    Deca Review

What a GREAT weekend. BIG THANKS to all organizers and volunteers, for running such a smooth operation in testing temperatures. As usual the events were awesome, with a bit of technical manovering thrown into the mix. Bring on 2007!!!! I almost came out unscaved, till the final run, where the tyre caught the guard, de-lipped it and consequently shredded the tyre. The guard has already been repaired and the paint patched up . Need to raise the front about 10mm
  2. What can i say; i'm a wog Will catch up soon PS: This weekend is out of the question: DECA
  3. HAPPY B'DAY BUDDY!!! When are we having another poker night?
  4. Using the thread title: R33: Painting Rear Garnish, D.I.Y., there is only one way to do it properly
  5. Have you removed the 4 nuts from the inside of the boot? Then there are about 3 clips holding it in place, which come off easily
  6. Sorry to hear buddy. I've always feared this would happening to me, when i leave my car out. Good Luck with the repair
  7. When you plan it
  8. You can only view your own "warning bar". Every user has one and it will show you a % of warning b4 being banned
  9. Is it just me: I consider anything above 12 (a/f) lean. I would prefer to have a/f ratios sitting at 11.5 - 12. As Adriano has stated, you need to get the Pfc re-tuned. If you still can't lower the a/f ratio start looking at upgrading parts of the fuel system.
  10. Happy b'day buddy Don't listen to the others, as half of them are older than you
  11. Congrates guys!! Looks like you all had a great time, hope to be there for the next one.
  12. Two reasons you you can't borrow mine: 1/ Mine is a S1 afm, and wont work with a S2 engine/ecu package 2/ Matt (Mavric) is currently using my afm and coil packs, as his were stuffed. If a S1 afm will work, i am sure you can borrow Matt's stuffed one. Car still drives, etc, just cracks the shits intermitantly and you loose power for a few quick second bursts, after hammering it. If you just need to drive to your mechanic, it will definately get you there. Matt had the fault for months and still used the car as a daily driver.
  13. I prefer the previous/original design
  14. Just spoke to my mechanic. He says the gasket should not be a problem as the factory metal gasket is reusable. He also claimed that apart from one mod, the copy plenium is just as hard/easy to fit as the geniune GReddy item. The one modification refers to the fitting of the idle controll motor; the copy plenium he fitted for another customer has to be slightly modified, as the casting was not 100% and the idle controll motor didn't line up properly. Nothing a small grinding tool couldn't fix. The R34 fuel rails have different mounting positions to the R33, so you may need to make special adaptor brackets to fit a 34 rail onto this plenium, unless it has various mounting holes to accomodate for each model.
  15. Judging from Pete's last antics in the boss's 34, i'll guess no restrictions
  16. PM Dave (silva33), he may still have his old S2 afm. A six-pack may help your cause
  17. Great to hear Ben! I hope you didn't loose a hub-cap?
  18. Nope............. Still my choice All depends on your apllication. If your evo is a dedicated track car and you have a Level 3 CAMS licence, i would say Enkie, due to the weight differance. For anything else i would go the 5zigen. You will not notice the differance in handling between the two, for a road/casual track car. Both are top quality rims, so you can't go wrong.
  19. Talk it up Bris; we all know you moved to Vic to learn how to drive from the best . Unfortunately, i am not one of them
  20. Not to technically minded myself, but i know that +5 on the stock gauge is NOT 16psi, it is about 9-10psi. When i ran 13psi, it showed +7 on the dash gauge. It appears that you have now by-passed the factory solinoid, resulting in a slightly higher boost setting, as boost is now only controlled by the actuator's boost rating. PS: Any owner that has a bleed valve attached and claims to have never increased boost is full of shit. I see nothing wrong in increasing boost to a safe level, but hate it when people are obviously taking shit. I hope you didn't fall for that line.

  22. - Does the plenum come with full gaskets, hoses, etc; just like the GReddy unit? - My mechanic will probably not be able to fit it till early January, as he is pretty busy. - Also if my car was to be the test/trial car, the plenum casting would have to be of a satisfactory standard, otherwise there is no way i'll spend money installing something i am not happy with. And this can't be decided till my mechanic and myself see the unit first hand. - As they are coming from Japan, does this mean they are NOT a China copy?
  23. Just some friendly advise looks like the reo' needs to be lifted to support the bar a little better. Just loosen the 2 bolts at either end of the reo, angle it up more and fasten the bolts back up. From the pics looks like there it too much gap btw the headlights and bar. Hope it didn't offend you, just trying to be helpful.
  24. They usually take pics in the engine bay to send to epa, as most police officers are clueless about mods. But if they didn't pop your bonnet, i have no idea why they take pics; unless they were also clueless about ride height, wheels, ect...
  25. Agreed; Darkboy's design is my choice
