to use belts from another car you need a signed statutory declaration stating that the vehicle (that the belts are coming from) has never been in an accident It never ends. I'll try scout for some wrecks.

Try injecting glue into it? I'm thinking about having a go myself. I've got a nice bubble too!

That's all true. I should've done more homework before I purchased the car, I just assumed that the registration would've been a straight change-over and compliance was the same in all states. But I guess its true what they say: Assumption is the mother of all f**kups!

Hey guys, Took my R32 GTS-t to get an LO1 Mod Plate this afternoon and it turns out I need to replace my seatbelts in order to pass to get the plate. QLD rules and reg's require approved (ADR) seatbelts to be fitted, replacing the standard nissan ones The vehicle was complied in NSW previously. What did everyone else do - besides going an buying new ones? Can you get some from wreckers etc? Thanks in advance.

Thought i'd make a thread about with a bit of advice, after having troubles myself with changing registration over (in QLD) after buying an already complied (under 15 year rule) skyline from NSW. I needed to get an LO1 Mod plate here (in QLD) in order to get it registered in my name - costing at minimum $150. When changing registration from previous owner in: QLD - If previously complied and registered in NSW you will need: A Roadworthy Certificate, Certificate of Previous Registration, an LO1 Mod Plate (Australian Design Rule Compliance Plate - Only attainable from a qualified Engineer), if the vehicle is not already equipped with a compliance plate. To get the LO1 Mod Plate in QLD you will most probably need: Copy of original Import Approval letter from RTA (NSW), New seat belts for all seats that are ADR approved (not required in NSW), possibly a child restraint/seat mounting point behind each rear seat and possibly bigger/stronger side intrusion bars. I got a few numbers from them. 2 of them were disconnected, 1 of them no longer does it, another is unavailable til the 19th and one guy won't even look at the Engineers (compliance) Certificate I have from it being complied in NSW and wants to do a full check-over (compliance check) personally - up to $1500. I've got a quote from one engineer that is able to check it out - starting from $250. Looking for more so I can get the best price. Anyone got any more ideas/details? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know of any engineers (preferably on the southside) that can mod plate my car? I need to get an LO1 Mod plate because my car was complied in NSW under the 15 year rule. In QLD the vehicle is must be fitted with an LO1 Mod plate in order to register it. I have called a few workshops that I was told could do them, but apparantly i need to find an engineer that can issue LO1 mod plates, as not all of them can. Anyone got any details? Thanks in advance.

I've got an RB30 fan (with viscous) on my RB20DET. Works well, but MUCH noisier when its on 'stage 2'. It has 1 less blade, but the blades are quite a bit bigger.

My brothers' RS4 Stagea (auto) stalls when he turns the A/C off. :S I thought it could be AAC valve. When A/C is turned on, it idles up, but once its turned off it just dies.

My 32 does that around 110kph - when the speed alert chime comes on, usually.

I was actually surprised at when my old pulsar got egged one night - i chased them and got their plates, reported the details to my local cop shop. Not expecting them to do anything about it, i just thought i'd try. Few days later they call me to say the accused has been charged and I needed a quote to fix damages. Got some money out of them for chipping my paint and now they have "Wilful Damage" on their records. Not good to hear though mate - people lack respect.
