Everyone has different opinions... I used to run 12psi on my standard cooler... Now I run 1bar (14.7psi) daily with my fmic and I've never had any troubles with the stock turbo.

I've also had my idle adjusted somehow on the pfc... It revs about 300rpm higher for about 2 seconds then drops so when I pull up anywhere... it's idling higher which means it won't cut out. I love power fc's

Yeah dave, they are directional... but I swap the backs around (actually get them taken off the rims) and then swap the fronts around (taken off the rims again).

Your best bet for prices would be to go into a store and speak to someone direct. As Eug said, if your a member of SAu QLD you get a discount at Bobjane which is nomally quite substantial. With wider tyres, you get extra grip. I've got 235's on the front and 255's on the back just like most imports. I normally rotate my fronts and backs to either side to get a more even tread wear and long life. Cars with bigger tyres look fatter as well

My car was doing this Syl when the throttle body was blocked/dirty. They just cleaned it out and it was ok again. Could be one option as to what's wrong.

I normally just go to Bob Jane at Macgregor and ask for 255/40/17 ss595 federals and I just say that i've previously got them for $200 a pop and they are cool with that.

I changed from Federals to Nexen's and I really wish I didn't. We've had federals on the car since March 2002 until this year.. SS595's are around $200 each for 255/40/17's. I'll be going back to federals once this set of tyres has gone. I hate them.

At this point in time it looks like it will be the $55... Unless we get a few more people between now and then. ANYONE is welcome, they don't just have to be from SAu.

We sometimes (when feeling lazy) go to the carwash at eight mile plains. Probably a fair way from St Lucia but its $6 for 14 minutes which is just enough time to prewash/wash/water/spot free rinse a skyline. But be careful with any high pressure hose, at the above mentioned car wash, some of our paint flaked off from the high pressure hose.

Maybe just ring around suspension companies (ie, Fulcrum) and ask them for prices. If they are around that price ($220) then I guess that's the goin rate.

If I were in, especially with suspension parts like the lower control arm, I'd be buying brand new so that you aren't replacing it in 2 months with another second hand part. Otherwise, search the QLD section of this forum for "wrecker", this subject has been covered many times before.
