Hey David, As long as that lil' birdy is reliable, keep passing those messages over The chances of you seeing my car are very slim, as it spends most it's life in the garage . If you see/hear a white AU falcon ute beep at you, i am sayin' hi. Maybe it is time to organise a Westie meet, just to catch up and talk shit over a beer.............or two , once my car is back on the road.

I'm @ A Loss What Wheels Do I Buy?

19's DO NOT LOOK OUT OF PLACE on R33's. But you will loose low end torque and top end power, get about 50km less per tank, and probably loose a little handling. Comfort is the SAME as 18's provided you get the same profile, ie:235/35/19. 19's are purely just for looks, everthing else stick with 18's That's why i have a spare set of 17's, for track, spirited cruises and dyno days. I would stay away from 20's! -
Or blown ceramic exhaust wheel, but most probably i/c pipe

I think 3lit3 32 is just quoting the price, to show that $2100, Bigg d paid, was not really a good "trade price". Don't think 3lit3 32 was pushing for a sale........................... well, not for this turbo

That looks sweeeet!!! Nice buy Al, hope to have a closer look soon

I've had 19's on my 33 for 4yrs, never had any issues yet. But they are illegal so i will wear it on the chin if i get cannaried. I am also 29yrs old with a 100% clean driving history, the car is only used on weekends, so it is less likely to be noticed. Your rim choices are pretty good, the syle of rims that i would put on my car . Make sure you do NOT need spacers when they test fit the rims as these are deffinately illegal, also make sure that the centre hole, of the rim, is the right size for the hub. If the hole is too big the studs will be supporting all the pressure, force, etc, of the car. This happened to me, after three years of driving on the rims, i had them powdercoated, when my mate put the wheel on my car he noticed the centre hole was to big and not resting on the hub. This was only noticed as the centre caps had not yet been fitted. The solution was simple, just went to Bob Jane T-marts, measured up the hub and hole, then ordered a set of "Hub Rings". I consider these Hub Rings to be a very safe solution, so if your new wheels needs hub-rings to make it fit properly, that should be ok.

You must have a VERY "happy power" giving dyno. I was getting 89-91% duty cycle on the stock injectors when i had 184rwkw. Dyno's are just a tunning tool, i have seen over 40rwkw differences from one dyno to another. It my not be the dyno that is inaccurate, as the tunner can do alot to make it read "happy" as well.

Hi Saliba, Good to see a new enthusiest from the West . Very nice car; but remember you are modifing it according to YOUR taste, so don't take other people's opinions too seriously. Having said that........ i like it If you are interested in going on cruises, bbqs, events, track days, etc, best join SAU VIC and be a offical member. Once a financial member you'll have access to the "members only" forum. Just open the 'sticky' at the top of the Victoria forum. PS: I live in Delahey, which is only 5mins from St.Albans.

True.... There are also cheaper alternatives (compared to AP Racing), that are better than the factory GTR Brembos.

So Ash 7in wide rim is better than 9in wide?? BS!!!! Read my post: I simply stated that if soeone was going to buy rims, 17x9 is better than 16x7. The 17in rims would also be a better "all rounder", as also stated in my post. Brembo upgrade: Find someone selling a set of Brembos from a GTR and fit them to your car . Troy (Username:Roy) had informed me that R34 Brembo mounting are slightly different to R33, so you'll probably need to find 34GTR brakes, which can be pricey, $2200+ . At this price you're probably better off spending a little more and getting the AP Racing brakes. Have you done anything to your current brakes? - Fluid: Castrol SRF or Motul (not sure what model) - Brake pads: i currently use RB74's from Race Brakes: http://www.racebrakes.com.au/html/vic.html - Upgraded Rotors: DBA4000, there is currently a group buy on these forums, or they can also be purchased from Race Brakes. - Braided Brake Lines: Maltech: http://www.maltech.com.au/home.html These, when combined, will DRASTICALLY improve your braking

No rush, but i am going to advertise them once i get my replacement rims and the first person with cash will get rims. Yes, S15 and Skylines have the same stud pattern
-
At first i was like "WTF is he talkin about" Then i looked at my post PS: Thanks Compliments of DECA skid pan. If you are going to buy rims, you'd be better off buying a set of 17 x 9 for the rear. I have a set of 4, 17in rims for sale (mis-matched pairs, great for drag, drift and drag ), rear are new and only been used twice, fronts are s/h and in good condition, $300 for all 4, no tyres Had to upgrade due to my latest Brembo brake upgrade .

emsta: Calder Park Rwy, is just off the Calder Fwy, near Taylors Lakes, Hillside, etc., just before Sunbury. On a Friday night, it is $20 to spectate and $55 to enter your car. To compete you will need to where long paint, long sleeved top, runners/shoes, and a Helmet (which can be hired).

If that is a serious statement i better set the record straight. The bigger the wheel, the heavier it is, also the more force/power needed to get it moving. Due to the small profile there is no give in the tyre, thus will break traction more easily. 19's are just for show, they are bad for everything else. I am not bagging you as i also have 19's on my Skyline. The Apexi pod will not improve anything until you are making over 230rwkw, that's where the std air box becomes a restriction. In fact your pod is probably loosing you some performance, as you probably have it open in the engine bay, free to suck in all that hot air. A pod always should to be enclosed in a custom box with a big cold air feed, from the front bar. Hope to see ya next time at Calder

How Many 275kw Auto Rb25det Are On The Streets?
Al replied to dangerman4's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Why do you need N2O? I have RB25det, tomei cams, head porting, wolf3D ecu, HKS GTRS@18psi and intend to get over 275rwkw. You don't need to have a big laggy turbo to reach this target. -
I was working at the "T" intersection tonight, saw both your cars, but didn't know they where you till now . Was to cold to hang around, so i left straight away, after i finished. How did ya go?
-
