It seems to be the year for bad things to happen. I've had no where near the bad days that all of you have had, but my sisters mother in law died of cancer. Her body was riddled and when the doctors finally took a good look, they gave her 9 months. She died within 2. I didn't know her that well but I hate seeing my sister soo upset and an innocent life taken to such a deadly disease.
Then my grandad gets put into hospital with throat cancer. He couldn't eat. Then being in hospital, he had food in his lungs (cancer was on the flap that covers over your lungs when eating) which created an infection and got pneamonia and was put into intensive care. He was in a coma for 4 weeks (drug induced) to help his system try and recover. They gave him a 25% chance of survival. He's now 20 kilo's lighter and in a rehabilitation hospital learning how to eat and swallow again. He has NO throat muscles what so ever. I guess that happens when you dont use them for 5 months. He has been fed by a tube for the last 5 months and has a tube in his throat (about his chest bone) which he breaths through and talks through.
Anything else bad that's happened is insignificant compaired to everything else.
