Im sure you can do better, on the other car it was cheaper for the dealer to replace the 9000's with bridgestone S03's which were 10x better. Then again, Ford does try to pass of the cars it fits them to as "sporty" hehe

LOL my crapbox was using nearly 2yo SP3000's, hate them even more than the SP9000's I had on the other taxi. I reckon the worst semi-comps would be quieter than these things dunlop calls tyres! Got not issues with tearing them up tho

The running of these days are getting pretty much flawless, or at least the club is doing such a great job that no one would even know if things weren't running well. Even running a bit behind and slightly changing the schedule goes smoothly! Thanks to the usual suspects who helped organise and run the day (club and officials). Have done every single one of these things now in the taxi (even if the colour did change hehe) and they've all been top fun. My only problem now is after having driven an evo around the pan, I think I'm ready to hang up the sideways antics (or bad attempts at sideways antics). Team Evo ftw! Have to agree completely there Snowy. Drove Fooey's in one of the morning sessions and while I know it was still quick, wasn't that impressed other than the steering feel and response of the car. But a later attempt in the afternoon "funtime" session using some suggested driving changes and well....f**k me!!! brake, turn in and punch it at the right time and it's almost like the moment you accelerated it latched onto a couple rails and just got on with business! (thanks heaps fooey) As usual, don't need to see the results but bring on the videos!

Ah but that is just a play on words! Eg the $49 optus cap give you $230 "value" of calls/sms/mms/data at the rates specified for the cap. Once you exceed the $230 value they start billing you at those rates mentioned. So if you can stick under the capped amount you are fine, the moment you go over, you're paying higher rates than a non cap plan and the bill racks up very quickly. Depending on what you're like with phones, also look at 12mth contracts, since most don't last a 24mth period given the warranty is half that. Al, have a look at http://www.phonechoice.com.au for an overall comparison of the plans, don't take it as gospel as I'm not sure how often they update it. But should be a good start anyways

Pfft, all the staff plan phones suck! Altho I'm with Optus myself and have never had a problem with their support or coverage. Always good with getting credits and discounts at end of contract retention time also. Exactly! They usually have higher flagfall and per 30sec rates than non cap plans so they give a false sense of economy. The Telco's love them because when you go over the cap, you're paying these higher rates and they end up winning big time!
