  1. I mapped out an exact route and meeting times/places and you gold coast people still can't organise yourself. What's the difference between meeting in the yatala pies carpark rather than the bp carpark. I'd prefer the yatala pies carpark, less attention from prying eyes. Stop saying other locations or you are going to confuse the **** out of people and there is going to be 3 main meeting points on the gold coast for people and no ones going to turn up cause everyone will go to a different spot and be there alone.
  2. This might sound disgusting to you guys but it's pissed me off. I bloody go and get a papsmear like the stupid government likes us women folk to every 2 years.. and the ****ers charged me for it! $50! WTF. "go have a papsmear" "Here have a bill too". Theres a medicare claim form in with the invoice, so maybe I can claim some back. Just sucks. Especially when I'm running really short on money EDIT: Might I add, plus the $41 consultation fee. So that's like nearly $90 all up. :bs!: *sigh* I might go get some sleep i thik
  3. I'm pretty cranky right now.
  4. You'll get lost
  5. ... soo.. hows stuff
  6. Hrm, we had an auditor at work last week and a few the week before, so 7 days in total going through all our shit.
  7. *rubs eyes* I might actually be able to sleep tonight. God bless this rain.
  8. Course you can come yotis I think the gold coast people need to decide on a meeting spot! Or I'll make one for you Yatala Pies at 7:30 leaving at 7:45. There ya go, head up the freeway, take the gateway motorway exit, follow along until you get to the Wynnum Road exit. Turn left at the bottom onto Wynnum Road, follow along until you see a big shopping centre carpark on the left, turn left at the intersection with the BP and Red Rooster at opposite corners. Turn second left AFTER the first set of lights and that's the Bunnings carpark. There you go, all done. I might meet you's at Cannon Hill, depends on Andrew.
  9. They are quite commonly outside Photo Continental heading south on Logan Road at Mount Gravatt or outside Garden City Shopping Centre heading south on Logan Road. I saw them in BOTH spots on Thursday night. Lucky I was in mum's barina.. They never suspected I drove an import.

    Thoughts?

As Dave said, yes we race (we being andrew and I) but racing with kids in the car is just pure stupidity. One night down the coast, there was a blue VR commodore with clear tail lights trying to race Andrew. I looked over and there was a guy and a girl in the front and a toddler and baby in the back (makes me wonder if it's the tool that got caught). I told Andrew not to race them cause there were kids in the car. His response was "**** that".. As in, racing someone with kids in the car. I got on the radio and told the people with us to keep clear from the blue commodore that had kids in the back and were trying to race people. Might I add, it was also pooring with rain this night. No one else in our group raced this moron although he tried to race them. Well, they had a radio didn't they. So the chick continued to yell abuse at us for calling them ****wits and they decided to drive even more erractically and followed us onto the gateway motorway and along. They kept coming up beside us staring in the window and we just looked straight ahead. Then just before the mount gravatt capalaba road exit I told Andrew to pretend to start to race them, slowing down and stuff and wait for them to take off, then take the exit so they couldn't follow us. I know we probably put those kids life in danger, but I was worried about our safety first. Then the next weekend we were out again and this blue commodore was driving past andrews car yelling abuse at us.. We were just standing there going ok fruit loops *koo koo*. Then a while later Andrew realised that it was the same blue commodore with the clear tail lights yelling abuse at US because we were talking about them on the radio the week before. Since then, the chick keeps calling for the "scrag in the commodore" everytime they see andrew's car out on a Saturday night. I just laugh at how stupid and nieve someone could be racing with their own children in the car for one, and for two, doing it on wet roads around corners. Some people are just pathetic. .. I really hope that "commodore" was him that got caught with his finace and their 18 month old baby in the back. Just seems a bit too conincidental that they were heading that way on the gateway, two people and two kids in a commodore and they looked as scraggly as the guy in the pic as well. When you really sit here and think about it, having "kids" in the car is no more dangerous than having an adult passenger. The only difference being that an adult passenger can speak for themselves if they don't want you to race, kids are helpless and are oblivious to the danger their parents are putting them in. /Rant.
  11. Andrew's on a RDO this friday so we might head out for a bit. See how wrecked I am from work.
  12. That's right, YOU could have been driving and you would have been right royally raped for everything they could find. Are you sure it wasn't just the highway patrol, rather than the STTF... STTF I thought would have found the more major defects in a car, rather than a wing and a cracked window. Not 100% sure... But there is nothing here that says I have to pay anything - IE I have no form to take to QLD Transport to pay with... Hopefully nothing arrives in the mail though... I got a defect WAY back when springwood maccas was the place to be for my "turbo whistle". That was by a department of transport guy and a copper together going over my car. I never got a fine nor demerit points, all I had to do was show up to a DOT and get the defect cleared. Even then the peanuts ****ed it up and didn't clear it properly. I got a registered item delivered to me. I shit myself thinking it was a speeding fine or something but it was just a letting saying I hadn't cleared my defect. Boy did they get a rude phone call.
  13. I think everyone that comes to QLD has to try a yatala pie at least once. Although I have to admit, they are better on a cold rainy day than a day like today that is like 35 degrees :S As for the car scene in Brisbane/Gold Coast, the BWCP is certainly the place to be, except it's going to be closed soon. Legal drags are held at willowbank and theres also a drift day on at Queensland Raceway next weekend. Prepare to die from the heat but, it gets scorching out there. Mechanics, I suggest you go here here and here. Other than that, enjoy your stay. If you want to see the Brisbane River closely, the citycats are a good idea
  14. Theres a thread here about this. Seems to be that some people think it's a falc and some think it's a commodore. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=60868
  15. It is possible, just expensive. It's like $100 per car or something like that.
  16. Do you think I showed them the photo?
  17. That's ****ing disgusting
  18. Your a silly man! How could you have done that!
  19. ... why would we get discounts at the drags for being SAu members? No one gets discounts at the drags AFAIK.
  20. Nope... Mines just finished her din dins and she's come in licking her chops.. Now she's just about to settle down again on the rug I've put on the box at the end of my bed for her to lie on. She'lll stay there till I go to bed and then she'll move onto the bed and lie in the most annoying spot she can find. Then she'll wake me up at 4am to go outside.
  21. Lauren, you know how I was saying that Nelix just walks up and lets me know that she's hungry then walks away. She just did it. Claws the back of my computer chair... then walks away. Just lets me know she's hungry.
  22. *puts away the salt and vinegar chips*
  23. That's disturbing.
  24. Make sure you document everything that's happened as well.
  25. I'm pretty sure an acquantance of ours bought a soarer from there. It was one that we were looking at which is why I know this feedback. He had it for a few weeks and the turbos blew. The company replaced them AFAIK which was really good. That's all I've heard about them. Andrew probably has a more accurate account of the event.
