I'm not gonna piss aorund and lie I told everyone I was going down the coast... We had to meet at 8:30 at Garden City.. Not enouhg time to sit around and chat and then get there.. So i didn't bother.. I orignally wanted people to come for a *cruise* but no one wanted to..m So i simply didn't turn up

The car yard was telling us that it was a cut wire It wasn't Its just that the wire running from the Speedo to the computer isn't attached. But the wire running from the gear box to the speedo was working which meant our speedo was still working. Doctor.. is your speed limiter working?? that is another indication it might be this wire. Our speed limiter wasn't working when we had the HICAS problem.. but now its all fixed.. it is. Sometimes this is also an indication that your speedo has been fiddled with and the wire hasn't been reconnected. Try the speed limiter and see what happens If not I suggest you take it to Gavin Woods (If hes not to far away). Didn't cost us much..

Engine Management.. The thing thats in quarter panel on the floor in the passeger side of the car. But we've got a spare HICAS computer is anyone needs one!

When the piston in the Kingswood broke (Yes we had a kingswood) ... the noise was unbearable. i couldn't turn the car on because it was soo loud. It sounded like it was hurting the car too It's a very loud ticking noise that increases with revs. The mechanics thought it was the flex plate.. but after paying $450 to get all that fixed.. it turned out to be a piston. The car didn't run since then. It was gonna coast $3000 to fix because the idiot who built the engine didnt use corrosion inhibitor.

Well I know how you feel Doctor. When we bought our car the HICAS light was on. For months the car yard had it and to no avail. Took the car to Gavin Woods and within 10 minutes.. The problem was diagnosed. Have you noticed any performance problems? Cutting out at sets of lights?? Steering gets hard after about 3 minutes of driving?? WELL they were our problems and it ended up being the wire running from the speedo to computer wasn't connected. Now that is connected and everything is working. HICAS and it was cutting out at sets of lights because the computer didn't know how fast we were going making the speed sensor all confused. But I thoroughly recommend Gavin Woods at Auto Tech. Hes in Labrador. I can't praise him enough. [/plug]

I'm with you MRE... I didn't even know we had a fuel light!! We try and not go under the last 1/4 of the tank. Meaning we only really get around 300k's per tank then we fill up.

Wasn't that on last weekend.. Isn't that why all the tents were up?

Well i originally said 8 because we want to go down the coast... We are meeting at Rebel sport at mount gravatt (Garden City Car Park) between 8:30 and 9 i think. Soo.. anyone who wants to do a coast cruise... be there I originally meant that we all get together for a cruise down the coast.. but oh well

ok.. now i feel like a dumb blonde.. I'm not THAT much a potatoe I've replaced the fuses (are there only meant to be two in the front.. cause theres four spaces) and the lights still dont work. Actually i replaced both fuses. So whats another plan guys... I still haven't tried re earthing the stereo.. cause i dont know how and i dont want to break the nice new stereo.

I'm not.. i've been 18 for nearly a year and I haven't been near a nightclub once!! I'd rather waste the money in petrol

Well I'm stuck now Andrews not coming over and I've now realised I also have no tail lights.. And I'm as mechanical as a potatoe... so I can't fix it I think i might cry right now I had a really good weekend planned too :cuss:

I haven't spoken to fenn yet.. It might have to wait till tonight. But i'm thinking somewhere around mount gravatt and then cruise to springwood.. what you think?? just so when we get to springwood we all know who we are with?

So the fuses for the lights are under the bonnet?? We looked at them but didn't take them out. Kind of just said "Hey theres some fuses!" But... i'm not very mechanically minded. So... Andrew going away as of tomorrow and I think hes not fixing it on purpose cause he doesn't want me to drive the car. So i'll go somewhere and get it fixed.

Its on... I will talk to fenn today and organise a meeting place.

Just wondering... Any of you guys and gals have any idea what could be wrong? My dash lights wont work. On sunday andrew ripped the standard stereo out and put in our new one. As of sunday night I now have no dash lights. Headlights are still working though. A few people have suggested to check the fuses. We check them this afternoon and none are blown (every single one was checked) I know that when you turned your lights on the climate control panel and the stereo lights would dim.... Could this have sometime to do with the fact that the lights aren't now working? The climate control panel is still working.. just not the dash lights and the boost gauge light. Any ideas would be muchly appreciated.

I quite like the look of the Stagea's... The mechanic said they are basically a nissan skyline wagon. Good for a family car Nice and powerful too..

I dont work on weekends ... and I dont make coffee or tea. The beast occasionally lets me out to play.

Nah It's the same every week. Which mighten be a good thing!!
