  1. GTST4Newbie: Ian Have you updated your laptop software yet. My mechanic has and it made a world of differance. I am using s/h 550cc SARD injectors, just had all 6 cleaned and tested (again) and 2 are still rated as Fair (from a rating scale of; Good, Fair, Bad). Previously my idle was shit, poped, hunted and very rich. Now with the V400 tunning software my mechanic was able to make my car idle at 870-910rpm, A/F @ 14.2, with only a very occational pop. The air-con idle is also steady . I can not talk highly enough of the potential the software has released in the Wolf3DV4 ecu. The new software also has a "data logging" feature! PS: BTW, V5 is due to be released with full sequential drivers (up to 8 cyl), and steady to 0.5ohm. Not to mention a whole bunch of other goodies . Also note: That at the same time as the retune, i replaced the main 12V cable from the boot to the engine bay, as i was seeing my voltage drop down to 12.4V at idle, with the air-con, headlights, stereo, etc, on. This may have affected the ecu and caused alot of my night time idle problems. Now with the new cable my voltage doesn't drop below 13.6V at idle.
  2. One thing that i can't get over. They imported the car, worked on it and painted engine parts, etc, yet they didn't bother to replace a $70 battery, WHY?!!
  3. I'm in Work permitting on the day.
  4. GREAT!! Thanks for your efforts guys. Will confirm leave first then, start filling forms, etc.
  5. I have a stock exhaust, was ment to be a 33 but it definately does not fit any 33. Not sure what car it came off, but definately a 90's nissan as it looks very similar to a 33, but with small pipe diameter and a little shorter.
  6. Do not compair Shannons to Justcars, they are leagues appart. There is a WA guy on the forums that works for Shannons, does awesome deals, give him a PM: _8OO5TED_ (real name: Matt) He will call you from work and sort out your insurance
  7. $1680 + postage
  8. $280 + postage, as i still have to remove the tyresIf you are interested , please PM me with the delivery post code so that i can get a price on postage.
  9. Shop is not Nismo, it's actually Nisma(legal reasons) and i have never been impressed with the owner, heard a few things. When you said Sunshine, private importer, i had a bad feeling it was him . Close enough to my house so i'll drive past and have a quick glance. Car looks very distinctive with those rims. If you need any further help, drop me a PM.
  10. I know there is a sarcastic remark in there somewhere Well the reputation of EAS has been questioned and in my opinion unfairly answered by those that do not use the services of EAS and others that have personal grudges. Unfortunately this thread goes beyond the 100k service question. I have said my 2c worth (and a little more ), and wish everybody receives the same high level of service and workmanship, from what ever w/shop they choose to attend, that i have received at EAS over the last 5yrs.
  11. Each to their own. My car has only been worked on by EAS, it has been converted from a 100% stock 33gts-t, to a highly modified one, and is still in great shape. It has held together strongly even with all the shit i give at it. My experience is that he is very knowledgable, thorough, reasonabily priced, honest and extremely helpful. When others have stated "that combo wont work; you don't need to do that; etc", the car has proven otherwise. He has a few tough machine coming out this year, one is a green 33. Cosmetically the car will not please many, but that is the owner's preferance, but take note of it's mechanical build and power .
  12. Have you called Steve to ask how to use it properly? What is "wbo2"?My car has just been tuned using the new laptop software and it is GREAT!! Both my mechanic and i stated that this is honestly 10X better than the previous tunning package. My car now ideals with only a 40rpm variance, at A/F ratios of 14.2, even with aircon, lights, etc; it's all smooth. I couldn't beleive what a differance a laptop upgrade could make to the tune of the ecu. The new software even has "data logging" :PBJ:, great for track days, etc. I give Steve, at AEM (Wolf designer/manufacturer), a HUGE thumbs up!! Anyone that has the knowledge to tune the Wolf, should not hesatate to upgrade their software. Can't wait for the Wolf 3D V5 to be released. Fully sequential injection (up to 8cyl), limited self tunning/learning and a whole lot more . The hand controller looks sweet too, but probably a little too big :. Obviously geared towards race use/display.
  13. As usual Ash, jumping to pointless conclusions before reading the posts properly. All those things you mentioned do NOT have to be done at 100K, why not spread the cost and so some b4, some at 100 and others after? I have stated numerous times that details have to be discussed and sorted b4 the job. Not all customers can lay $#### on the table at one hit, so he will not replace all the parts at once. But if a customer specifies what they want, and this gets done way b4 Vic receives the car, then a proper quote will be given. All I stated was that the parts ARE genuine, and you still have to add your bullshit that they are dodgy, just because we are not talking about your "buddy" w/shops. How many w/shops have you blown your horn for?, only to end up moving to another w/shop because the previous didn't live up to the reputation. I know of two that have quietly been removed from your vocabulary, over the last few years.
  14. That is true. That is why i told him to confirm what he wants done. I still have my original bearing, that where checked and were fine. It is always good to discuss such issues in detail, not just "how much for 100k service", Vic:"$400", "thanks, bye". Which is pretty much how it went down, as Vic was too busy to take the call. Best to get a break-down of parts cost and labour cost. PS: My bearing were still very smooth and rotated nicely. Maybe they had been replaced in Japan, maybe my km where genuine at the time (69k), i don't know :
  15. Not always....In the last few years, i have seen plenty of example of people not getting what they payed for :
  16. Just read this; I happened to be at EAS (Vic was tunning my car) when he received this call. I have used them for the past 5-6years and have been more than happy with their quality of work and prices. Don't be fooled, higher prices do NOT mean better quality. If you where to personally visit the w/shop, there is a reason why they are always filled with cars, so i am not the only one that appreciates their standard of work. My car is a great example of a neat and safely modified Skyline. In my 4.5years on SAU various shops had become "the flavour of the month", most of these have come and gone. Did you discuss exactly what you wanted done, which parts you wanted replaced. May pay to give EAS another call and speak to Vic directly. Admittantly he may take a little longer than others, due to his constant work load, but you can rest assured, that the car will be completed to the highest standard. And yes Ash parts are always genuine, without the over inflated mark-ups that other w/shops may charge. Should you want to discuss this further, i am more than happy to.
  17. If that is the case then i'm out. Not willing to spend all that money for one day at one track. Great Alpine Cruise, here i come .
  18. Does anyone care???
  19. Just remembered i have a pior appointment on the 18th . Will have to miss this one and i'm not happy.
  20. My price has been stated, you're welcome to make an offer, then add postage on top of that.
  21. This is true... No garuntees on a dyno and if it blows, you will be paying for repair. EAS Performance Airport West 9330 2001 Is only half the distance away, not sure what he will charge for and inspection though, give Vic a call. Where is the dealership located?
  22. Andrew, maybe i didn't make myself clear, i intend to race Not driving all that way for a Sunday cruise
  23. Dave (silva33) and myself are looking for a room. Would be great if you have 2 spare beds.
  24. I beleive so, but not 100% sure, best to ask Chris or Bec.
  25. MALTECH http://www.maltech.com.au/home.html ADR approved, straight fit, no hassles and highly recommended. I.ve had them on my car for the last 2-3yrs and have had no problem.
