Are you saying it's longer or shorter to Cairns? We did Cairns in two days from Brissie, but that's because we wanted to stop along the way... we did brisbane to mackay in easy 10 hours and then Mackay to Cairns in easy 8 hours... we stopped in Townsville for a good 2/3 hours... And bundaberg is like ~3 hours from brisbane? The drive to Cairns on the Bruce highway is actually alright! People were telling us how crap it was, but it was way better than I expected. Just make sure your alert between rockhampton and mackay and bowen to Home hill.. those are probably the two worst stretches.. After home hill, theres very little outback and it's more tropical and sugar cane.

Have you searched the QLD forum lately and had a look? There was a thread not 2 weeks ago asking for any spray painters in Brisbane that are good/reputable.

Seeming people are whinging, I'm closing this thread too. All useless chat is to be kept in the whoretown as that's the reason it's there.

We have a whoretown for a reason. We also have a wasteland section on this forum for a reason. The whoretown thread takes up enough bandwidth without having another threads full of crap. That thread was started to keep all the crap talk in one area. I dont care if you start a "who's from the wide bay area". However, I have issues with you starting up a thread for people just to "chat" in when we already have a thread for that.

Dave, I spoke too soon.. I'm now getting sick and I blame Bek! And Garrett!! Stupid Doctors banned me from going to the hospital to see him! Smart though, dont want him getting worse.

Any sickness and a 3 week old baby isn't good.. but he'll get through. He was doing so well when I left last night as well He'll get through it Bek, we'll make sure of it! Theres nothing more heart wrenching than seeing a 3 week old baby with oxygen lines plastered to his face and him coughing his lungs up trying to breathe

For hicas also, theres a sensor in the steering wheel that can sometimes loose it's connection if it's not moved for a while... Example, driving on a freeway and making very little to slight turns. My Hicas light used to do this. It wasn't doing any damage, just came on. The could be quite a few reasons, best bet would be to get it data streamed and see what faults are coming up. Not many places have the data streamer, mainly Nissan Caryards IIRC. Although, Gavin Wood does have one. That's how all my faults were diagnosed when I first got the car, hicas light came on after driving for like 2 minutes and stayed on. Turns out that a wire between the speedo and computer had been cut so the computer wasn't getting the signals. Along with hicas, abs, speed limiter and many other things weren't working.

Best thing to do is to search the forum for information, that's the best way to learn. Theres no point in me writing everything out again when it's already spelt out on the forums.

I used to have the A-LSD version skyline. This feature was an upgraded option when bought new and cost quite a bit extra to get. This model of skyline with the upgraded options are often referred to as a V-SPEC model. Search the forum for A-LSD and you will find a wealth of information, it has been covered many times before. I used to find that my A-LSD light would come on if there weas a fault (particularly on a dyno or something). The slip light will come on everytime the computer senses that the two wheels are spinning at different speeds. You should also have an extra computer underneath your parcel shelf in the boot as the diff also runs it's own stand alone computer.

Poor Ben! He's on his way to getting a new shell so hopefully he'll be back out there soon.
